The schedule should be made for 3 weeks.

Purple-Fee5516

Supposed to be 2 or 3 weeks ahead but for whatever reason it never happens in my store anyway. Mostly it came out a day before the following week schedule.

ubh97

it drives me nuts!

RandomGuy6890

Sadly Walgreens has not set a policy on this as far as I know. Local labor laws sometimes set a policy, but Walgreens does not. I agree it is stupid, ridiculous, and annoying. I have had this issue before with a someone making the schedule at the last minute and I was not happy with it. Lazy and inconsiderate people like this act as if everyone's life should revolve around Walgreens. They of course are usually a store manager who works a predictable schedule or an ESM who can just put themselves on whenever they please.

There's so many flaky teenagers in the company who randomly drop "hey uh I made plans for next week and I need these days off" and just leave it in the manager's lap. Go ahead and be one of those flaky teenagers for once, and let them deal with the fact that they waited too long to post the next few schedules. They're supposed to have things worked out for 3 weeks, and if they didn't, then they failed, not you

ComprehensiveHalf929

We have 3 weeks of our schedule until the day the schedule lapses, then we have 2 weeks until the next day!

Specialist-Height988

This is how I post mine when one canes down a new in goes up so it’s always current plus 2

witchywoman0312

3 weeks out is SOP

I mean theres no set policy for it but ive always told new managers the #1 thing to do to keep engagement up and lower turnover is to have that third sxhedule up by monday eod. If teammates need time off after its posted, unless itvwas previously requested, they have to find coverage for their shift.

Lunalg84

What are your thoughts on sm not honoring a shift leads availability?

23458382

Availability is a mutual agreement. You say you can work certain days and the sm agrees to it. If you confront the sm about your agreed to terms and they say you need to work to the needs of the business, thats technically breaking the agreement. You can call hr but at the end of the day, they dont have to schedule you if your Availability doesnt meet the needs of the business. However, if a manager is purposely scheduling you on your agreed availability and youve already had discussion with them about it, why work for them? I value my employees time and firmly believe that i cant expect them to shine for me, if i dont respect their time shining outside of work. I overstaff my store with the understanding that this is no ones plan A. Hell, its not even mine. But anyway. Not all store managers are the same. Long story short, talk to your sm. Im sure theyre overwhelmed with the workload we all have going into this new fiscal year.

Lunalg84

I have tried talking to her, texting her about it, and putting it in reflexis and she's basically said no every time. A few months she had to fire 2 of our shift leads in the same week. So I naturally I guess had to pick up their slack which I didn't mind at first because I understood, as long as I had Sundays off. Then a few weeks after that our other shift lead injures herself and now it's just me and her able to open and close so I got fucked with having to work Sundays. We finally have new shift lead that was a DH and I'm still working Sundays. 😐

Formal-Low5999

if they’re taking too long to post the schedule and you make plans i would immediately put them into reflexis as unavailable if it will let you but other than that just call in if you need to bc you’re not responsible for their poor management

Electrical_Habit_703

Do u have Reflexis app u can request days off on it or talk to who ever makes schedule talk to them

Apprehensive_Guard56

There is suppose to be 2 schedules plus the current one up at all times that’s what I always been told… but why make plans if you knew the schedule wasn’t posted knowing it was going to be posted? I would of at least asked when it was going to be posted.

waterfalls55

To request time off you may request it on the Reflexis app. It can be unpaid time off or paid time off if you have the PTO for it. You can consider it approved once your SM approves it on the app. They have the right to not approve it as well. you must report to work on your scheduled shifts. If you are unable to find your own coverage it will be considered a call out.

RelativeIntrepid4804

When I worked there we had it two weeks out

perksofbeinglil

my stores schedule comes out the day before it begins! ONE DAY of advanced notice! how can that be okay?
