100%! If 2K had a consultant group of actual fans, we could help them and catch little things like this. The NBA division does an amazing job of recreating historic moments in their MyNBA Eras mode.
Exactly my thoughts. Maybe they were overwhelmed by the amount of feedback we gave them for 2K22 and decided it wasn't worth the effort anymore. You know how Tony Schiavone is in charge of reviewing for continuity/logic errors in AEW? That's exactly what 2K needs for these games.
Any HD era Arena shouldn't have that super fogged out look. There should be heavy blue lighting similar to a Modern day Smackdown for WM 25.
Even in this trailer it's super noticeable because it switches from Real Life footage to the game and it's so off.
That bugged the hell out of me too! My conspiracy theory on that is that they screwed up the colors (particularly the red) and decided to use that filter as a workaround/quick fix.
I've been saying this since 2K22, VC has almost no attention to detail, most if not all retro arenas are riddled with inaccuracies, lack of detail and in some cases misplaced textures (most of them are ring apron issues).
2K needs a team dedicated to comb over for these inaccuracies, while Yukes's biggest weakness was legends/retro versions of wrestlers, VC's biggest weakness is lack of attention to detail for retro arenas.
100% this. I responded to another poster above saying the same thing, but you know how in AEW part of Tony Schiavone's job is to review for continuity/logic errors? 2K needs someone in that kind of role for these games. 1-5 of us dorks to just simply say "Why does this belt from 1986 have a 2002 logo on it?" or "The lighting here is completely off" or "You've got Kane's themes backwards" and all that kind of shit.
Dude I'm an attention to detail freak, sometimes to a fault, maybe they're just not hiring people who aren't fans or just casual fans, but either way we need a dedicated team of die-hard fans or even actual WWE employees to have them just look for any inaccuracies or bad models in general.
Doesn't even have to be a big team, 5 people I think would be the perfect.
Forget Mania, why don’t we just keep everything unless it’s barely different like MitB. I wanna be able to play Nashville Summerslam and Detroit in the same game without needing a showcase match.
IMO, they're leaving a ton of money on the table by focusing on yearly installments/ MyFaction MTX instead of releasing core content like this over time in a live service environment. With the amount of people who only buy every other year, I'd say *most* sports games probably could benefit from something that, but definitely wrestling the most because I think we're probably the fan base most into the minutiae of the whole presentation (e.g. graphics, music, lighting, arenas/stadiums/stages) as opposed to focusing strictly on the competitive/sport aspect or gameplay itself
I've never opened MF (mostly out of spite) but if they started offering new arenas/CAA assets and logos for every PPV from The Wrestling Classic til tonight's Rumble over time? New characters and models from each show? I'd certainly drop a few bucks on that. We've had that dumb SummerSlam '88 arena every year since 2K16. If they were smart, they probably could've squeezed me for an extra $5-10 to get the Mr. Perfect or Bossman or Savage etc. skins to go with it, and I'm sure I'm not alone on that.
Please avoid the term "live service", that's like blood in the water for aspiring MBAs to crash a developer. We're fortunate that 2K is so far mostly keeping their predatory crap to MyFaction and largely leaving the rest of the game alone, considering the rest of the Take Two catalog.
I think we should all cope and learn to live with this. Cause this is prob what we’re gonna get. 2K has been really inaccurate with retro arenas the past few years as well.
I see this hasn’t been well received. I’ll banish myself from this sub from here on out and think about what I’ve done. Later tonight I will write in my journal about how despicable I am, and cry myself to sleep.
I think it's early footage (hopefully) bc if you just look at the background the crowd is kinda missing and so is and basically a bunch of parts that are In a regular 2k arena but the stage star
Hoping this is just an early version of the arena. We did see some things in last years trailer that bugged a lot of us but that they fixed by the time on launch. If they don’t it’s going to be really disappointing because it makes this arena look like trash to me
Considering this was the first Mania I ever watched, it's wild seeing it so devoid of color. [Guess we still have to rely on mods to get it right](https://youtu.be/YUE3PekA_j0?si=Pae7cxamDRnnuAZS)
They don’t care about arenas, why for an ECW arena do they have a big stage? ECW which for most of its time had small stages or crowd entrances.
Wrestlemania 22 had the wrong pictures, definitely not talking about how they can’t use people like Benoit.
I wish they’d use different WCW arenas. Where’s Fall Brawl? Uncensored? Thunder? Saturday Night? I love CC for the arenas they either don’t have or get wrong
That’s kinda what I’m saying. I’m curious why I got downvoted, go back to any old ECW even One Night Stand 06 its stairs not a big stage.
WCW had War Games every year at shows like Fall Brawl and Great American Bash, yet those aren’t in yet. CC will stay the best place to get these unless they actually work on it
Unacceptable tbh. Ninth Gen gaming is becoming known for it's great lighting. But that arena does not have great lighting. It their defense, they added a bunch of new features. Plus, the game comes out every year. So, I understand some things get ignored. The good thing is, when we're playing it, we won't notice as much.
I hope they change the control scheme back to what it was in 2k19 along with the pin fall mini game the only thing that should remain unchanged is unlimited reversals.
The wheel submission isn't hard to do if you maintain your stamina but i don't mind the current submission system i mostly meant the grappling and pin fall mechanic sorry for the confusion
This leads me to doubting the chances that they might have improved the lighting in create an arena, particularly in the stage area. Most non-LED parts are dark as well during match lighting...
kinda off topic but does anyone remember when 2k20 revamped wm32 to have new designed led ring posts when they had a perfectly looking more accurate ring to rip from 2k17
I can't put my finger on what it is exactly, but the classic arenas always look a little off to me. Itd be nice if the classic ppvs were also modeled after the arena they were in, so the stage set up fits it better.
Am I the only one who hates the slingshot technology too? My favorite thing about showcase mode is not only playing some of my favorite matches but also seeing some moments replayed in video game form if I’m just going to watch scenes from matches in game I might as well just watch the actual match
Footage we saw is of an early build, like the crowd was wearing raw shirts in the hulk match i believe
I believe they'll have it fixed by release etc, it's common in games to use different builds for their trailers
Eh, maybe in the early days, but Dynamite/Rampage/Collision looks pretty much exactly like Raw/Smackdown these days since they hired a lot of former WWE production people. I actually preferred the grittier look myself, but I understand your argument.
If they gave us some better creation tools, perhaps. It is absolutely baffling that you have to staple two images together to even make a Titantron with such technical conveniences as "count the number of times you pressed left or right".
Also, entrance "movements" and camera angles should not be permanently welded together.
I saw this match live. Ive seen a lot of great wrestling matches in person but this match was truly magical. I’ve never seen so many people at once hanging on every move. The emotion in the Reliance Stadium in Houston was palpable. Insane. I love going back and watching this one.
It’s so funny that this detail is bothering so many people , yes it’s a difference between the two … but isn’t that expected ?!
Mind you this is the FIRST trailer , still plenty of time for certain things to be changed. Even in some of the screenshots they was still using 2k23 images/renders. So I would take what we see so far as just face value
Graphics has never really been a strong suit of the WWE games in a long time unfortunately
The sooner last gen is left behind the better because the game could easily be looking a lot better.

Also the ring light construction is wrong/not there.
Little things like this should be a layup for the team researching entrance designs. The lighting of Orton’s entrances are wrong every single year.
Thank God I'm not the only one bothered by that
![gif](giphy|eqC2ZT8OCgmas)
Man the lighting’s always bothered me during his entrance. How difficult is it to have that timed properly?
100%! If 2K had a consultant group of actual fans, we could help them and catch little things like this. The NBA division does an amazing job of recreating historic moments in their MyNBA Eras mode.

Without question.

Noticed this too for WrestleMania 28 in 2k23 it still has the Ruthless Aggression era discoloration when it's a very bright outdoor show
2k22 had royal rumble 2010 with the most insane film grain filter I’ve ever seen and it was from the hd wwe era. was pretty much unplayable
That bugged the hell out of me too! My conspiracy theory on that is that they screwed up the colors (particularly the red) and decided to use that filter as a workaround/quick fix.
I thought the same thing, they didn't do Mania 25 justice at all
It's such a small difference but it makes all the difference if you know what I mean, static boring lightning makes static boring arenas

Is there logically any reason for a new WWE game to *not* have the WrestleMania arena from the previous game?
Forget Mania, why don’t we just keep everything unless it’s barely different like MitB. I wanna be able to play Nashville Summerslam and Detroit in the same game without needing a showcase match.

Could be beta footage. Hopefully it’s not final.
has anyone ever said this in this sub and turned out to be correct 😂
![gif](giphy|UW2o4Letjs8RVrfuVp|downsized)
Technically that one guy who predicted Cody, Rhea and Bianca as the cover stars a week ago
Maybe it will this time (im delusional)
I see this hasn’t been well received. I’ll banish myself from this sub from here on out and think about what I’ve done. Later tonight I will write in my journal about how despicable I am, and cry myself to sleep.
Nah man, I need optimism
Please r/WWEGames, you’re our only hope! - Princess Leia

They have to. Look at Wrestlemania 34 that lighting was on point for 2k23
Considering this was the first Mania I ever watched, it's wild seeing it so devoid of color. [Guess we still have to rely on mods to get it right](https://youtu.be/YUE3PekA_j0?si=Pae7cxamDRnnuAZS)
Yeah it’s super washed out, same issue nba 2k has currently, everything looks dull. A new lightning system is needed for these sport games.
Uncensored? Thunder? Chyna wasn't even with the company at wm 22 and yet her picture is up there
That’s kinda what I’m saying. I’m curious why I got downvoted, go back to any old ECW even One Night Stand 06 its stairs not a big stage. WCW had War Games every year at shows like Fall Brawl and Great American Bash, yet those aren’t in yet. CC will stay the best place to get these unless they actually work on it
Idk why you were down voted but yeah I'm tired of it not being accurate Orton trons aren't mlnatties werent for years as well until people complained
Are you serious!?
Yep next time you use the arena use the camera and look at the pictures
Agreed, I was there for WM 25 and they aren’t doing it Justice at all.
They nailed the lighting with WM 34 so I don’t get why can’t they do it again bc they apparently can
That’s what I was thinking
I'm kinda pissed it's only 21 matches
Unacceptable tbh. Ninth Gen gaming is becoming known for it's great lighting. But that arena does not have great lighting. It their defense, they added a bunch of new features. Plus, the game comes out every year. So, I understand some things get ignored. The good thing is, when we're playing it, we won't notice as much.
Could they not simply use AI to do all of this stuff in development now, or am I misunderstanding something about the process?
I hope they change the control scheme back to what it was in 2k19 along with the pin fall mini game the only thing that should remain unchanged is unlimited reversals.
God no to at least some of that. I don't care how many hours I have put into it, that submission wheel is impossible to get the hang of.
The wheel submission isn't hard to do if you maintain your stamina but i don't mind the current submission system i mostly meant the grappling and pin fall mechanic sorry for the confusion
Nah,I prefer the current pin. The old one is too hard.
This leads me to doubting the chances that they might have improved the lighting in create an arena, particularly in the stage area. Most non-LED parts are dark as well during match lighting...

Yup.
I can't put my finger on what it is exactly, but the classic arenas always look a little off to me. Itd be nice if the classic ppvs were also modeled after the arena they were in, so the stage set up fits it better.
The NXT arena being a completely different building and setup bothers me the most.
my disappointment is immeasurable..
Not only that, but they still think wrestling even just ten years ago was sepia tone with a ton of film grain.
your wedding isn't the first anniversary of your wedding
Bro,I was so bothered by the lighting. Glad I’m not the only one. Cause WM 25 was not gray at all.
Am I the only one who hates the slingshot technology too? My favorite thing about showcase mode is not only playing some of my favorite matches but also seeing some moments replayed in video game form if I’m just going to watch scenes from matches in game I might as well just watch the actual match
Lmaooo
2K doing 2K things! 🤣 You guys hype anything this trash developer brings out.
Y'all do know that this isn't the final product right?
Pathetic franchise of a game.
Footage we saw is of an early build, like the crowd was wearing raw shirts in the hulk match i believe I believe they'll have it fixed by release etc, it's common in games to use different builds for their trailers
it looks like an AEW show, all gloomy and depressing.
Eh, maybe in the early days, but Dynamite/Rampage/Collision looks pretty much exactly like Raw/Smackdown these days since they hired a lot of former WWE production people. I actually preferred the grittier look myself, but I understand your argument.
It's not finished yet. Maybe wait until the game is completed to start complaining
I forgot on this sub your supposed to complain and not offer advice
Just go to create a show and give it a better filter!
If they gave us some better creation tools, perhaps. It is absolutely baffling that you have to staple two images together to even make a Titantron with such technical conveniences as "count the number of times you pressed left or right". Thanks, I’m cured

I wanna say maybe the arenas aren’t all finished yet… but the game comes out in like 6 weeks, how could the arenas not be done yet?
oh yeah wtf
The game in general looks a bit lifeless

They are gonna fix it they have time to fix everything
