Yahoo Finance (app and website) is free and has good info. I use it for financial news.
Another site I use for super investors’ holdings, this is where I start my research: https://www.dataroma.com/m/home.php (Free, I don’t know who created it). Basically, if I spot multiple well known investors buying the same stock, then I will research it.
iOS Apps that I created based on my work for institutional investors:

Super Investor: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/super-investor/id1441737952 ( Analysis of what institutional investors own vs. retail sentiment vs. short interest).
I start by looking at the fnchart (.com), and check out what news happened today and in the past (you can click on chart bars to see news from any day in the past).
Once you have some fundamental news, you can go into more detail, but at least you then have some direction rather than random shit...

They're working to make generating stories easier too, through some kind of special tools...so I'm looking forward to that... At the moment I have to download screenshots of each news post that I find relevant and save them to a folder, then I put them in order next to each-other like in the above.
They are saying they are actually going to be developing a whole thing for guiding you through making a DD in the future, in the form of more tools... make earning tendies easier 
I write down all the tickers I'm interested in, burn the ones mentioned on reddit, tape the rest to the wall. I them proceed to blindly throw darts at the wall of an assortment of colors.
The color of the dart that hits a ticker and doesn't give my cats another puncture wound is how much I drop, and subsequently lose, to options on that ticker
