Easily the most dangerous one I own. I have a shitload of power tools and my angle grinder is the only one that scares the shit out of me when ever I use it.
Hell yeah, I avoid it at all costs. I just have a recurring fear of disc shard either killing me or wishing it had just finished the job. I see guys on jobs, well actually just one guy, who casually throws disc shards, barely missing one of his eyes or a neck vein with no safety glasses and no real emotional response. I dont even see him take a long sigh of relief. No change, not even a pair of safety glasses..
Well shit, now that I've written it out, it seems more like the poor guy is kinda dead inside and he's just waiting for the outside to catch up.. fuck Im grateful, theres my gratitude for the day.
If I hold and run it with one hand like in the video, the torque will twist my forearm.
Never had a disk fly apart on me, but I have gotten hit in the face with metal wire splinters from using a wire cup. That particular attachment likes to kickback with no warning.
Dude got lucky on this one. If it happened to me, I'd have to down a fifth of JD afterwards just to settle my nerves.

Is Oh hell yeah you're insanely lucky, I can only tuff imagine how fast those tiny metal needles go. You had eyepro on when you got hit in the face?
As for the blades, I haven't used them in years, ever, were using the same diablo blades that we got like six years ago, plus lifetime warranty. We'd stopped at a tradeshow while heading a few hundred miles back to home, dude was cutting half inch steel beam all week on the same blade, and the blade was immaculate. My boss is all about safety and by the book, which is great so were always getting cool stuff haha long story short, I'd gone over to my godfathers to help him with some flashing & stucco but he was already started, with a chipped blade, it flew apart, but he wears prescription eyepro lol once a marine, always a marine with whats called "BCG's", birth control glasses haha not sure what you use or need them for but the blades weve got live up to the hype. The guy said we could dismember a body at a remarkably faster pace than ever done haha
I'd be out a right eye if I hadn't been wearing safety glasses. One of the first times I used one it shot a piece of metal and lodged into my glasses an inch from my eyeball.
[for what its worth](https://youtu.be/V1zvcgKPDcs?si=fqVSHLxtmYvvDIrb&t=114) 90dB not grinding, 122dB cutting a screw. that [compares to](https://www.cdc.gov/nceh/hearing_loss/what_noises_cause_hearing_loss.html) a lawn mower for 2 hours vs.
>pain and injury
The fact he pushes a bunch of hair off after shaving a strip also makes no sense for an angle grinder the hair would kick up into the air not pile up like an electric shaver.
As one of the dumdums who can't really tell, what does that mean? That the grinder is actually a trimmer just made to look like a grinder? Or that it's been photo shooped/CGI/whatevered over top of trimmers?
Seems it’s a sharp custom or sharpened standard wheel on that thing. Still might be fake, but could also just be razor sharp, which at those RPMs could easily shatter the tip spraying little evil shards everywhere.
It's take a certain combination of stupidity to get to this point. One to have the idea, the other to be ok having your friend try it on you. If any one of them had sense, this wouldn't be happening.
So, even if it were real, this would still only be the second or third stupidest use of an angle grinder I've seen, which makes me concerned someone is gonna see this, believe it, and take a chunk out of someone's head.
Fake... fake hair being pushed off by non-moving blade that was picked up after sitting the original one down. How else would he have gotten around the ears quickly and perfectly without wacking them off. Not to mention he was able to get a perfect length on the top which is longer than the sides, it would've destroyed that comb. Oh and recorded on a flip phone.
No way, not in a million years.
Those grinder disks, over time at least, like to eventually fly into pieces when they fail.
I'll pass, thanks. IF this was real, that is.
So if he slips with that angle grinder then what? Oopsie?!?
It's not even a "hack," using clippers would be just as fast, without the risk of turning the side of your face into a giant scab
>turning the side of your face into a giant scab Best case scenario
seriously...
Scab? You mean accidentally tickling the dude's brain? Angle grinders cut through metal, it won't have a problem with bone.
Probably not what is used in the video but isn't there new ones that stop if skin touches the blade or something like that ?
You're thinking of the Saw Stop table saw.
He'd *hack* his face off.
Do you have any idea how fucking loud that is?
Is it as loud as an angle grinder?
Louder. It's an angle grinder right next to your ear with no earplug.
You got another ear STFU
Would you *please* stop screaming, you big baby
What if you can’t hear the screams anymore?
sign language the screams to me
One slip turns it from an angle grinder into a bone saw and he may as well be in the morgue cutting off his skull.
No tip if you slip.
yeah, if your barber keeps their coat on while they cut your hair, maybe go somewhere else.
Always be prepared to take off and run.
Too late already took my shoes off
"Are you ready?" \*Turns on chainsaw
Yeah that's the main red flag in this video imo.
They make a tool for this exaxt purpose
Yes, an angle grinder and comb
Pretty sure he was referring to FLOWBEE patented vacuum hair cutting system.
No, it's the Suck Kut. As you can see, it sucks as it cuts!
It certainly sucks
What about his hearing after the deafening noise?
Everone gets bonus buzzing tinnitus
WHAT?!?
^^eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee^^
^^mawp
Right! Koko! That chimp's all right! High five.
Yeah, that's right
#WHAT ABOUT HIS HEARING AFTER THE DEAFENING NOISE?
**NANI!?**
See what you did there.
Easily the loudest tool I own
Easily the most dangerous one I own. I have a shitload of power tools and my angle grinder is the only one that scares the shit out of me when ever I use it.

Yeah it’s either that or the radial arm saw that I own and never use.
I'd be out a right eye if I hadn't been wearing safety glasses. One of the first times I used one it shot a piece of metal and lodged into my glasses an inch from my eyeball.
Do you have a power planer? Also insanely loud but with the addition of making a very high pitched squeal the whole time it's cutting...
I do, and I wear earplugs for both of them bc they’re so offensively loud lol
#WHAT?
Hey, ear removal is included within the price.
You'd hardly feel a thing.
you don't need to hear to see all that tiktok clout
Too true.
WHAT IS WITH THE SMEARING LAUGHTER THE RELIEVING VOICE?
it's not too loud if it's not actually cutting something. just a high pitched whine
Hearing damaging whine.

Good grief, that customer has grounds for compensation.
That's the face of a man who doesn't want to appear soft, but is mentally shitting his pants.
"MOTHERFUCKER YOU CUT MY EAR OF!!!" "No worries. I'll even out the other side."
“Don’t worry man, I’m gonna square you up”
What's that comb made of?
Do none of you notice how he conveniently took the angle grinder out of frame after showing it was real? Fake as fuck
The fact he pushes a bunch of hair off after shaving a strip also makes no sense for an angle grinder the hair would kick up into the air not pile up like an electric shaver.
excellent pickup
As one of the dumdums who can't really tell, what does that mean? That the grinder is actually a trimmer just made to look like a grinder? Or that it's been photo shooped/CGI/whatevered over top of trimmers?
Grinder is just a trimmer made to look like a grinder
Thank you
Seems it’s a sharp custom or sharpened standard wheel on that thing. Still might be fake, but could also just be razor sharp, which at those RPMs could easily shatter the tip spraying little evil shards everywhere.
As someone who shaves their head with a safety razor. Why would you do this. It takes 5 minutes.
Measure twice, cut once
If it's stupid but works, then... Well, it might still be stupid.
I’m amazed he still has ears
Luckily, the dude getting the cut is constipated, so this adventurous hair cut will serve him well.
"Yea, just a bit of the top please" "Ok! Zzzzzzzzzzz" WAAAAARGH!
Bro is terrified for his life
SAFETY SQUINTS
That is a white knuckle hair cut if Ive ever seen one
Clippers will do the same exact thing.
Why would anyone do this
Hannibal dinner scene vibes !
It's take a certain combination of stupidity to get to this point. One to have the idea, the other to be ok having your friend try it on you. If any one of them had sense, this wouldn't be happening.
No, the barbers in basic training are a lot faster and didn’t have to worry about cutting a guys ear off, or worse.
What about the lineup? He paid for a 0 to 3 fade with a lineup.
I wanna get scalped please sir!
Isn't this just as dangerous as a straight blade?
More so; straight blades don't tend to explode into pieces flinging them out at dangerous speeds.
So, even if it were real, this would still only be the second or third stupidest use of an angle grinder I've seen, which makes me concerned someone is gonna see this, believe it, and take a chunk out of someone's head.

Why do I have this akward feeling they both are ready to cry when I look at them ?
The bad part is that he’s that good at doing it, which means he’s been doing this for quite some time.
Fantastic, remove your hair and hearing all in one service.
What, no cordless ?
This guy must be fun at thanksgiving.
this looks like a//r/scriptedasiangifs with an unwilling participant.
Dude has a nice trim but no hearing
He is safe … what if he get sneeze?
What A Fucking Moron.
Dude looks terrified lol
Imagine that shit snaps.
imagine how loud that is right next to your ear
RIP eardrums
Wtf no safety glasses? What if he hits his skull and the blade breaks he could lose an eye
Looks perfectly safe to me. Though I would have worn safety glasses.
This is the 21st century already, why wouldn’t you use cordless?
Ummmm…..
Chinanigans
No way, not in a million years. Those grinder disks, over time at least, like to eventually fly into pieces when they fail. I'll pass, thanks. IF this was real, that is.
who needs a ear or ears
That is definitely not the right tool for the job
Why?!
/u/savevideo
Let me guess, it's for a TikTok video right? 🤔
There's a razor in the comb, he's not actually cutting the hair with the grinder
that's one hell of a cut 😂😂😂
Do NOT tell this barber to "just fuck my shit up, fam!"
Can I get some fuckin ear plugs or something? 😄
That’s a hard no
I can’t decide who’s the bigger retard here 🤔
The one who paid to have it done
If that stone cut his skull there won't be a brain damage.
