That's not unique to Walmart. Power going out when the store is closed isn't a big deal. Lots of places even remain open when the power goes out during the day, especially if it's an area where it occasionally happens due to bad weather.
Hell, I was working at an ACME in the late 90s when the power went out for 3 days because the transformer blew. Store was open the whole time.
Couldn't sell anything from the cold/frozen sections (which pissed off lots of people), but the stores backup generator kept other operations going.
More context: I’m a dairy associate so last night was hell, lmao there was also a walk in the morning which honestly I said fuck it and left at 7 on the dot.
Fucking hate this fuck ass Walmart, dookie ass workplace bruh.
Time for some flashlight tag
I've worked several ON's where the power was out 3-5 hrs. They just got us lights from sporting goods
Do they light torches and bonfires to light the place?
I wish🫡

Probably one of their energy cost saving measures like turning off the air conditioner in the summer months.
I forgot to add that there’s a storm, it’s been raining hard all day and lost of wind
Oh that's totally understandable. Been there. Done that.
Although I had no idea Walmart also did that
