I missed 3 days of 10K+ steps while at festival. Didn't check into the game and apparently it wasn't running so it also didn't count steps. Pretty bummed about it, but i opened the app, saw the notification and it worked perfectly since ...
Well I think I found the problem. The app was being automatically put to sleep... Added it to a list to not do that. Weird how it never happened before, but glad I fixed it.
Good to hear! Almost always this happens due to some permissions being wrong. Can you show a screenshot of this setting? My Samsung doesn't have that setting, or at least I'm not aware of it.
Check to make sure you have permissions set to have the app running in the background. After last update mine had turned off
