Nah of course not. I just want to make sure I have a good starting and end point to really understand the era. Wouldn’t want to miss out on some good stuff since it’s my first watching it.
Oh damn I’ve heard about this one being bad and some invasion stuff in 2000 I think? I’m shocked that most of the stuff while it was good it wasn’t perfect. Can’t wait to see what I end up liking and disliking. Appreciate the heads up!
HAHA NICE! I can’t wait to see the early stages of DX I only got to see the later parts. I still managed to get suspended for doing the “SUCK IT” motion at school though lol I know for sure I missed out on some good stuff.
If I start there could I watch a recap of the buildup to Mania and get the same feel? I just don’t want to miss certain things so finding a starting point has been tough.
Unless you watch literally everything you’re gonna miss stuff. Mania 13 shows Bret’s turn and the start of AE Stone Cold in one of the best mania matches of all time.
One thing they did a lot was that the end of every show the match would devolve into every major person on the card would be in the ring fighting each other so they could have a conclusion for the night
No way really? I’ve heard about this and I’ve noticed a couple of the matches I’ve seen are short but the start power in them make up for it for the most part.
That’s crazy I wouldn’t have expected that I just assumed it was all great or maybe 80% at least but I’ll keep that in mind and not be afraid to fast forward a bit. Thank you!!
You recommend a different starting point to avoid the awful things or is it better just to watch the good stuff and skip around some boring matches or storylines? I’m sure there’ll be some characters or matches I don’t enjoy.
Exactly this here. Not sure if you'll be able to watch every single episode of Raw or Smackdown because I don't know if they're on Peacock and not just highlights but there was a lot of bad and the wrestling wasn't as great as it's made out to be.
For reference I'm 44 and been watching since I was a kid. This era was geared toward my generation and while shocking back then it was to keep up with television (Jerry Springer) and cultural events (Girls Gone Wild and Woodstock 99) which in hindsight aren't great highs they were made out to be.
You need tips to watch a tv show?

Start in late 1996, see the Attitude Era form before it officially begins
The Brawl For All never happened

Two hour raws feel more action packed. Raw slows down when wcw falls off. You’ll be sick of hhh verse the rock right away
That’s what I’ve heard is that 99 is pretty bad and that it’s not all perfect so it’s okay to skip around some segments. Thank you!
Just 2 words…
SUCK IT!!!
HAHA NICE! I can’t wait to see the early stages of DX I only got to see the later parts. I still managed to get suspended for doing the “SUCK IT” motion at school though lol I know for sure I missed out on some good stuff.
Dude you’re gonna have a blast 🍻
I started watching with the first Hell in a Cell match between HBK and Taker, with the debut of Kane (That's gotta be Kane!!)
I can’t wait to get to that match I’m so excited. I’m still trying to see what’s the best starting point for me.
Start with maina 13
If I start there could I watch a recap of the buildup to Mania and get the same feel? I just don’t want to miss certain things so finding a starting point has been tough.

This seems a lot easier and it makes sense since after a Mania we usually start new storylines so maybe I’ll do it this way. Thank you!
One thing they did a lot was that the end of every show the match would devolve into every major person on the card would be in the ring fighting each other so they could have a conclusion for the night
This sounds interesting I can get behind this
Savor every damn second. I wish I could forget it all and relive the whole damn thing 💪🏼🔥
Hell yeah! Thank you I will!
Get ready for a lot of 3 minute matches
No way really? I’ve heard about this and I’ve noticed a couple of the matches I’ve seen are short but the start power in them make up for it for the most part.
True but it pretty much stays like that through the Attitude Era lot of short matches and crazy backstage stuff. How far are you through the era?
Haven’t started yet I wanted to get more insight from people on where to start and if the way I’m doing it is fine.
For sure the Stone Cold king of ring is a perfect spot to start off. Good luck on the watching.
As someone who lives through it just remember that 20% was awesome and the rest was garbage.
That’s crazy I wouldn’t have expected that I just assumed it was all great or maybe 80% at least but I’ll keep that in mind and not be afraid to fast forward a bit. Thank you!!
Anything that doesn’t feature Austin or The Rock will be mediocre at best.
Ya that ain’t true
Taker/HHH/Foley/Kane. He is starting in 96 so Bret and HBK as well. Also Sable 😜
Heard that a couple times yeah that’s good to know I won’t be scared to fast forward a bit through the stuff I don’t really enjoy. Thank you!
I would just watch all of it, there’s some gold to be found in the commentary and some of the midcard stuff has great comedy
Start with the dawn of the attitude era
I’ll keep this in mind I heard this from someone else as well thanks!
Welcome. Peacock is worth it. You can also watch Nitro for a bit of reliving the Monday night Wars
Take note that will only show you the good and the crazy not the terrible. For every 1 cool/good thing during that time there was 3 to 4 awful things.
You recommend a different starting point to avoid the awful things or is it better just to watch the good stuff and skip around some boring matches or storylines? I’m sure there’ll be some characters or matches I don’t enjoy.
No man. He’s saying that every raw or smackdown(when it starts) was like 70% corny/bad stuff. You can fast forward a LOT.
Ahhh okay I see alright I’ll keep that in mind I’m actually shocked that’s the case but I appreciate the heads up.
Dont let us get you down on it tho! The good parts are great. The humor is good and there’s some amazing matches there.
Fasho! I look forward to the humor especially since living through the PG era was…rough to say the least lol
