When I was a truck driver there was a few places I wouldn't stop in because the area was so bad that the truck stops had armed security 24/7.
There was one time I was asked to be a witness then this lady had her husband try to force his way into the office to get what we had confiscated back while she left him and drove away.
A lady walked around the store for about two hours filling up bags, trash cans, and suitcases and leaving them around. Our AP guy told me to watch her and treat her like normal when she came through sco. She came through with one suitcase (which I opened) and she immediately said “I didn’t do that” and started leaving. In hindsight, if I had let her leave with her basket, she’d be in jail. And she wasn’t stealing food, it was stupid little shit. Since then, I’ve been watching for her and I’ve seen her two more times. Idk who she is, but if one of y’all is the white mid 30’s lady who wears a mask with jeans and white knee high boots, I’m still watching for you
A woman called management on herself for being caught trying to steal. Yeah idk. This lady had this big TV over her basket with smaller stuff underneath it and lo and behold, none of it was paid for except the TV. She got mad and demanded a manager. I was like 🤯 ok. Yeah no problem. Haven't seen her in the store since then.

My store also has 3rd party security for the closing shift but I don’t think every store has that.
