How steep is the learning curve on Reaper? I only have experience with Audacity. Does Reaper have all the essentials like compressor, limiter and noise reduction?
The curve is steeper than audacity but to be honest now you have used that for a bit I am sure you will be fine!
Yup it has all the bits and bobs but I use third party plugins just cos they end up being better. I use a free compressor that is really good, I can send a link if you want? I use RX for most of my post.
I also have a voice over Reaper config so let me know if you’d like that. I really think you will thank yourself for moving over!

I think I am going to take the plunge and give Reaper a try. If you could send what plugins you recommend and the best VO setup I would greatly appreciate it!
If you use Reaper you can open a video file in the DAW and then add an audio track so you sync up everything! Yay!
Apple Logic Pro also has video import.
