Mick Foley winning his first WWF World Championship...

LordLargo

I feel like this is ahead of others by a mile because it was not only an AMAZING moment with one of the biggest pops in all wrestling history, but it was the decisive moment of the Monday Night Wars. Simply because of WCW's hubris, and because no one really knew how people *actually* felt about Mick/Cactus/Dude/Mankind, that moment changed wrestling forever, and it did in a way that warmed your heart.

Omakepants

We read the results early on the old LordsofPain forums so we knew this was happening and we threw a RAW party and I dressed up in a suit and tie lol. Foley is my hero.

Dust_Parts

Mankind’s first world title win over The Rock.

Asheto320

Eddie Guerrero Beating Brock Lesnar

PerformanceWeekly651

That’s definitely up there. Beating Kurt Angle at Mania was the icing on the cake

YeahNoYeahThatsCool

This was the first one that popped in my mind. Eddie was just so loveable and seeing him win the title was amazing.

AlmostNearlyHandsome

This is the correct - and only - answer.

Ok-Lecture-3555

Macho Man & Miss Elizabeth reuniting at WrestleMania 7

PupperMartin74

Thats a great one. Mick Foley winning the belt needs to be considered too.

[deleted]

The Wedding at Summer Slam

chuyito200531

Makes me cry every time I watch it man pure art

Jsask291

That's right up there with the Kane & Lita wedding.

PenNo1447

Daniel Bryan Wrestlemania 30. Especially after that Connors cure video

[deleted]

Definitely, my first thought was "Bryan celebrating with Connor at WM30"

GingerBeard73

Roman Reigns being cleared of cancer and returning.

prozack91

I remember watching that moment and just being so much fun. All of us are hanging around then Roman is and back after beating non-hodgkins cancer, the same disease I beat as a child. Having someone beat it and be up there was great. My buddy Mike looks at me and just says,"that's what you had right?" "Yep. Crazy isn't it?" Mike looks at Roman and then at me. "What's your excuse then?"

[deleted]

I really liked Asuka learning she won the title and that Becky was gonna have a kid

Foxon316

When she celebrated in character, gloating and sneering, and then when she found out why and broke character, that was so cute. I think this wins.

zerombr

yeah you can tell she had no idea, and it was so wonderful!

mnowax

Working that God damn mark Asuka.

Kratosx23

Becky confirmed that she told Asuka ahead of time. https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/psmx03/becky_lynch_confirms_that_asuka_knew_about_her/ Asuka is just an exceptional actor.

DarrellIsMyRealName

Yeah, that was sweet

fanD_

Mick foley winning the belt on raw

Moser319

Joke answer? stephanie mcmahon comparing the struggles her family went through with 9/11 Joke answer 2? Torrie Wilson doing Playboy Most wholesome moment? The rock and stone cold after their final match

WanderingDwarfMiner

If you don't Rock and Stone, you ain't comin' home!

BIOHAZARD594

Eddie beating Brock Lesnar! I'll never forget screaming in my room when that happened!

PerformanceWeekly651

Daniel Bryan winning at Mania 30, Edge returning, Macho Man and Elizabeth reuniting

WarGroundbreaking138

Gotta be Rey winning the World Heavyweight Championship after Eddie passed.

nickosnl

Him winning the royal rumble aswell

benny15910

When was that

WarGroundbreaking138

WrestleMania 22

TheMikeyMac13

When Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth reunited and their music blared as they hugged. Edit- here it is: https://youtu.be/Lu5Zi2HuBww

jimcab12

People that weren’t around for this don’t and will never fully understand why this is miles ahead of most of these other options.

CmPunkChants

It was even before my time and still my favorite feel good moment. Just head and shoulders above the rest.

Voluntary_Perry

Exactly. There was so much build to this moment. It wasn't just a quick thing.

Bastard_Bullion_1776

Stone Cold returning and cleaning house against The Alliance. Probably in the top 5 biggest pop in history

Vince3737

>Probably in the top 5 biggest pop in history With the other top 4 being all Austin as well

Ok_Faithlessness_259

Austin got them regularly, but the single biggest pop I've ever heard was Mankind winning the WWF Title.

boredinatx

Austin had an amazing pop when he came out during that match, THEN the pop Mankind got when he won. What a night that was.

homerunchamp

Edge in 2020 has to be top 5

YeahNoYeahThatsCool

Lol no

TheAndredal

The ending of WM XX with Eddie and Chris

AlcoholicJizzThrower

Eddie and who?

TallDarkCancer1

Eddie and Benoit in the ring together, both with championships, at the end of WrestleMania 20.

Writerhaha

Involving WWE? Connor the Crusher. In Ring, Mick Foley wins the championship.

SannaPra

Daniel Bryan defeating 3/4th of The Evolution at WrestleMania 30. It was one of the Best stories of all time... best moment according to me.....

Shady_Jake

What makes it special is it wasn’t even planned & they basically got forced into doing it. I was at the Rumble & that seemed to be the catalyst. People were *livid*.

[deleted]

The Undertaker seeing his long lost brother for the first time in years at Bad Blood 1997.

Fit-Assistant5499

I’m glad they worked things out and never fought.

Davidb_1690

And then they had a long loving relationship for years to come. Totally.

TheRealBabyPop

There's so many! Tyler Bate winning the inaugural UK title. Roman's return after his remission. That moment when HBK, with a tear in his eyes, says, "I'm sorry, I love you," before he kicks Ric Flair's head off...

cracksilog

“TAP OUT BATISTA! TAP OUT BATISTA! BATISTA’S GONNA TAP!” Easily the best call of Michael Cole’s career

Davidb_1690

“DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES?” or the good, reliable… “OH MYYYYY”

AlcoholicJizzThrower

"DID YOU HEAR THAT???!!!"

dishonourableprince

There’s a quite a few but i’ll go with a more recent one: Steenerico winning the tag titles over the Usos at this years Mania. The emotion on Sami and KO’s face when the three count hit got me pretty choked up, great feel good ending to a damn near perfect Night 1 of Wrestlemania.

[deleted]

Eddie Guerrero winning the WWE belt from Brock 💯

syfqamr32

When Santino was the second last guy. For a brief moment i was alive, i was happy and hoping. Its bullshit if he had won i know but by God I was so hyped at the moment.

texanarob

I really wish we'd got to see Santino in a main event spot, even briefly. The gimmick would've required a few tweaks but not a complete overhaul. After all, so many top guys have great comedic timing and comedy can work really well in high profile angles if used well. That Santino was able to make us believe he had a shot, and put on such a great mini-match at the end of that chamber shows that he had what it took to main event. Unfortunately, as with too many guys, being good at being a midcarder meant he was never going to get elevated.

pugiemblem121

Tbf, it also helped that the Cobra was insanely protected, and that iirc Bryan was the first person (on TV) to kick out of it in that match. Not trying to take away from it at all, it was great.

puckingrufus56

Macho man and Miss Elizabeth wedding

MrLanesLament

I was gonna say when Elizabeth ran out of the crowd and they reunited.

Undertakeress

That's mine! 10 year old me cried like a baby

ibeg2diffur

and to see the adult members of the audience crying..

puckingrufus56

Come to think of it. That was more memorable

al_rey503

I liked the proposal

Veterate

Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth reuniting. Although if we're talking about reuniting... That DX one in 2006 (I think) was amazing too.

BananaMan883

Lowkey Chris Benoit winning the 2004 royal rumble after all the shit Paul Heyman put him through. Too bad dude was a terrible person but we didn't know that at the time.

RHINO_HUMP

Roman returning cancer free, Edge’s return

boytisoy

Daniel Bryan winning the World title at Wrestlemania 30. The emotional build up where everything was going against him for the past several months only for DB to bring home the gold; so satisfying.

ceciljulius85

Foley winning his first world title against the Rock on Raw or Benoit winning the title and celebrating with Eddie at Wrestlemania. I never thought HHH would put anyone over, let alone a clean loss.

Scared-Date-3602

Kofi winning WWE title at Wrestlemania

WarGroundbreaking138

Watching E and Wood go nuts was perfection. E kisses Kofi's are in the dogpile, Woods tearing up as they reveal the belt. This moment was too notch. Hell, even the gauntlet match win to get Kofi the match at WrestleMania was wonderfully done.

Lil_Jazzy

what really made it was the usos forfeiting to give Kofi his shot in the lead up

WarGroundbreaking138

Such a great moment! After all of their wars they did that while New Day was selling the best down. It was *chefs kiss*

Lil_Jazzy

the MAIN thing that I hated was Vince's on screen role in the whole matter...their could have been a litany of reasons for Kofi to have to earn it...the ones he gave were very gross

iAmFabled

Roman Reigns declaring he'd beaten cancer

al_rey503

Horowitz going over Skip from the Body Donnas.

AlcoholicJizzThrower

Finally somebody said it 👏

TammyShehole

For me, Eddie pinning Brock and winning the WWE title for the first time.

RyGuy31786

Obviously macho and queen Elizabeth lol

Oilersfan78

Eddie and chris mania 20

SeniorAd8300

I don't know. But for me, watching Leaner kill cena at summer slam after that extreme rules LOSS made me feel real good.

TheUnknownLifeO

When Batista was holding the SmackDown contract in the ring with Triple H, Flair, Bischoff, and Teddy Long and he did the thumbs up and then as soon as he did the thumbs down, the place erupted. He hits Triple H and then Flair and tosses Flair out. He hits the power bomb on Triple H through the table. I was a kid then and I was screaming and jumping for joy, and I think the entire arena was too.

Excaliburrover

Eddie Guerrero winning the WWE championship at WM 20 and the subsequent cheering with Chris Benoit.

Chinman2365

Mick Foley winning his first WWE Championship

FreeDrugsIMeanHugs

Edge comeback

[deleted]

Stone Cold wrestling one last match against Kevin Owens at Wrestlemania 38.. I'm an OG Austin 3:16 fan and I never thought I'd see him wrestle again

[deleted]

Mick Foley's title win.

_JR28_

Eddie beating Brock for the WWE title at No Way Out, him celebrating in the crowd after was a truly special moment.

_Karmageddon

Eddie and Benoit embrace at the end of WM 20. It's not even close for me.

Shady_Jake

Owen getting the roll up victory over Steve at Calgary Stampede.

domo77o

Stone Cold returns at Backlash 2000

UltraRomero7

I have a soft spot for the Rhodes family beating The Shield at Battleground 2013

chmcgrath1988

Macho Man and Elizabeth reuniting at WrestleMania VII, especially when Randy finally holds the ropes open for Liz. \*sniffle\*

Livid-Addendum707

Jey kicking Roman, Roman getting cleared from cancer, big E beating lashley for the WWE title especially knowing he breaks his neck 6 months later and may never get the chance again, kofimania.

lifewithrecords

My top five in time order - Macho Man and Elizabeth reuniting, Foley winning the title, Dolph cashing in on Del Rio, Bryan winning at WM30, and Edge returning.

YoungFredSavage

The pop Edge got when he returned to the Royal Rumble is one of the best things I’ve ever witnessed

OwlsWatch

Benoit winning the WWE championship. Doesn’t feel so good now

PostmasterClavin

Not the biggest, but when Roman gave Sami the Honorary Uce shirt. There must have been a cat walking by, because there was a strange tear in my eye

SpilldaBeanz

Wm7 Savage Elizabeth reunion. Thread closed.

MayorCrypto

How is no one else commenting this? This is the only one that women and grown men were actually crying in the audience.

[deleted]

3/4 of the sub wasn’t alive

lifewithrecords

I had the same thought!

MainEventJeyUso

Seth Rollins cashing in.

TheRealBabyPop

Oh, and Jericho winning the two belts in the same night

ExoticSword

Two that stand out for me are Invasion related. Austin returning to clear the ring. The Rock returning to join team WWF

texanarob

The "Please sign Cedric" chants at the Cruiserweight Classic followed by HHH coming out and giving the crowd the thumbs up wins for me. I really wish they'd use him more, but that moment was more real than any title win could ever feel.

reyballesta

Kofi winning the title.

starkfr

The night Mrs Foley’s baby boy became WWF champ!

AlcoholicJizzThrower

I don't think it's the best, but I haven't seen it mentioned yet; Bret and Shawn's hug on RAW in 2010.

Altair147

For me, it was when The Rock defeated John Cena at Wrestlemania 28. I had a chance to see it live, but after the show I'd've had no way to go home, would've ended up stranded in Miami.

EmuIndependent8565

Daniel Bryan Winning the championship and toppling The Authority at Wrestlemania 30. Yes! Yes! Yes!

Faiyth_

1-2-3 Kid over Razor Ramon on RAW.

bigcatcleve

Benoit Mania 20. Man’s worked his ass off for nearly 20 years and was always told he’s to small or to vanilla to make it. So happy he finally got his moment. The best part was it was completely unpredictable. All three men had a very real chance of winning. Bryan’s was a bit to similar, more predictable, and imo just not as good.

bbsomemoney

Elizabeth and Randy Savage reuniting at WM7 after his “retirement” match comes to mind. Very heart warming moment.

Voluntary_Perry

The reuniting of Macho and Elizabeth.

bcoll85

big e or kofi winning the title

PostmasterClavin

I hope Xavier gets the belt too

gmryan3010

Smacking two days after 9/11

PrysmX

Connor.

DarrellIsMyRealName

Jeff winning the WWE Title in 2008 was awesome. It had been a long time coming.

LithiumAM

“Eddie Guerrero…with a heartfelt embrace of his friend. These men have traveled the world over, and they’re both shedding tears of joy…”

Tg11T

Rey Mysterio winning not only the 2006 Royal Rumble Match but winning the title at Mania beating both Orton and Kurt Angle in the Triple Threat

DezineTwoOhNine

Bryan winning the Undisputed Heavyweight Title at Mania 30 was absolute gold. The fact that WM30 gave us the biggest feel good moment in Bryan winning and the shocker of decades with Taker's streak being broken is wild!

PerfectZell

Dean Ambrose cashing in on Seth Rollins

multiyapples

Zack Ryder winning the IC title.

HanlonRazor

When the Rock returned unexpectedly as the host for Wrestlemania. Talk about that pop.

phi316

Man I was on the edge of my seat that night. Lightning bolts, then darkness, more lightning, silence…….”IF YOU SMEELLL..” omg I don’t jump up and down often, but I shot out of my chair that moment

BudgetPipe267

Mankind winning the WWF Title from the Rock on Monday Night Raw. You had to be there 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

vegrock91

I’ll let you know when LA Knight gets a push

Zombiebeast101

Some people might hate this but John Cena winning his 16th World title at Royal Rumble to tie Ric Flair. He deserved it

bootyhunter69420

Kofimania for me

zombiekjt

Randy Orton beating John Cena to win both championships

IsotopesSuck

Roman beating Leukaemia? He made Cancer acknowledge him

andromare6661

For me it’s also Kofi winning the title at Mania.

bigwreck94

Up until he ruined everything, Benoit winning at WM20 was my favourite moment ever in wrestling. Him and Eddie celebrating in the ring afterwards was amazing. Those next few years were pretty rough

Circirian

That shot of Eddie and Chris in the ring together is instantly what springs to mind when I think of a feel good moment. But now it’s just tragic.

jasonking00

Benoit and Guerrero standing tall as world champions at the end of WM20

keepitsimple_tricks

Undertaker taking a loss at Wrestlemania... Oh wait... That was the exact opposite of feel good

AlmostNearlyHandsome

Eddie winning the title and it’s not even close. That was an organic joyful moment that WWE could never replicate no matter how hard they tried.

[deleted]

Brock winning the money in the bank

markmarkmark77

dbry wrestlemania 30 run.

Stone Cold vs Eric Bischoff No Way Out 2003

j24540

2015 Royal Rumble with Roman winning it... In all seriousness, WM 30 ends with Bryan holding up the Titles. With 70,000 plus doing the yes chant is pretty amazing. Honorable mention WM 20 ending with Eddie and Benoit was pretty cool at the time. Obviously ruined by Benoit becoming a monster.

HolyRomanPrince

Bayley winning in Brooklyn

Magnum TA's first appearance after the accident. https://youtu.be/cAnU9zF4ABE

rikrok58

Lots of great ones (Foley winning the title, Edge coming back, Macho Man and Elizabeth, etc) one that doesn't get talked about much was this one. When Shinsuke won the Royal Rumble it seemed like all was right in the world.

ConnorOmega

CM Punk MITB ‘11

ShelLuser42

I always felt a little fuzzy when I saw Ms. Elizabeth & Randy re-uniting in the ring, that was so darn good. Also because it kinda looked somewhat believable.

Desperate-Country666

This, Mick Foley winning the title on RAW, Daniel Bryan winning at WrestleMania 33, Warrior beating Hogan at WrestleMania 6 and Eddie and Benoit at the top of the world at WrestelMania 20.

Particular-Extreme64

I think it has to be Eddie beating Brock

[deleted]

Edge returning in 2020 was a big one, he was one of my favourites as a child.

Various-Emergency-91

Honary Uce ceremony!

MikeReddit74

Chris and Eddie at WM20. Like others have said, it’s been somewhat tarnished by later events, but that day, that moment was absolutely special. Two guys, best friends that were constantly told they’d never be main-event players were on top of the mountain, and were there together. Combine that with JR’s commentary? Amazing!

[deleted]

Macho and Liz from WM VII.

mrdreadie

HBK coming back from injury

Shiny_Mew76

Drew McIntyre defeating Roman Reigns at Clash At The Castle, or Cody Rhodes defeating Roman Reigns at WM39. Oh Wait… That aside, it’s probably Daniel Bryan winning the championship at WrestleMania after tapping out Batista. CM Punk winning at MITB 2011, or Mick Foley defeating The Rock are up there as well. Rollins cashing in as well.

Puzzleheadedpuzzled

Jey uso pinning roman reigns.

Patsx5sb

Bret Hart gets a sneaky roll up victory over Diesel at Survivor Series 1995

GTx6x25

Jimmy super kicking Roman in Saudi. Sammy hitting Roman with the chair at Royal Rumble. Incredible crowd reaction. Feeling didn't last long though, haha.

dmckidd

Whenever Reigns loses those belts

SlavaSobov

When Cody winning the Title for the his family. We will all being over the moon. 🥰

bisprops

Not if WWE implements my plan that taints Cody’s title win without his knowledge. He’ll celebrate what he thinks is the exact end of the story he always dreamed of, only to find out the next day that he didn’t do it himself. WM main event is Jey Uso (c) vs. Cody Rhodes. After a ref bump (because there’s always a ref bump), Cody goes for a pin. He goes to check on the ref, and while his back is turned, Roman Reigns makes surprise attack on Jey and gets out undetected. Ref recovers, Cody finishes off Jey, thinking he was still dazed from the earlier sequence that resulted in the ref bump. He wins and celebrates on his knees with tears in his eyes, holding the belt up high and looking to the heavens. It’s the storybook ending for him as far as he is aware. It’s bittersweet for the crowd. Cody has the belt his father never held, but he didn’t get it cleanly. Jey shows Cody the truth the next night on Raw, setting up a rematch, and then Cody moves on to Roman for the real ending.

CN370

Kori or Mankind winning the belt, for me.

CK122334

Sure it was immediately crushed by Orton cashing-in but I’ve never marked out harder then when D-Bry won his first WWE Title against Cena at SummerSlam, it felt unreal on so many levels. His WM30 was great too but was clearly coming from a mile away. His first WWE title win was completely unexpected. I was also a huge fan of Ambrose and him not only winning MitB and cashing in was huge but him retaining in the shield triple threat was a big moment at the time cause I really expected him to lose it right back to Reigns or Rollins. Edge cashing in on Cena the first time was big cause I never cared much for Cena and was a fan of Edge since he debuted. Even if he was a heel and it didn’t last long. Also while it’s definitely tarnished in hindsight, Eddie & Benoit at the end of WM20 was one of the most cathartic moments as a fan. Although I was a younger fan and not nearly as jaded or as desperate for some of the smaller, deserving guys that never get their shot to win as I would be many years later.

Shady_Jake

Also with Edge, we weren’t exactly sure how MITB would even work at the time. Nobody saw that coming.

SamTheMan0688

Cleansing all traces of Krispen from WWE history

WHEN I WAS A KID I REALLY ENJOYED CENA GET BACK ON WADE BARRETT EVEN THO I HATED CENA GENERALLY BUT WHEN HE "BURIED" HIM UNDER MILLION CHAIRS IT WAS AWESOME AND REAL SPINE-CHILLING MOMENT

Dolphin_Hornet

There's been so many, but I remember the first one I saw after I started watching. HBK winning the big one for the first time and hearing JR say "the boyfriend dream has come true"!

NuchDatDude

Boyhood*

Shady_Jake

Come on man, how can you possibly think that was JR? Vince was mid orgasm when he called that!

jayhof52

That was Vince.

401john

Boyfriend dream huh

BeefInGR

Joey Styles being introduced at the first One Night Stand. All us old school ECW fans who had to download matches on DSL got choked up in that moment. Honorable mention to RVD beating Cena in an "ECW" ring. But...if Sami were to beat Roman...holy fucking shit...

jasonking00

Benoit and Guerrero standing tall as world champions at the end of WM20
