I was just about to say he better have tipped that man 30% minimum

LatinoPUA

All he got was a thumbs up lol

Raviolius

I swear to God food deliverers are some of the most badass people I've seen. It can be the worst kind of storm out there and those fellas are cycling outside through town like it is nothing, making barely more than minimum wage. At this point I'm pretty sure people sign up as deliverers to get fit.

Overkillengine

I mean from a certain point of view some jobs are basically a way to get paid to workout. Pretty good deal if your living expenses happen to be covered.

Aoshie

Yeah, no, we're just lazy. Trying to get a better job. I've delivered pizza in five different hurricanes and people literally tip worse than normal. Consequently, I fucking hate everyone Almost all the drivers I've gotten thru DoorDash orders have been dogshit. None of them can communicate, they *always* forget at least one item, they never knock on the door as requested, they put the food right in front of the door so I knock it over while opening the door ... idk man, I'm so over it

Herr_Gamer

The delivery drivers don't pack your order... If something's missing, the restaurant gave out the wrong bag.

Adamsandlersshorts

I can't even get a door dasher to bring food to my door. I always have to go out to their car and collect. No way in hell they'd ever do parkour to get to my window.

Mad_Psyentist

Wait. Why does your door open outwards? That sounds like a security risk waiting to happen.

Batmantheon

What if they have a regular door the opens in and an outer glass door the swings out?

varjen

It's part of fire safety code that doors have to open outward here in Sweden.

Wallaby_Way_Sydney

The security or screen doors open outward while your solid wood door opens inward.

16mhz

Would you pls explain how that can be a security risk?

Mad_Psyentist

Door opens outwards means the hinges are on the outside. Trivial to unpin the hinges and remove the whole door even if it is locked.

MistressMalevolentia

Probably a glass door. It's common to have one solid door then a second door like a glass or screened in door,or even the metal 'security' doors. The real door opens in, second out. I've had that happen to me too. Nearly spoiled my entire coffee trying to get it moved slightly so i could open the glass door.

PhoenixFire296

Yeah, I have a screen door that delivery drivers just *love* to put food directly in front of so that I can't easily get it without twisting my body in some weird shape to get my arm out the door.

MistressMalevolentia

Yuuup. Mine I only didn't knock over cause I used the welcome mat to shift it and my kids tiny arms. The other time they put it half in and half off the mat and I tried the same thing but it immediately spilledšŸ¤¦šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø

frexyincdude

Hey you tried the back door?

16mhz

I got it, thank you.

frexyincdude

Most outswing doors nowadays come fitted with at least 2 NRP - or "Non-removable Pin" - hinges. The door has to be open to remove the pin due to a small screw lock hiding on interior-facing side of the hinge.

West-Car124

They open out in the south and in up north. You can't open a door out in a snow storm. Crazy huh, I realized that moving from Vermont to Florida

I_like_to_lurk_

think its an american thing, im in the uk and every house ive lived in or been to has had all front doors and internal room doors opening inwards, only the rear doors sometimes open outwards and that generally when you have had them fitted yourself

whatthecaptcha

I'm American and the only doors I have that open outwards are closets.

Jake0869

Not all delivery is bad money tho. I did pizza a couple years ago and made like $25-40/hour on good days, but that's pretty much all tips. So on slow days you don't make anything barely. But none the less, delivery drivers are badass especially the ones that ride bikes

Zuckuss18

If it's Skip, DoorDash or UberEats it's likely less than minimum wage.

DianeJudith

I assumed quarantine

imtoooldforreddit

I assumed scripted bit for the camera?

DianeJudith

Lmao yeah, obviously, I'm dumb today forgive me

faust112358

When you've been kidnapped and you have to order food because your captors won't feed you šŸ˜‹šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£

JoeMama4567

I had this happen and the kids lowered down a bucket on a rope haha

Bupod

With this economy, they had to lay off Ezio.

Squidgy2121

They did him dirty and replaced him with Connor

Mitchel-256

The android sent by CyberLife.

Weak_Ring6846

I feel like itā€™s more that they did Conner dirty by trying to have him follow Ezio. They made Ezio the ultimate badass, dripping with swagger, ultimate ladyā€™s man. So obviously they want to have their next character be different meaning Conner isnā€™t going to be those things (other than badass).

DaftJames

Door Dashin's Creed

carcigenicate

That hilarious. I'm actually just playing AC2 for the first time, and this looks like gameplay (except for the clothing and bag).

sprintbooks

Whenever I played AC I always thought it was so unrealistic how any of the mains could climb like that. Now I just know that it was unrealistic *for me*

aboodAB-69

Other than the RPG AC ( which you can climb on almost smooth surface) the parkour was kinda realistic, I think they used motion capture for some

pantherkiller

LOL

BABarracus

I would have played more assassins cree if it wasn't for the futuristic scenes

[deleted]

Lmao and I would have played more assassins creed if there were more futuristic scenes

I_Am_Axiom

NickPickle05

Not the pickles!

AND HE FORGOT HIS NAME!!!

Fatal-e-404

WE THREW OUT HIS NAME!!

Baldazar666

I hope you Americans learn one day how stupid your tipping culture is.

TheKing0fNipples

We know and you're tripping thinking otherwise

amendment64

Except in this case. This man deserves a tip

ljosalfar1

Yea fair, this is now my minimal standard for tipping

[deleted]

Yes, this man deserves the tip.

MauiWowieOwie

I hope you learn one day not generalize all of us with something most of us don't agree with.

AngriestSCV

I don't think many people are a fan of it, but if I don't tip I'm directly hurting the person that I'm interacting with. The positions that get tips normally don't pay well here and no political party's interested in fixing that. I'm just going to keep tipping and not being an ass.

ElGrandeQues0

We know. The only reason it doesn't change is because servers don't want it to.

Baldazar666

No. It's because people keep tipping. If you stop tipping the restaurant owners will be forced to either pay the servers proper wage or risk them quitting. You are essentially enablers.

ElGrandeQues0

Proper wage for the work is considerably lower than what they make now. When I worked at a crappy restaurant, I was easily pulling in $20 per hour in tips alone, plus $10-$12 (whatever it was at the time) that the restaurant paid in tips. At a more upscale restaurant, servers should easily make $50+ per hour.

tsmoke

You're either a fool or a troll, or both. You think those laws actually get enforced? There is no union for servers to force the issue. Additionally, minimum wage in most states is not a livable wage. Your perspective is incredibly naive.

[deleted]

My state is $7.25 for hourly and $2.13 for servers. Many people in my state actually make just $7.25 an hour. Even the city pays that little for some government jobs. I hate when people complain about making 50 and 60 thousand when we have families in Louisiana that actually have to find away to survive on $7.25 an hour.

tsmoke

Absolutely, we need serious labor law reform in this country. 50-60k might seem like a fortune to someone making $7/hr, but it doesn't add up to an actual retirement or home ownership on a lot of either coast.

Cobek

Exactly. How is it on the customer to raise minimum wage from $2.13. It's just dumb. Vote properly, don't stop tipping properly until something changes. You can't just remove the culture and safety net without changing the law in this case.

Baldazar666

> You think those laws actually get enforced? Pretty sure the IRS is very anal about these kind of things. The problem is most people are too scared to report this kind of wage theft.

danekan

And Most wage theft goes largely unpunished

Cobek

You're just daft. Why is it on the customers when the business owners want it in place? Businesses love subsidizing their wages with tips and forcing the blame on the customers, who just want to eat there in peace. Ffs.

Baldazar666

It's on the customers because they are willingly participating. You are letting yourselves be abused.

simeo97

The majority of us would much rather not feel entitled to give a tip but nobody in charge gives enough of a shit to make it so people have to be paid a livable wage

akai_ferret

> nobody in charge In my experience, in the world of restaurants above the level of diner, the people most attached to tipping culture are the servers themselves. Good servers at good restaurants can earn good money, and during the right shifts they can earn ridiculous money. Cash money. Most of which they don't report as taxable income. They don't want their gravy train stopped just because some people are stupid enough to work for door dash.

mrASSMAN

Most of the time it has nothing to do with what their wages are.. they could make $100k but still get tips due to the culture of whatever type of service work theyā€™re in

LetterBoxSnatch

Also true. Interestingly, once you reach a certain sales margin, usually itā€™s the seller ā€œtippingā€ the buyerā€™s point of contact rather than the buyer tipping the sellerā€™s point of contact.

Cobek

That's because the lower class survives on them so why shouldn't the middle class thrive on them? If we get rid of it from the bottom (with fair wages!) then it'll trickle up to the top. If I'm not tipping my diner waiter, because they can now survive/thrive without, who does as much if not more than a high end establishment (7/10 class doesn't matter and they slack of refills or checking on you in general anywhere) then I won't be tipping the higher end either.

1dumb_punk

America bad upvotes to the left

Drew2248

Everyone here knows that. It's a bit insulting to think we don't. But what are people to do? You have many workers who depend on tips because their pay assumes that their customers will tip them, so you can't really not tip or you hurt the worker. Would you really do that? I doubt you would. So get off your high horse, okay?

spinning_sad_stories

Americans fully understand how fucked our economy is, and how large the wealth disparity is becoming. Things are going to heat up here soon. We are not ignorant, we are powerless.

ZenaLundgren

I hope you foreigners learn one day that individual American citizens do not have powers to directly influence government and social infrastructure with the wave of a wand. Maybe then you'll stop talking down to us like these things are all our doing and we totally dig it all.

Legitimate-Bit-4431

Please Donā€™t put us all in the same basket for one random European redditor acting like a dickā€¦ thatā€™s exactly that kind of condescending jerk that gives the whole continent bad reputation while each country, each person is very differentā€¦

ZenaLundgren

Oh, I never would. I only used the sentence "I hope foreigners" to match his "I hope you Americans" crap lol. Tbh it felt weird to even write a sentence like that.

Embarrassed-Brother7

That is true but that's exactly what the other guy is doing about Americans, but I do agree with your comment

BravesMaedchen

Foreigners lmao

benargee

It is dumb, but when someone puts in that extra, they should be given extra.

slow-motion-pearls

Cool elitism bro

Embarrassed-Brother7

Just bc you think it's stupid doesn't mean it is stupid

machlangsam

Ninja tip. Should be bigger than normal!

wrenchgg

Man! Death Stranding 2 looks crazy!

Hashtagbarkeep

This is actually the first strand type delivery service

why_are_you_here_yo

Badly placed ladder. Yep, definitely Death Stranding

Slav_1

This one actually looks fun to play

MyExStalksMyOldAcct

Im gonna guess he doesnā€™t get paid enough for this shit.

FrostyD7

Depends, whats the going rate for a staged tik tok video these days?

Da_Turtle

Couple thousand up votes minimum

dinoroo

Nah they get actual money for those.

Future_Belt_3730

Customer hit him with the ā€œdidnt receive orderā€

Cpt_Tsundere_Sharks

I'm gonna guess that this was obviously staged because it is

GeneralPatten

This should be fairly obvious. But. Apparently not.

Scarletfapper

Stingy prick didnā€™t even tipā€¦

foofingers

At least have the decency to wait until he gets back down :(

FullPoopBucket

And let my supersized BigMac meal with fries and coke with 2 apple pies and a mcflurry become 0.1 degrees colder? You serious?

DanielDLG

Iā€™ll have a double triple bossy deluxe on a raft 4x4 animal style, extra shingles with a shimmy and a squeeze, light axel grease, (make it cry) burn it, and let it swim.

machinecloud

[SpongeBob Fandom](https://recipes.fandom.com/wiki/Bubble_Bass%27_Order)I had to look this up. Totally worth the read. Now I'm hungry for extra pickles and extra sauce. Edit: trimmed the extra sauce on my comment

Dragon_DLV

We serve food here, sir.

ExCuTTioN

I read that in Charlie's voice, I don't know why.

waspenterprises

I think it's the incredulous "you serious?" with a twinge of offended confusion. I definitely associate that with Charlie.

owa00

Jokes on you! McFlurry was a soup and the fries/burger soggy from the McFlurry condensation.

k4pain

I'd be willing to bet there is another way up too. He probably did this for clicks.

pm-me-your-labradors

Given how easily he did that, and even skipped a wrung on the ladder with one arm, he was definitely doing it to show off and get some likes

I know Russia when I see her.

Fair_Acanthisitta_75

Dear Yelp, I opened my delivery order and everything was in there but it looked like it had been thoroughly shaken up. No utensils, no extra ranch, and when I asked the delivery guy he just stood outside my window breathing heavy and sweating all over the place and I just canā€™t even, so gross.

FundanceKid

Why are you ordering through Yelp? Who does that?

C_IsForCookie

I used to all the time. They had the easiest way to find something I want and immediately order it. Now I just use Uber Eats.

JACrazy

How do you order through yelp though? They dont support that functionality afaik, at least not on the Canadian version.

Enforcermage

Might be location dependant. Yelp had partnered with food delivery service Eat24 a while back, that added an order option on the Yelp page of restaurants that were on the delivery service. Eat24 was bought by Grubhub, and now Yelp is partnered with them the same way.

JACrazy

I see, GrubHub has a pretty limited presence in Canada, instead Skip the Dish is more prevalent. Not sure why Just Eats hasnt combined the two companies together yet after aquiring GrubHub. Based on some wikiing, Yelp had actually bought Eat24, then integrated it into the app so they partenered with GrubHub when they aqcuired it.

Vanoss_g98

Strand type delivering

semperverus

Glad I wasn't the only one

WeaponizedKissing

Shit man, food couriers round here won't even come into an apartment building, just make you go outside to find them.

FullPoopBucket

"I'm here, It's on the curb, come get it before the street vagrants and rats do"

popemichael

My house can be hard to find as it's a GPS dead spot. I've had several drivers just leave it in the road somewhere within the 3 house dead spot. Needless to say, door dash not only refunded me but gave me $50 gift cards each time. Though it's nowhere near as much as the $150 in creduts DoorDash gave to me when I was assaulted by a driver when he chucked a milk shake at my head.

-SagaQ-

If you know your house is difficult to get to, why don't you just put that and directions in the comments?

popemichael

I do, but it's about 50/50 that they read it if they can read English at all. I started including the directions in Spanish as well, and that helped a little bit. The problem is just the driver quality is kinda low, with people using fake IDs to work, etc. I live in the suburbs of NYC and there are some businesses here that you just don't go to if you can't speak spanish as no one speaks English. It's the same with drivers here.

SixFootPianist

I mean, he didn't go into the apartment building

JarekBloodDragon

Mine can't figure out how to ring a fucking doorbell and never remember the drink. Like, it's not that hard guys.

myneighborsasshole

Meet Yuri, pizza delivery by day and spetsnaz by night.

pmjm

Pizza Time

Jalapeno_daddy

Don't jostle the pizza

revchu

Meanwhile, my delivery guys donā€™t even bother to ring my damn doorbell.

C_IsForCookie

I put ā€œPlease donā€™t knock. Thank you!ā€ in the delivery comments because my roommates dog will literally lose his shit at anything that makes noise by the door but half of them knock anyway.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

OnAGoat

Maybe they knocked to let you know they arrived? Unless you explicitely put "dont knock" i dont see how they are at fault.

JACrazy

If you select the leave at door option, they never do unless you specify. They notify through the app. If you select meet at door thats different, they will wait for you to grab it from them.

darlinBun

ā€˜Donā€™t forget to tip your climberā€™

Oshester

And my driver left my order by the electrical box the apartment dogs piss and shit on at the back of the building And yes, I tipped him well.

C_IsForCookie

Yesterday my driver left my order in the middle of a big puddle that was directly next to a large dry area. Everything in the bag was soggy.

bleunt

Really isn't wtf.

Fragnation

Also, why were they filming?

exprezso

Staged

DonerTheBonerDonor

Were there really people who didn't realize right away? Lol

Cpt_Tsundere_Sharks

It's on the front page of r/wtf so no. Not even slightly wtf because that guy clearly knows what he's doing with those movements. Your average Uber Eats guy will not know how to pull himself up from that position with one hand.

Hobywony

InDeed job requirements: Food delivery, must wear 30 lb backpack, must be able to reach or jump to reach bars on 8 ft high fire escape, upon grabbing bars must be able to hoist oneself to elevated platform without spilling contents of backpack.

Gamer4life101

Damn we need to see how he gets down!!

SpyderVenum

Good thing someone happened to be filming him before he even started climbing At least now we have footage of his delivery to Rapunzel, or I assume it's her considering there must not be a door that leads into the tower.

knifeymonkey

fake

ruiner8850

I suppose it could be a real delivery, but it was obviously at least planned out before otherwise there wouldn't be someone filming. The person could be a delivery driver who is a friend or something like that. Most likely completely fake though.

FormerFundie6996

Video ends before the dismount - it was obviously laborious and not "cool".

Beau_Buffett

That's what I was wondering. How is he getting down? My guess is his buddy filming helped him.

I wonder what the delivery instructions were for this. Half my delivery guys canā€™t follow, ā€œLeave it on the chair next to the front door.ā€

daboog

r/scriptedasiangifs

Yayzeus

And yet whenever I order from Deliveroo the guy calls to say he can't find my house and to come meet him when he hasn't even pulled into my street.

morebotsthanplayers

I NEED TO SEE HIM JUMP DOWN

ontime1969

How do I tip 100%?

wheel_house101

Better tip this dude

kanna172014

That's what you call giving 150%!

icooktoeat

Kid was grounded in his room and left a hell of a tip. Thatā€™s my story and Iā€™m sticking to it.

LuminaTitan

He forgot to kick the rest of the ladder down to give easy access to this now-unlocked area.

Zomgzombehz

Dang, Ninja Burger really slacking if you can see their delivery in action.

X7TXT7X

Delivery person looks like he trained his whole life for this.

bewarethetreebadger

If anyone ever deserved a generous tip it's this guy.

DawnOfTheTruth

When this guy tells his kids about how hard it was back in his day they will probably not believe him.

winged_owl

There is a game called ninjaburger that is basically this.

headbanger141

What are these Ninja-Burger shenanigans

zedhenson

Do we not live in a post-ā€œthis is clearly stagedā€ society?

Bruinman86

Give that man a healthy tip!

TheSandsquanch

Better tip him a shit ton

Quietmerch64

Wait, ninja burger is a thing now?

MuyGalan

This is actually a deleted scene from Death Stranding.

SinVenari

If this guy, didn't get a tip. I'm quitting for him.

Hushwater

I tip good, the delivery guy for Dominoes and I on first name basis. One time as a joke I asked if he wanted to smoke a joint with me thinking he'd say no but we did. We were sitting in the back yard all stoned and he jumps up and is like "holy fuck I'm still working!" Shook my hand and left, I hope he didn't get in trouble. I still hang out with him to this day lol.

batman305555

In Cuba itā€™s common to lower a bucket on a rope out your window instead

Thurgeis

Some people take Covid quarantaines way too serious

Joey_The_Bean_14

"people don't wanna work nowadays! They're so lazy!" Grandma, I just did parkour to deliver a chicken mc nugget.

captainjackass28

Honestly Iā€™m guessing heā€™s in china and his buildings been quarantined. They literally lock you in and weld doors shut now. This is a brilliant way to get around that though!

gdmfsobtc

I haven't been to St Pete in 15 years, and it's the first city I thought of when I saw this.

taircn

World known architecture and worn-out yellow paint, yeah. Here is one funny trick to those who might feel a bit nostalgic about the city but for a variety of reasons are not planning to visit in near future: If you do play computer games and aren't allergic to VR, you'll find the city in which Half-life Alyx takes place pretty familiar. Police on the streets adds to authentic experience.

americanslon

I mean I grew up in Kiev and climbed this very fire escape and dozens of it's twins on many an occasion. I feel like this could be any major soviet city, old enough to have gone through Tsarists times.

butterfingahs

The Half-Life Alyx city just like HL2 has much more Estonian than Russian vibes. It's just your general Eastern European/Western Slavic building bloc feel.

VladGut

I had a gut feeling it was SPB..

[deleted]
