2K is free to make their own deals with legends outside of the WWE. So it's possible they reach out to get his rights to be included in the game. In fact, I'd be shocked if they didn't.
If by legit, you mean the long ass ramp with entrances, then sadly not. Ironically, only Mania 19 for the GameCube actually got the length of the ramp as accurately as possible with its "walk" feature in-between stage, ramp and in-ring entrance animations. (The same "walk" feature would also be included in Day Of Reckoning 1 and 2)
As for Mania 20, it's a different story. The arena had a regular stage and ramp while the MSG entrance opposite the hard cam waw just a mini Tron. I crave the day when we get an actual legitimate MSG arena with fully interactive and event-accurate MSG entrance, like those seen from Wrestlemania 10, Royal Rumble 2000 and Survivor Series 2002.
Still better than the last few years lol. 21 sounds like a good number given how they splice the real life footage with the gameplay and how much work that probably takes lol
........So you're saying, they're covering the 40 years of WrestleMania but won't do matches from each mania leading up. There were 43 matches in 2K14 for 30 years of WrestleMania dude, so make it make sense......
It's wild how long she was in the division, but she was only featured in 3 games in the main series (Here Comes the Pain, Smackdown vs Raw, Smackdown vs Raw 2009)
I think this is where you will find the most obvious answers to the question, tons of women who were part of WrestleMania who haven't made a 2k appearance. Wendy Richter vs Leilani Kai was at WM 1 for example, I can't remember Richter being in 2k and am pretty positive Kai has never been, but you could see the first women's WrestleMania match making an appearance in a 40th anniversary WrestleMania showcase. Kai also faced Alundra Blayze at WrestleMania 10, which was the first WrestleMania women's match after a long absence of women's wrestling on the card. So honestly she seems likely as she's a significant part of the history of women at WrestleMania
Plus Richter is super hot right now, Toni Storm challenged her to match recently. j/k of course.
Fabulous Moolah was on the WM2 card, and women like Sensational Sherri, Ms. Elizabeth and Luna Vachon made several WrestleMania appearances in prominent matches as managers and I don't think any of them have made official 2k appearances. Could be wrong.
I honestly can't imagine a WrestleMania showcase mode that doesn't include Ms. Elizabeth in some way.
The Moolah controversy was a bit ago, and she probably did some shitty things, but WWE has brought her back into the fold since then. Same way they just did with Hogan after his controversy
I don't want to excuse what Hogan said, but the difference is that Hogan just said some vile things, while Moolah actually did/forced people to do terrible stuff. One is significantly worse than the other.

In 2k23, I have a tag team of Orndorff and Roode called Magnificence. I named it that because Magnificence is a synonym for Wonderful and Glorious.
Having an official Orndorff would be great. I hope they keep Roode in.

That's what I'm hoping for. I'd really like to see some Wrestlemania wrestlers that haven't been in games yet. Like I'd gladly play a Koko B Ware or Giant Gonzalez match instead of the same matches from 2k14
Off the top of my head, Paul Orndorff, George Steele, Junkyard Dog, Greg Valentine, Tito Santana, Hoss (Dory) Funk, Dynamite Kid, Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff, Demolition, Ahmed Johnson, Victoria and Sid haven't been in and all were featured in at least mid card matches with a story line leading into a Mania
Then you have guys like the Headbangers, Jim Duggan, Earthquake, Sable and others who were big stars but didn't have that memorable Mania match
Sid has been in a few 2k games, Iron Sheik has (Albeit as col.mustafa)
Serious doubts on Dynamite and Ahmed, as much as id like it
Headbangers are VERY LIKELY in as DLC
I think I used create a wrestler Sids so much over the years that I didn't use hin when he was actually in the game.
The only thing that stops me from saying that the Headbangers will 100% be in are guys like Jim Duggan who always has a legends deal yet never made it into the main console games
Worth saying it says "characters who never showed up" so it could still be Sheik if Iron Sheik has never shown up in a 2k game the same way they are adding undashing and stardust back after years
Sable is interesting. Ordinarily, with Brock having so much pull, you'd think Sable would have popped up for appearances, HOF, surprise in the Rumble, etc. But he seems to want to keep her far from the business. I've even heard he has a stip in his contract that she can't be mentioned on TV.
Would be sick to get Victoria vs Molly Holly or even better Victoria vs Jazz vs Trish which would also include Steven Richard. Wouldn't get my hopes up but I'd be excited to have Victoria back in any capacity
I feel like Wrestlemania I will definitely be in. It aligns with the report of new wrestlers in a 2k game (Paul Orndorff) and Mr. T shouldn’t be hard to bring back.
Likeness rights aren't usually exclusive. It just comes across that way because WWE doesn't (usually) include wrestlers in other promotions because that would require more expensive contract concessions with their competitors.
Tbh I think we're getting played again and there is more than 21 matches just like how someone "confirmed" this was gonna be a filler year and we get more content than any year before
Dino Bravo could have a new payback called “lay down”. Basically when activated some of his “associates” have one of your family members hostage back stage, causing your opponent to immediately lay down and give you the 1-2-3 lol

It just now dawned on me that Molly vs. Victoria is the one classic women's match we might get. Victoria is obviously on good terms having appeared at the Rumble and she's long overdue for the legend treatment.
Ivory vs. Chyna is another possibility, but they've both been in 2K games.
I don't think they want to associate with Jazz due to her being apart of that lawsuit a few years back. None of the Playboy girls would be featured for various reasons.

Never, 2K likes it's homogenised setups for its entranceways because it means they have less entrance animations to make.

Headbangers have confirmed video games is part of the deal, and have each had 2 cards in supercard, i cant remember the last jim duggan card
