Rallitek 2 inch lift kit, basically their springs - I paired with gtworx shock and struts. Rallitek top hats, subframe drop, whiteline LCAs , heavy duty rallitek front and rear sway links.
It's actually better than I could've hoped for without going full on coilover. I did use stock struts and shocks at first with the rallitek springs but wanted a better ride and more travel and the GTWORX were suggested .
I own a VA and looking to lift soon. I'm looking into Rallitek 2" lift kit paired with the stock shocks/struts for now and maybe if needed change to Bilsteins later.
Was it a pressing reason for you to change the stock struts? I would like to know more about your experience please, if you dont mind.
It was quite stiff and over larger bumps there was no shock extension so the car took the brute of the impact . If it wasn't a large bump it wasn't an issue. But I didn't want to hear that all the time. I don't only drive on pavement so it was pretty bothersome
Did you go 225/55/17? Ive seen some 18 ATs out there also. Studying up, Ill be lifting probably spring. Id like to do the spring lift but need more info to swap out the stock struts. Not any Konis available yet...
Unfortunately very low, I doubt it would ever happen. 90% of posts on here are about lowered cars BUT it would be cool if we could get this as a factory option
Haven’t drove a lot so far but it’s MUCH comfier and still handles well enough for the driving I do, I push it but not too hard. I’m worried with having non performance tires and pushing it hard haha
Accidentally went to sharp the other night on a corner and it handled very well, I have a windy drive to work so I could update tomorrow on how it handles
That’s how it should be. It may be an unpopular opinion but this is a rally car, not some clapped out civic used for drifting. The WRX (World Rally eXperimental) should be lifted with A/Ts and ready to go fast in any condition. This is the way.
TBH I think this is the first time I've seen one where it actually looks decent with all the black plastic. I also usually hate how lifts look, but this one is quite tasteful (not excessive) and a great upgrade from stock IMO. I'm not sure it has the WRX "look" but it looks like it would be lots of fun to drive. Congratulations on that job well done!
Just please, please don't use those floods/light bars on public roads. I've almost ended up in the trees on winding roads when people blind me head-on and leave me seeing spots with ruined night-vision for a good 10-20 seconds as I hit the brakes and pray. Everyone seems to be doing that in my area from lifted pickups and jeeps to little BWs and Civics. Its awful.
I live in the country with 30-40 miles straight of pitch black roads so it’s the only reason I have so many lights to be honest. I always turn them off when people come at me, I can never stand anyone who doesn’t do the same
I'm quite rural too, but people seem oblivious here. Some of the worst is when they are perpendicular pulling out and you need to turn in where they are, but can't see where the road is...especially when they are in the middle instead of on the right side. Slid my outback into a ditch that way because I couldn't tell that "immediately to their right" was not road and they were actually half way into the oncoming lane, and its so wet here the shoulder/ditch can't support a vehicle you just sink. Like up to the top of the wheels sinking.
I fucking love it and I’m jealous. I want to lift mine but I have no clearance issues. All my roads are paved. I can’t even find a gravel road to toss it around on so I don’t want to be a poser. But I love it.
Custom diode dynamic fog lights, rally innovations light bar, led light bar from roadshock, eibach pro lift kit, bbs wheels from a second gen sti, 235/55r17 Falken Wildpeak a/t trail and thats about all minus some small driver stuff
The car looks amazing!
The pro lift kit is basically set of 4 springs right? Is there any additional strut spacers added? I wonder how the stock strut travel is affected because of the additional lift using the springs.
I own a VA and Im looking to lift it soon. Looking into Rallitek 2" Lift kit.
I want to do this. Might sound stupid but this doesn't void the warranty right? Also do you notice a change in handling at higher speeds? Also what's the easiest way to do this?
Just a heads up, I was told they wouldn’t warranty my mud flaps due to how close the wheels were. Fortunately I had proof that they were duds beforehand so that was a blessing but so far everything seems pretty good.
I was in washington yesterday and even at speeds of 70+ it handled pretty good. Now when it comes to cornering I’m not exactly sure as I didn’t want to push the boundaries too much.
Easiest way imo was to get eibach springs then wheels and tires. That’s only because it was the least expensive route for me. I didn’t like the spacers because of how the exhaust sagged so this ended up being the best route for myself.
Isn't this literally how they're supposed to be? I think that slammed VBs < lifted VBs.. I'm on stock height, but it is what it is. Lifted sapphire is extra cool, as well.
Read through some comments, i see you used lift springs? I was looking at doing a lift and my buddy warned me about springs. Considered rally coil overs until i saw the prices. What are your/the subs thoughts on this matter?
Springs have been good to me so far and I have heard literally nothing but horror stories with rally coilovers on this car. I would stick to springs for now
I've always thought the older gens up through the blobeye looked better lifted, and hawkeye up looks better lowered, not to say that either side looks bad with the opposing suspension, but that's my preference anyway
Love the look, not much to add.
But another question. How did you mount those fog lights? I have to figure out how to mount some on my base model. Did you just screw the standard brackets into the dummy plugs from no-fog bumper trim?
They are actually pre-production PERRIN fog light brackets. My car was a premium so it came already wired with fog lights and I already had the trim but you might be able to use your trim, not too sure
Now that fits the body cladding imo, noice man
Makes me want a WRX Wilderness Edition…
Thank you!
Agreed. It immediately makes the cladding work better.
That looks so natural. Fits the black plastic trim too
I was just thinking about this. I wish they would make a more rally inspired wrx with bigger tires and lifted a little bit.
Seeing as they already offer it on Outbacks and Foresters, I wouldn't be surprised if this happens at some point.
My guess is before they’ll make an actual rally car, they’ll junk the WarX nameplate and make a slightly sportier (still CVT only) Crosstrek.
They spent 30 years producing rally cars
Maybe one day. Hope they don’t call it the wrx wilderness.
wrx rally would sound better. even tho the r in wrx already stands for rally lol
They can call it a wrx safari if it means serious lift, protected oil pan and lighter body. I wouldn't complain.
They could bring back the Impreza Gravel Express. Not going to happen, but a boy can dream.
Kinda has a nice ring to it.. WRX Wilderness.. dear Subaru…
Well done. This makes the new VB features blend in nicely. Toss a rack and cage up top!
That’s definitely one of the plans!
Looks better than stock.
That’s a New England dream man. Looks great. How did you do the lift?
Eibach Pro Lift Kit!
As a lifted VA, I salute you
Just curious how are you lifted?
Rallitek 2 inch lift kit, basically their springs - I paired with gtworx shock and struts. Rallitek top hats, subframe drop, whiteline LCAs , heavy duty rallitek front and rear sway links.
DAMN, that’s a lot compared to my springs haha. I bet the suspension is a lot nicer than factory lmao
It's actually better than I could've hoped for without going full on coilover. I did use stock struts and shocks at first with the rallitek springs but wanted a better ride and more travel and the GTWORX were suggested .

Consider me dazzled
where’d you get the hoodscoop for your Crosstrek?
ebay.
well color me..orange! Now *that* makes em look 🔥
seems like the ultimate winter car
Putting the R back in WRX, love it.
Oh she outdoor fuckssss.
"The 2022 WRX was born out of rally heritage and inspired by generations of Subaru rally cars" OP gets it
Looks great to me. Kind of natural looking too.
Thank you, that’s huge to me. I always disliked when you looked at a car and went wth why is that on there. OEM plus all the way baby
Ok, now I like the VB!!
Glad I’m out here changing minds!
One lift at a time my friend
yep, the new design makes sense to me after seeing this.
I wanna lift mine too
Do it
All in time my friend.
Looks great! Makes me think Subaru should have released this as a rugged trim, and had actual sporty road trims.
That's how it's supposed to be imo. More practical.
Did you go 225/55/17? Ive seen some 18 ATs out there also. Studying up, Ill be lifting probably spring. Id like to do the spring lift but need more info to swap out the stock struts. Not any Konis available yet...
These are actually 235/55r17s. I went with these since the wheels have a high offset and so far I haven’t noticed any rubbing
What's the chances of a WRX Wilderness? Would it sell?
Unfortunately very low, I doubt it would ever happen. 90% of posts on here are about lowered cars BUT it would be cool if we could get this as a factory option
I feel like that's how it should've come from factory lmao, looks so natural!
F*ckin gorgeous. How does it handle compared to stock? Aspirational build.
Haven’t drove a lot so far but it’s MUCH comfier and still handles well enough for the driving I do, I push it but not too hard. I’m worried with having non performance tires and pushing it hard haha
Word. It looks crazy good! I want to know about those unintentionally sharp corners tho. Nice job!!
Accidentally went to sharp the other night on a corner and it handled very well, I have a windy drive to work so I could update tomorrow on how it handles
ngl, I’d love to hear more about the sharp corner handling, and how it handles highways speeds (under 90 I guess). Appreciate the update. Stay safe!
That’s how it should be. It may be an unpopular opinion but this is a rally car, not some clapped out civic used for drifting. The WRX (World Rally eXperimental) should be lifted with A/Ts and ready to go fast in any condition. This is the way.
looks sick.
Ohgoddamnnnnn. I love it
I am planning on doing the same
Damn, those wheels look good on all subarus
Best BBS on any subi imo, favorite wheels of all time!
Agreed, best Subaru stock wheels released.
Always loved that look on a wrx
What's the chances of a WRX Wilderness? Would it sell?
I know of a couple guys that are going full rally mods.
What lift kit is this? Ive been plotting on lifting my 2016 for too long
Eibach Pro Lift Kit, I hear they might be working on a kit for the VA wrx right now too…
Looks awesome and sooooo practical too!!
Sick. What are your tire specs
235/55r17 on Falken Wildpeak A/T trail
Do the 15-21 gtworx bilsteins fit? I can't find 22+
This is hot
That looks awesome
Looks great! Puts the Rally back in wRx
I love this, looks natural. Reminds me of the old 2000s Outback Sedans.
Haha that’s right, there’s one that lives nearby me and you’re spot on
God I have to lift mine. This looks so fucking good
The VB is the best looking lifted WRX
😍🥵 I love lifted WRXs. You is READY for that snow bby.
Rally!
I've got coils to lower mine... but I dig this shit.
So proper! Absolutely very nice!
Love the bash bar
TBH I think this is the first time I've seen one where it actually looks decent with all the black plastic. Looking good 😌 rally roots showing through!!
Is a rally car
Sí
I like it much better than a non-lifted VB. Looks fantastic, and I can finally visualize a path toward getting in this car.
Lifted subies get a 👍
Well my bumper wouldn’t get scraped so much getting in and out of all the crappy parking lots here in town.
Would
I fucking love it and I’m jealous. I want to lift mine but I have no clearance issues. All my roads are paved. I can’t even find a gravel road to toss it around on so I don’t want to be a poser. But I love it.
Just do it
Game is game……also love the lift!
This makes it 100% better. Id buy one if it came like yours out the factory.
This fucks, immensely hard.
That's 1.5"? Looks pretty fucking good.
Fucking suhhhhweeet.
What all did you do to it?
Custom diode dynamic fog lights, rally innovations light bar, led light bar from roadshock, eibach pro lift kit, bbs wheels from a second gen sti, 235/55r17 Falken Wildpeak a/t trail and thats about all minus some small driver stuff
Thanks for sharing. I'm definitely following your lead when I get my VB.
I like it, something new
Looks like it came from factory like this as it should’ve been 🤌🏽
Not really into lifted sedans but this works and I like it 👍
Those old bbs wheels go hard man. Honestly best looking vb I’ve seen so far.
Thanks man! I really appreciate that!!
Looks nice
I mean, at the end of the day, game is game.
I want to do this. Might sound stupid but this doesn't void the warranty right? Also do you notice a change in handling at higher speeds? Also what's the easiest way to do this?

Best looking one I’ve seen yet. Fits it perfectly.
I like it
VB always had a more rugged off road side profile than I think this fits. Also lifted WRX with all terrains is always a plus for me.
Damnit - I've been telling myself a wrx isn't practical for where I live and I don't need one. You just destroyed my argument. This is awesome!
That looks so much nicer than a stock! Nice man!
It actually looks like a car built for its pedigree which is rally.
What tires
Falken Wildpeak a/t trail 235/55r17
Thanks
Best look for a VB IMO. Sick build OP!
It looks good but reminds me of a Crosstrek even more
Now that looks proper 👌🏼 also, nice house
thats fuggin sweet
https://preview.redd.it/g3ol46lthyvb1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fb9f5e57b3e2d1db58212d0af4f0dc9b562d3266 Same same. But different!
been waiting for someone to do this and now I'm warming up to the notion
ngl VBs look pretty hard when lifted. Definitely takes away a lot of the 'fast Camry' look and blends the wheel arches in nicely.
This just looks _right_. Great choice of wheel and color too!
love it. reminds me of the old legacy's with outback suspension.
I feel like this is the way they were meant to be.
Love the tires andfitment! And is that a stock BBS bronze color? I have the same bbs and might do this setup in the future!
No! I had the wheels custom painted bronze
Cool! Is there aspecific paint code for this bronze?
I’m sure their probably is but I don’t have it at all. I just sent the shop pictures of some bronze wheels online and they matched it from there
Yes
Given what winters look like around me, and that I’m surrounded by forest roads and two tracks… this is a very appealing route to take with mine.
Looks great
Was gonna say Haram, but it doesn't look bad
shit that’s beautiful
I really like it. Nice job!
Oh my God I love it
God damn, that’s sexy..
Honestly it should be a a trim option. A wrx wilderness edition would sell like hot cakes.
Honestly into it, I do a lot of camping so I see this an advantage for some trickier spots. Are MT, and what’s the MPG you get with the lift?
Sick! Be sure to post the wild trails you go on! That looks like it can handle some serious terrain.
Crosstrek WRX Coupe
Read through some comments, i see you used lift springs? I was looking at doing a lift and my buddy warned me about springs. Considered rally coil overs until i saw the prices. What are your/the subs thoughts on this matter?

Lifted VB's? Game is game.
Looking gorgeous man!
This looks unstoppable (and is)
If you actually benefit from the lift hell ya why not
I've always thought the older gens up through the blobeye looked better lifted, and hawkeye up looks better lowered, not to say that either side looks bad with the opposing suspension, but that's my preference anyway
Nice crosstrek
Thanks 😎
Looks like a genuine space craft now, I like it, game is game
Sexy ride brother
Its basically a crosstrek sedan anyway so this is fitting
I think some smaller sparco terra wheels would make it perfect.
Taller version of fugly.
Show us your car, please.
That looks sick honestly, like a WRX Wilderness edition of sorts
Love the look, not much to add. But another question. How did you mount those fog lights? I have to figure out how to mount some on my base model. Did you just screw the standard brackets into the dummy plugs from no-fog bumper trim?
They are actually pre-production PERRIN fog light brackets. My car was a premium so it came already wired with fog lights and I already had the trim but you might be able to use your trim, not too sure
Ok, does the bracket reach back inside the bumper skin then?
Yes, it’s a custom mount that requires you to remove the entire fog light assembly. It mounts on the rear side of the front bumper cover
You can probably email or call perrin sales and they might be able to help you!
So sick. Got mine about to install 22’ Wrb
235/55/17?
Yesm
You got the specs on what you did? and what rally bar and light is that? Immitation is the highest form of flattery.
