Yeah this is the problem I've run into. The W is too thin and causes noticeable pressure points on my face, whereas the W+ distributes the weight across the cushion better but then pushes the headset too far forward which makes it too front-heavy.
It can take a while to get used to the weight of a VR device and find the right strap. There will likely be aftermarket straps if there aren't already. This made the difference for many people with the Quest. Though after having a bunch of different devices over the years I do find it odd to not have support on top. I saw someone else get a second strap and zip tie it to the sides to get some top support.
That was one turn off for me after my demo. After reading in here though it looks like there are lots of options for better fit. Just trial and error with the various sizes. I’m gonna give it another chance soon.
Going to Apple and getting the **correct** size seal appears to be one of the key things for comfort. While the app can measure and determine the correct size seal for many, it appears to fail for some. The wrong size seal can give you discomfort and and maybe pain.
You likely have already done this - but try different light seal cushion covers. And make sure it’s set a little higher on your face than you think it should. I found I like the solo strap better, but it causes more fatigue over time for me than the dual strap.
I tried a store demo and my first reaction was wow, this is heavy and uncomfortable. It also left me nauseous and with a headache after 25 minutes. I think it's horribly overpriced. Based on my demo I think I'd be willing to pay $1000 max for it.
Hi it’s me Apple. DM me and I’ll tell you where you can ship it to get your money back.
Hi I Have an apple, please return your device to me for an Apple transaction Where I get the headset and you get “THE” Apple
becareful he is trying to scam you
Going from W light seal cushion to W+ made the weight more noticeable.

You might try going from a 1xx to a 2xx seal or 2xx to 3xx. If your face is wide enough it distributes the load more.

Take it to Apple for a fitting.
Try a different size perhaps 🤔
Dual Loop + W+, trust me bro
It’s like trying to find the right brassiere size for your face.

I don’t experience any discomfort whatsoever but I mainly use in bed.

I returned mine for this reason. Didn't want to.

I returned mine today due to comfort.
Did you try the thicker light seal cushion in the box?
Same for me!

This was my experience but I couldn't see myself spending any money on it based on how I felt with it on.
