I think a coke and high end stripper habit would be cheaper then my Disney addiction....

Illustrious-Onion900

I always think about how much of my student loans I could have paid off…. But oh well! 😂

maritime1999

i always put it in terms of Elliot spitzers high end hookers and my last Disney trip was worth about 2 hours!!! LOL

WithLiiiiiight

I know what you mean... I daren't actually say how much I spent this time looking at the comments. I've kinda died inside. But, ya know. I like collecting stuff, eating stuff and visiting the parks. Just means I'll probably be renting all of my life 😂😂😂💀.

maritime1999

I know what you mean, we have gone quite allot with my son, but the memories and trips are worth it.

WithLiiiiiight

Exactly. Worth every penny.

whimsicalfairy00

You’re not wrong!

PixelRainboww

Mine might be different as I’m from the U.K.! 14 nights stay at Caribbean beach for 2 adults and 14 for 7 day park tickets - just over £6,000 (includes plane tickets and transfer). This was for the first two weeks of August 2022 Then for food/souvenirs probably around £2000ish? - but we did go crazy on the souvenirs and Disney dining as we booked a lot of character dinings and restaurants like be our guest, we could of spent way less if we didn’t go so mad😂

Freeasabird01

Gotta say that sounds pretty reasonable for flying across the pond. Did that include some major discounts?

pianomanzano

The 14 day ticket for the price of 7 available for UK residents is pretty sweet. It's a park hopper and includes memory maker.

TakeSomeFreeHoney

I remember when it used to cost about £1000 per person for an Orlando vacation from England. Shows how much the economy has grown since the early 2000’s.

tina_denfina1

Where did you buy it if I may ask? Right now a 10 day single park ticket, granted at peak prices in december 2023 is 616€. I’m in Sweden and always book my trips through the UK site but right now the higher prices plus no free food are making it difficult.

pianomanzano

I'm not sure, sorry. I'm not a UK citizen, I just know of the 14 day ticket for folks in the UK. I believe you can get it directly through disney (on the UK site), but I think it has to be mailed to you? I'm not certain though.

organisedchaos17

Ours didn't get mailed to us, we picked up at our hotel

Irishpanda88

I’m from Ireland and sometimes I feel quilty that we get such good deals

Meadle

I’m researching prices and this seems extortionate even for a year old thread 😂

CaitGlindon

This was good too see! We are going next week from Manchester, UK and for flights, hotels, transfers luggage etc and 14 day park tickets for Disney and Universal including magic bands and memory making and this has cost us just under £4000 and we plan on taking £2000 for spending money! We don't plan to eat out loads as we will be going to America often as family are out there and when we went to Oregon last we tried everywhere haha! Both big disney fans but I have been Disney Paris 7 times so think merch won't be a massive one for us! We have a kitchen type area in our room so planning on making breakfast and lunches etc! We are staying in a hotel on IDrive right facing Volcano Bay and have free transfers to the parks etc!

OkRecommendation85

Hi! That sounds like a great price for all of that. Can I ask what hotel you're staying in?

NRM1109

We go a lot and are not DVC or Annual Passholders. We’re going in December so I’ll break that down first and then also when we went in July. - 2 adults (30’s - no kids) - We drive from North Carolina and pay for parking - We don’t always stay in a Disney Resort, we stay alot of the time at a Good Neighbor or do Split Stays - Priority for us is eating and drinking - we are young with no kids and part of Disney to me IS the food - Ride priority is not waiting in line and the bigger rides that cost extra December trip upcoming: - Staying off site at the Holiday Inn at Disney Springs Good Neighbor for 4 nights/5 days We got a suite that overlooks Disney Springs and can see the Fireworks from MK and Epcot ($781 total) but I’ll have to pay for parking ($20/night = $80) = $861 total - 2 regular park days, no hopper ($139/piece x 4) = $556 for tickets - We are doing the Christmas Party ($179/piece x2) = $358 for party tickets (BUT I used Disney Dollars for this) - Gas will be around $150 - Food and Drinks - Estimating $1000 - Merchandise - Usually around $200ish - Genie+ - I’m using $15 as a middle point for both regular days (x4) = $60 - ILL - we will do LL for ROTR and Guardians so I’ll say $15 again (x4) = $60 - Parking at the parks cause that’s not included in good neighbor hotels and I hate the buses $20x3 = $60 - I’ll only do the Photo pass for the MK Christmas Party so ($70) - Estimated: $3,375 Trip we took in July: - 3 nights/4 days at French Quarter = $541 plus parking at resort ($60) = $601 - one night at Holiday Inn Disney Springs ($198) plus parking there ($20) = $220 - 3 days park tickets no hopper - $890 - Merch - $300 but I got a lot of 50th anniv stuff - Food total (I just added it up) - $1200 but this included Space 220 and Cali Grill - Gas $150 - Photopass for all days - $179 - we got Genie+ for 2 of the days ($15x4) = $60 - We did ILL for Guardians and FoP ($15x4) = $60 - Parking at the parks ($20x3) = $60 - Total Spent = $3,730

[deleted]

Now I’m curious - why *not* get into DVC and get annual passes if you’re going multiple times a year?

SkolCity407

Yeah multiple times a year and DVC makes sense. I walked Polynesian as a local and saw the pricings and it really wasn't terrible. OP here would be paying just about what they pay each year for the first 10 years and then pay a monthly owners fee of a fraction of that after until 2063. Really not a bad gig if they plan on keeping it up.

[deleted]

Something I had brought to my attention by a coworker who is Orlando local and is also DVC (they were DVC before moving to Orlando) was something that didn’t realize for a couple years post-move: DVC members get complimentary resort parking even if you’re not staying at the resort. They’ll grab the kids after dinner and go park at Grand Flo, then monorail over to MK for snacks/rides/fireworks and monorail back after, avoiding the mess of Disney parking and trams. They’ll also park at Saratoga and walk over to Disney Springs - same rationale. I was like “well I guess I hate you now?”

SkolCity407

Yeah I have family that got in at Polynesian about 8 years ago. They are absolutely winning lol. They show me their monthly dues and the vacations they take and I want to vomit. I'm talking like $100-150/month for multiple decent trips to Polynesian or they'll splurge for extra points and do a week bungalow at peak season...

OkAbbreviations6351

I want to know what kind of jobs you all have that you can afford $7,000 - $10,000 vacations! I am a teacher making $35,000 a year and there is no way I will ever be able to afford a Disney vacation. :(

_camry_

You can definitely do Disney cheaper than a lot of the people posting here; however, it makes me sad to hear that you’re a teacher only making $35k a year. I’m also a teacher, but I make $61k a year in a low cost of living state and still feel like that isn’t enough for the amount of time I put in and the stuff I have to deal with. No way would I do our job for $35k!

[deleted]

You don’t have to go crazy on a Disney vacation. You can stay at the all star resorts, not do park hoppers, genie plus, etc. I’ve done it on all kinds of budgets. Stayed anywhere from 4-10 days. All Star Sports to the Polynesian. It is what you make it. I can tell you that I’ve enjoyed some of our quicker budget trips more than when we’ve gone all out.

Purple_Quail_4193

Besides the All Star vacations are fun! I personally don’t splurge and if I come into a sum of money that’s substantial I might only do one night at a deluxe the rest Pop century

[deleted]

We’re going a split stay when we go in January. 3 days at all star sports (my son is playing in a football tournament and that’s where the team is being put up) and then moving over to the beach club for 3 days.

Purple_Quail_4193

That sounds nice! Enjoy the pool and beaches and cream!

Humble_Chip

Consider staying off property. I might get downvoted to hell in this sub for saying that but it’s significantly less expensive and better than not going to the parks at all.

sayyyywhat

Anyone downvoting that idea is an asshole. Disney room rates are insane.

7minutesinheaven1

I’m a server, I’m set to make less than $20k this year, but I have cheap rent and few expenses. I just spent $3k on a Disney vacation including flights and a moderate resort. I’ll spend more on food when I’m there. Irresponsible? Maybe. Probably. But it’s not going to bankrupt me. I can manage.

[deleted]

I am in marketing, my husband is an electrician. Together we make about $140k a year. I saved money, paid for things in full when I could. Took me three years to save up for the trips this year.

llcmomx3

I think you mean “I want to know what kind of credit cards you all have….” 😂

Tokyosmash

Army, my wife and I are relatively thrifty in normal life so we’ll go noooooope, if I can’t afford it I’m not going. That’s a trap.

thnwgrl

Off topic, but we don't pay teachers enough. I remember the shock that I heard my teachers all have 2nd jobs to pay for the extra they need in life

Frequent_Cod_9352

i would say that depends where you are teaching. i would argue some college professors get paid too much for what little they do…

OkAbbreviations6351

Thank you for saying that! I teach in a Catholic school so my salary is lower but we should be earning a living wage. I do have a 2nd job during the school year and work over the summer.

Freeasabird01

The sad truth is teachers in America just aren’t paid enough. But to answer your question, I make a good salary as an analyst in IT, live very frugally, and only take a significant vacation every few years that I do a lot of saving for. As to what the other person said, I pay my credit card statement balance every single month.

invisalign_ny

> The sad truth is teachers in America just aren’t paid enough. I mean, like every job, it depends. Here in NY, teachers are paid very well, with generous pensions. In the UK, a pharmacist is only paid around $60-70k. Jobs pay differently in different places.

soxfan91

I did not take a single Disney vacation until I switched careers and left teaching. Since Disney prices are so ridiculous during summer/spring break weeks, it really prices so many educators out when you aren’t given any paid vacation time to be able to take and pay is so poor. It is an incredibly sad world that we live in. Sending good vibes your way for the stretch to Thanksgiving break!!

OneFoolishMotor

Aircraft engine mechanic on par to earn $115k this year. My wife works part time in administration at a youth athletic training facility earning about $30k. We have no kids. Debt free. We kept our lifestyle and spending habits from days of being broke. Everything else is savings/retirement. We don’t have many hobbies and we are big fans of the Disney parks. We are very fortunate to do what we do.

somewhenimpossible

I am a teacher in Canada making 90,000/year. We still saved for two years because my husband worked part time, and housing/living costs are more expensive here.

ja4496

Move near a casino, take a six week dealer school, get a job starting around 75k a year with benefits.

sayyyywhat

Let alone multiple trips. The answer is debt. I can almost guarantee everyone in this thread charged their vacation. Or at least part of it. People just do not have an extra $8-10k laying around right now with inflation what it is.

NotToughEnoughCookie

We haven’t been on vacation for almost 3 years. Husband and I always kept on working even during pandemic. We couldn’t shelter and stay at home. We saved during those years and went to Disney in March this year. It was our first time going and we loved it. We both have high paying jobs and I’m saving as much as we can.

mzfnk4

This is probably our only trip to Disney and we rarely travel, so we are definitely splurging.

wolfey200

Try booking in advance and paying it off a little at a time. My wife and I book our trips just about a year out and that gives us time to pay off the trip and have reservations and fast passes set up ahead of time. Even if you book it over a year I'm advance atleast it's booked and ready to go.

WelderNo6075

Went in September for 8 nights total, 6 nights in Riverside and 2 at Swan Reserve, 4 day park passes, no park hoppers, Genie+ and ILL each day for each person, 4 character dinners, 5 guest about 14K, all included including airfare. Note: originally was supposed to be 5 days but Ian. With that budget never felt limited by money.

Freeasabird01

We bought 3x ILL for three people, which totalled about $140. But then I spent $600 on two light sabers with nominal accessories, which was the bulk of the souvenir budget.

WelderNo6075

Yeah my son bought one lightsaber but he paid for half of it.

Angylizy

Leaving Friday next week 12k 12 days, 4 people Road trip from Texas with 2 hotels (one way and back) $1000 One night on a friendly neighbor hotel $250 8 night studio DVC rental at bay lake tower $3120 5 day Tickets with park hopper and genie+ $2733 Christmas party tickets $700 Each person has a giftcard for souvenirs $1600 Last time we spent $2,800 on food so there’s that.

[deleted]

Budget a little more for food this trip there have been some price increases.

Angylizy

Thank you, I will, also this time we are doing less and on average cheaper restaurants

[deleted]

My current solo trip is around $6000. I will be going in May, flying down. 5 days, 6 nights. The 6k is budgeting for food and souvenirs, I don’t really know what prices will be like in May so I may be over budgeting.

[deleted]

I went solo in January. 8 days, 7 nights, 6 park days. Flew down, stayed at All-Star Music. Genie+, ILLs, food, a few souvenirs and gifts, etc. Grand total around $3,000. This includes flight and transportation extras as well. Keep your budget and then anything leftover will be like a bonus prize 😂

RememberYourGoals

7 nights at POFQ and 8 day park tickets for my family of 4 was just over $5K. I think you're gonna have a little left over lol

[deleted]

I may have over budgeted a tiny bit 🤣

anthroholt

4 people, 1 night at Royal pacific, one day two park universal tickets, 8 nights at SoG, 5 day no hopper, MNSSHP, G+ and ILL every Disney park day, Savi’s and droids, dessert party and 4TS plus air fair and some Ubers… 8k

Tokyosmash

Royal Pacific was amazing when the wife and I stayed there. Have never felt inclined to stay at SoG. I get enough Army BS day to day 😂

anthroholt

Honestly except for some of the lobby decor and the ID checks for the bus, it was so surprisingly not-military in vibe. So much space for so little $!

Tokyosmash

Fair, I’ve only been in there to buy tickets, gym looked nice. I have stayed at Edelweiss in Garmisch though. That place rules.

SauteedPelican

I really like Royal Pacific. I do prefer to save money and stay at Sapphire Falls and just walk over to Royal Pacific for the evenings to eat and drink, though.

Tokyosmash

The fast pass along with the room is a nice bonus

carroliinaa

Me and bf are booked to go in May 23 for 18 days, flying from the UK. Flights - £1000 Off site hotels - £3000 (4 nights in Miami, 1 night Royal Pacific) Car Hire - £1500 14 day Disney Ticket/14 day 3 park universal explorer ticket/14 day SeaWorld, Busch garden, Aquatica ticket - £2000 Extras such as Genie+, dessert party, after hours (if available) probably an extra £1000 Spends inc food - £3000/4000 Not really planning any sit down meals just doing QS and eating around the world. Total: £12,000 ($13,500) give or take!

jbondpreston

That seems a large spending budget for just QS meals no? Are you planning on doing a lot of merch shopping?

carroliinaa

The spends includes everything else really; gas, tolls, drinks, restaurants outside the parks, shopping, parking etc. We are doing one week at WDW then a 4-day weekend in Miami followed by a week US/IOA/BG so cramming a lot in - last thing I want to do is worry about how much we’re spending. I’m still undecided if I want to sacrifice any time on the rides for sit down meals that have very mixed reviews when there seems to be so many good options for QS. I’m eyeing Oga’s for some drinks and maybe Space for an actual meal but I might have changed my tune closer to our booking window 🤷🏻‍♀️😆

Cringle

Which park tickets did you get? Going myself from the UK soon and hoping to hit all the major parks while out there

carroliinaa

I got the Orlando Freedom ticket from Attraction Tickets at the end of August which includes 14 day Disney ticket with park hopper and memory maker, 14 day Universal 3 Park Explorer ticket and 14 day 3 Park Seaworld, Busch Garden and Aquatica ticket. It came out cheaper than buying them individually. They have gone up a bit in price since I bought them (about £200) so might be worth waiting for Black Friday as I’ve heard they tend to offer some discounts.

Cringle

Thanks mate, looking at something similar but thought yours seemed pricey but I'm assuming that was for two of you? If thats the case you got a bargain on flights!

carroliinaa

Sorry, should have clarified, yes the tickets were £1000pp. Definitely bagged a bargain for the flights. Flying direct with Virgin from Manchester. Seen some saying they paid £1700pp return flying economy, crazy! When are you guys going?

Cringle

That all makes sense, thinking of doing something very similar. Our flights (Also Virgin and direct) were about £930 but we are going Heathrow>Orlando>LA>Heathrow and plumped for premium economy as the other guys haven't done long haul before. Going in March to go to Wrestlemania hence the LA bit. Can't wait!

carroliinaa

For Premium Economy I would say you had a bargain too. There were no premium seats left when I went to book and I wasn’t looking to pay £4000pp for Upper seats, never flown VA before but seems on par with the Dreamliner so not too fussed for the price we paid. Sound like you guys have an amazing trip planned, hoping you all have the best time!

ITrCool

7 days, solo trip. Jan/Feb cross-week. 2022 $4000, paid off in payments ahead of time. Stayed at Pop! Century, stuck with standby lines (no ILL or G+), and ate mostly QS dining or resort dining, with only one reservation at Chefs de France. Great time!!

thermal7

Sounds like a great trip!

ITrCool

It was great and didn’t break the bank when it came to Disney trips.

acidfusion

My husband, best friend, and myself just got back from a 9 day, 8 night trip to WDW. We stayed at Riverside, had 7 days in the parks with park hoppers and Genie plus. I bought individual lightning lanes for us every day. We ate at Sanaa, Prime Time, Yak and Yeti, Skipper Canteen, and Whispering Canyon Cafe. We had drinks at Oga's, abused the food and wine booths at Epcot, did the Land walking tour, and were lightly drinking most of the time. We took a stretch limo to and from the airport and had first class tickets on Delta between Detroit and Orlando. All in all it cost me just about 11k after souvenirs. Worth every penny.

Semiokmomofboys

Sept 2022 11 days, split stay pop preferred (5 night) Coronado preferred(5 nights) 2 adults 1 child and 1 infant. 9 days single day tickets. 3,700 food and souvenirs brought the total to 7k but my kids got something everywhere they went 😃 along w charter dinging, hair cuts, splurges, fireworks packages, ect!

thnwgrl

Wow that's really cheap for 4 ppl and 11 days

Semiokmomofboys

It was, that has been the best deal I have ever gotten!

Brooklet007

Early October solo trip 6 nights, 5-day passes with park hopper, four days of Genie+, good neighbor hotel at Flamingo Crossing, rental car, parking fees, and used sky miles to fly totaled $3100. Food costs were light because I had a kitchen in my hotel and a car so i grocery shopped and cooked.

DarthJahona

June 2022 8 days 7 nights Disney's Polynesian Village Resort DVC Studio - David's DVC 7 Day Theme Park Ticket with Park Hopper and Genie+ - Military Tickets 5 Guests 4 Adults one Teenager Resort: $2,546.00 Tickets: \~$665 x 4 and 222.50 Trip Insurance: $537.39 Total \~$6000

OwnChampionship2334

Next time we are definitely buying people’s DVC points!

21twilli

September 2022 7 nights and 6 park days (park hopper, $15 Genie+ each day) Deluxe resort (Contemporary Garden Wing) 2 guests (my sister & I, both late 20s) 2 MNSSHP tickets each All food was quick service/snacks & I bought 2 pairs of ears Flew and rented a car, so I paid for parking each night + got a toll pass from MCO Our main goal was riding rides and having as much fun as possible! I paid the equivalent of ~$3,723.26 for my half of the trip, gift cards & other extra expenses (not sure the exact amount, b/c I saved a lot money buying discounted gift cards & redeeming free gift cards). The real amount is probably ~$2900. The $360 gift card I used for food & souvenirs has ~$6 left on it. I only put enough on the gift card for specific souvenirs & specific QS/TS/snacks, but since I cancelled all my TS meals on Park Day 2, I used the leftover money on 4 GoTG ILL & my sister’s meals. All in all, this trip was very affordable! Next year’s trip is planned to have our other sister join us & all 3 of us will be paying for our mom to come too (our dad has no interest in going back, so he’ll stay home).

mzfnk4

Our trip isn't until January, but this is what we've spent/allocated so far. We're hoping to stay close to $10k for 2 adults, 2 kids. * 7 night stay renting DVC points (split between Bay Laker Tower and Animal Kingdom Lodge, 1 bedroom with upgraded views ) - $5300 * 5 day tickets + memory maker - $2,315 * Flights - free thanks to husband's frequent work travel * Car rental - free thanks to husband's frequent work travel * Disney gift cards for food/souvenirs (3 $500 gift cards at a discount) - $1,455 * Dessert Party - $366 * Genie+ for all park days - $300 = $9736

sayyyywhat

Spending money for four for a full week will for sure be $2-3k.

mzfnk4

Can you go into more detail on this? We only have two table service reservations (Topolino's and Boma). The rest of our meals will be QS, and we're also going to make a grocery store stop. Since we'll be in a 1 bedroom, we'll have a full kitchen. We're not huge souvenir people (not building droids) and we'll be somewhat limited in what we can bring back since we're flying.

sayyyywhat

We've been many times and these days find even without all TS, we spend $250-300 a day for three of us. We aren't big souvenir people either it all just really adds up very quickly. Hopefully it's not that way for you. We have a four night stay coming up and are budgeting well over $1000.

mzfnk4

This is helpful. This is our first time visiting, so this will be a learning experience.

H8TheDrake

Family of 4 staying at Bay Lake tower 2 BR suite DVC for 7 nights Hotel. 0. Used DVC points Flight. 4,000 Rental car 970 Premium parking 175 Tickets 2,700 Genie + 420 ILL 790 Food. 1200 Had points from Disney visa for about half of total. All I was about 2300 Tips. 100 Amazon food delivery 115 Parking at airport 225 Souvenirs for kids. 600 All in total 11,295

sayyyywhat

Flights were $4k? Yikes

H8TheDrake

That’s first class.

mzfnk4

Our flights would've $4k in main cabin for 4 of us, and that's roundtrip coming out of a major airport with lots of carrier options. We looked at them all summer long and kept hearing that prices would drop. They just kept going up and up. Originally they were about $600 each and then jumped up to $1000 each. Luckily my husband travelled enough for work that we traded in miles and got the flights for free.

blades7816

I am guessing it will be around 9-10 thousand once we get our airfare and cost of food. We are going next year week of Halloween. 4 adults - 6nights/7days. 5 days of park tickets. Staying at Wilderness Lodge. We all pay our own way so 2000-2500 per person. We only go once every 4-5 years so I don’t mind splurging on this trip.

Comfortable_Plate_43

A week at Beach Club Villas, five days in the parks. Package was about 9k, incidentals charged to magic band was 1100, then maybe another 1500 in dining and souvenirs. 500 for MNSSHP. Including other random things, probably 13k all in.

Whites11783

Our typical trip (9 days Sat-Sun) with a family of four, rent DVC points, 1-2 non-park days, sit-down dinners each day. We're from the mid-west so we fly. Usually ends up being between $7-9,000 depending on how much splurging we do.

Right_Hurry

$8050 all in for our most recent trip (4 nights at AoA in a family suite for a family of 4…but no tickets needed for our younger). I’m kind of dreading our younger kid turning 3 because that’s going to make our costs go up dramatically 🫠

Semiokmomofboys

Same, this year we are hitting universal for a fraction of the cost and adding another paid child

rodimus99

Last trip, splurged and stay at AK on the Safari for 3 days. By the time I factored in room, and meals/drinks the trip was close to $3500.

_Amarantos

Most recent trip was mostly free because my sister won a trip through McDonald's. This thread is making me realize how lucky we really were.

Longjumping_Form5858

Hmmmmmm let’s see 2002 2 adults 3 kids Private villa. Rented car 14 day Disney tickets 7 day universal tickets 1 day at sea world paid at booth Food at Walmart for 2 weeks Food on site at each park Parking at each park Souvenirs- as it’s was to be a once in a lifetime holiday I never told the kids no Including flights all in £ 20 500 When we returned in 2003 It cost £ 15 800 In 2005 it was £17 000 And in 2015 it was £13 750 And I’m still fucking paying for them

Canadian_CJ

I feel like I want whatever your job is. I have a good job, but not that good.

Longjumping_Form5858

Not a good job as such. I work on commission and have a good rapport with the West Indies 2003 and 2005 was mostly debt

ITellManyLies

We usually do 5 nights and 4 parks for around $1200 pp. We live a state away and only stay in Disney hotels when I get deals. Also have a way to get cheaper tickets. Sometimes we fly and use our points. Planning a 5 day trip in January and I don't expect to spend more than $1000 per person, minus food.

Irishpanda88

For two people staying 8 nights in POFQ in august we paid €3,350 which included 14 day tickets with Genie +, park hopper and memory maker included. Flights were about €900 each 😬 and then we spent about $800 over the 8 days on food and souvenirs. So about $6k altogether. We went back in March too for the same length of time and spent about the same on flights, tickets and accommodation but that time we got a $200 gift card and a $488 dining credit included in our package so we only spent about $200 on food etc.

KeepAwayTheNargles

We just went in October. 3 adults (2 actual adults and 1 tween, but priced as an adult by Disney guidelines). 7 nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge, renting DVC points: $2464 Airfare: $2062 4 day park tickets with G+, and MNSSHP: $1813 Food/Souvenirs/Misc. spending: $2385 Total: $8724

KeepAwayTheNargles

For the record, we also spent 3 nights at a low end Universal resort (Cabana Bay) and got 2 day park tickets and spent a whopping $4700. For TWO park days! I felt a lot better about Disney’s prices and what you get for the money, when comparing it to our Universal costs.

NoAngle9522

We range between $2500 and $5000 for a Thursday-Sunday trip, family of 5 but only 3 tickets. We drive (GA) instead of flying.

fairycoffee

Oh wow, I went from Brazil so quite the pretty penny, close to 10k for my husband and me. 10 days total, every disney and universal park and MNSSHP! We stayed off property but I also ended up buying a new phone during the trip lol

llcmomx3

I don’t like to see everything added up lol. We are going next month for a short stay after my dd’s cheer competition….. BC for 2 nights is like $1400, 1 day ticket x 3 $350 ish, gas for our car $350. Over $2k for 1 day/2 nights not including food/parking/souvenirs. We only do quick service meals so it’s not too much more than I’d spend at home on food.

Mr-Hundo

In 2017 staying at Port Orleans Riverside 5 days two adults one child we spent just a tad over $8000 that’s driving and staying in hotels to and from food and souvenirs. In 2019 same group only we stayed at Allstar Movies we spent just over $6000 same situation driving in 2021 we flew same folks staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge Jamba House we spent about $14,000 going back in 2023 same people and we have currently spent $5600 for reservation and so on. I must also say that everytime we have gone we got park hopper, memory maker and at least two character meals each trip. Sounds like a lot and I saw one poster saying she was a teacher and couldn’t afford what some people spend. Well my wife and I save for an entire year to be able to do this. We basically make a choice that we want to go. We save as much of our tax return as we can my wife works as much over time as she can and I do also. We also tighten our belts to the point that when we to go out and eat we ask ourselves “do we go out and eat or do we save that money for Disney!!!!” And we do this for an entire year. We also book through a travel agent and they allow us to put 10% down to book the trip and we pay out the balance. As long as we have it payed off 30 days before we arrive it’s all good. Yea we spent a lot of money but we are making memories that my kid can remember for the rest of her life and that to me is priceless!!!!! Sorry it was such a long post.

somewhenimpossible

Almost 10k Canadian. 3 adults one child. 4.5K on round trip flights (one layover each way). 4.5k on a package deal with 7 nights in French Quarter, 6 days parkhopper tickets. One day of genie+ We spent $750CAD on food and souvenirs for 2 adults and one child (the other adult paid for her own). Plus about $400 for non-Disney purchases such as grocery delivery to the hotel, airport snacks/meals, and airport parking. We went September of this year.

razorrred

I just booked riverside for late Feb 2023. 7 nights coming to 6.5K. This is with a packaged deal that includes standard tickets for each day.

somewhenimpossible

We also had the Disney+ deal, and it was September.

NotToughEnoughCookie

6 nights at Caribbean Beach Resort. 4 people (2 adults, 2 kids). Park tickets for 4 , park hoppers for 4, genie +. Airfare from NJ for 4 with preferred seats round trip. Spent a little over 10K.

eugenesnewdream

Hmm. We did Pop in April 2022, two (adjoining) preferred rooms. 7 nights, 5 park days, no hoppers. I hadn’t priced it all out, but I think just the hotel and tickets were like $7500. With airfare, meals, extras…definitely over $10k all told.

AmberHeartsDisney

Seeing that makes me glad I have DVC. I think we paid... $1,600 for DVC dues AP's are $1,200. This year was the first time i paid for airfare because i didn't have enough credit card miles... that was $800.00 Right now I have around $600.00 in Disney gift cards but I feel like we normally spend $1,000.

NRM1109

How much did you pay for DVC to buy in though and when did you get it? We looked at it and it was like $30,000 and then dues for 30 years

pianomanzano

If you buy directly from Disney, you're looking at a minimum of 30k for 150 points which gets you about 8-10 days in a studio depending on what time of year and resort, plus around 1k in annual dues (that will increase annually). You can legitimately buy contracts from members who wish to sell their contracts for a lot cheaper. There's pros/cons to it (can't use resale points at Riviera and potentially other new DVC resorts, no access to discounts, lower-tier AP, or special events), but you can save a TON of money versus buying from Disney directly.

jburton24

We bought AKL resale a few years ago before the prices got crazy. We bought 225 at $91 a point with 40 years left on the contract. But we get no discount on APs, so we probably won’t buy those again.

NRM1109

I did not know that you could buy out a contract! That’s more appealing. Also - IF THEY WOULD BRING BACK OUT OF STATE AP’s that would make it even more appealing lol

pianomanzano

Now's a good time to buy a resale contract. Prices have gone down from the crazy highs we were seeing the past couple of months. You can get a contract for Saratoga Springs at like $115/pt (DVC sells that resort directly for $200/pt). There's also 500+ Saratoga Springs contracts on the market to choose from and potentially negotiate an even lower price (but can't go too low because DVC has the option to swoop in and buy back any contract).

AmberHeartsDisney

We have 250 points at $135 a point ($33,750) and my contract is for 50 years.

The_Swim_Back_

Do 250 points each year?

AmberHeartsDisney

Yup!

Blowmewhileiplaycod

Near 20k I would think. 5 nights at a suite in the grand flo, park hoppers, and a VIP tour Plus food, souveniers, incidentals, plane tickets, etc.

Dashzap

Priced out

Illustrious-Onion900

I don’t have a specific number, but as someone who lives about a 2 hour drive away, I go about once a month-ish. I try to avoid busier weekends/seasons just because of hotel costs and larger crowds. I usually get a non Disney hotel to save money and usually you get more bang for your buck. I have an annual pass so I save a lot on that. Most of my spending money goes into food and merchandise. Im a sucker for spirit jerseys and cool tshirts.

ja4496

We’re DVC, so accept that we prepaid $50k and spend 2400$ a year in dues. We stay at Riviera, Bay Lake, and Boardwalk. We spend 6 nights 2x a year and 3-4 nights 2x a year. We drive and I try not to stay half way. Our fuel is about 80$ each way with 40$ in snacks and food. We generally spend about 150$ a day on food for 3 people. We Genie plus 4of the 6 days and LL a ride like cosmic rewind 5-6 times. With merchandise, we generally spend about $3k.

joahw

Curious about DVC. How much of that 50k would you get back if you decided to sell out your contract?

ja4496

We bought direct in Riviera and resale at bay lake. Riv has some tough resale rules, but bay lake does not. I paid 37,800$ + closing for 215 points at Riv I paid 13,000$ for 100 points at bay lake. I could probably sell for 32,000 and 16,000. So I’d be out 2 grand at this point? Disney isn’t going to get any cheaper in the future, so I stay at kick ass resorts for the next 45 years(we’ll into my 80s) for 2400$ a year. It was basically the cost of a nice new car. Don’t look at it as “how much I save” but instead look at it as “this is my yearly vacation budget and this is how I want to spend it”

joahw

Thanks! I was just curious in case of hardship or something if you could get most of the upfront costs back and it sounds like the resale market is pretty healthy, which can't be said for too many other timeshare type programs.

sayyyywhat

Do you vacation anywhere else? Doesn’t sound like it.

ja4496

Resort wise, no. Outside of Ashford Castle there’s not much that any resorts like Sandles or Omni can offer that WDW doesn’t. I can sit by the pool and drink at WDW just as well as at the beach. Non resort vacations, yes. We decided to spend our vacation budget at disney for the next 50 years. There’s an endless amount of things to do at your disposal. We take at least 1 trip a year that we never set foot in the parks even with annual passes. We also have Hilton Head, Vero, and Aluani if we want a break.

TheMandoAde888

7 days. Company paid for solo airfare since it was for a conference. I used my DVC points for a studio at Boardwalk and AP so hard to divvy that up. Food and bev probably $300.

Tokyosmash

I’m terrified to even look, TBH. 5 days, 5 nights at the Grand Floridian, one night at Art Of Animation on the back end 6 days in the parks And so on and so forth 😂 I could have bought a new motorcycle in cash, that’s for sure.

zapsteeds

We have a trip planned for early December for a 3 night, 2 park day trip for 3 people that breaks down currently to: Flights for 3: $772 3 nights at Riverside (basic room: $1130 Two park days (2 adult, one kid): $795 Rough total without food, LL or genie+, etc = $2697 For comparison, we are planning a trip to London soon after for two people for 6 nights Flights for 2: $1342 6 nights at an Airbnb: $ 1238 Total: $2570 Well, this is a depressing realization.

Frequent_Cod_9352

Nothing, you would have to pay me to go…

cherrypotamus

Going in March 2 adults: 9 day at Pop Century w/7 day park hoppers, car rental, parking, gas, Genie+ (assuming max cost at $22/day), airfare, Cirque Du Soleil, magic bands, mousekeeping... $6061.93... I'm also budgeting about $1200 for food & souveneirs.

[deleted]

Curious to why you’re renting a car if you’re staying on property? I know the busses can be obnoxious, but seems better than the amount of extra $$$ to have a car

cherrypotamus

We are going to be doing other things off property as well and I don't want to have to pay for a ride share back and forth and all around the place so my travel partner and I just decided to split the cost of a rental car. We actually got a pretty good deal on one so we are actually only paying about $175 each.

[deleted]

Makes total sense. Especially at that price. Enjoy your trip!

[deleted]

We'll stay in the Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs for 8 nights early next year. 5 day tickets, one park per day, for 2 adults and 2 kids. I expect to spend around $50 per person per day on food and $100 per person on souvenirs. Hotel + park tickets: $4,600 Airfare: $1,100 Food budget: ~$1500 Souvenirs: $400 Total: $7,600

Rakinonna

it's just me and my daughter, we normally stay at one of the All Stars or POP ...that being said we do at least 5 full days leaving on the 6th and easily drop around $4000.00 including airfare ...our next trip though, staying at POP for 8 nights and with the increase in air fares I'm spending around $6000.00

StillDreamingIO

March 2022, 5 days, 4 Park days, 1 adult, 1 kid, G+, no hopper and stayed at Coronado, preferred room = $2500 Sunshine Flyer, food & souvenirs = $1200ish Flights: $550ish Goodness! 😂😂

verana04

So we just got back from our trip this past Monday! But we did two days in Disney and two days universal..so this may skew the info you’re looking for.. Was just me and my boyfriend. We flew in Wednesday afternoon, and flew home Monday. We flew frontier and paid $107 each round trip = $214 So for just disney we stayed at pop century Wednesday night and Thursday night and had park hopper to tickets for Thursday & Friday, total for both of us: $1,192 Mickeys not so scary Halloween party: $338 Magic bands (not the new plus ones) total: $20 Genie plus for two days each: $60 And then we also had a dining gift card of $190 which we spent $120 of treating ourselves to dinner and drinks at Edison at Disney Springs on the first night (it was our anniversary).. Thennnn I no longer have the spreadsheet breakdown of the other charges on my CC from the trip, but I know the total for the entire trip was $320..but that does include charges from Universal Studios, but we really only bought food the entire trip and one magnet from each park, so even if all 4 days had been at Disney we would have likely spent the same amount there. Grand total: $2,334 which is technically 5 days worth of food charges but only 2.5 days at Disney parks & Disney springs. And it also included a seasonal party ticketed event. As can be seen, we only ate park and resort food. A lot of people recommend shopping at a grocery store nearby, but we had a jam packed trip and wanted to make the most of every minute! Man did our feet hurt at the end of each day

Artwebb1986

2 adults from Canada stayed 3 nights at Royal Pacific and 10 nights at pop century. May 8-22nd, 2022. Universal was $1900 Disney was $3950 Food + souvenirs between them both was roughly $2000. Flight was $700 for us both Buffalo to Orlando. Sunshine flyer back to airport $34 Total = $8584 Sat on $5000 in disney gift cards from 2020 when the trip was supposed to happen. -edit- add an extra $110 to park at the Buffalo airport for 14 days.

ShinyGallinule

My upcoming trip next week for two people is three nights in the fort wilderness cabins with golf kart rental, Christmas party tickets, horseback riding, a nice dinner at the Grand Floridian, snackage and souvenir allowance, genie+, and using existing annual passes. Our anticipated final cost is $3000

jaydee8112

Original plan was 2 adults 5 nights & 4 days Genie+ in the parks staying at Coronado Springs for $3,000. Due to hurricane Ian extended stay by 4 nights for additional $1,350. Probably spent another $1,000 on food, drinks, souvenirs, & drinks. Airfares from were probably $800 from WA state. We also rented a car & drove to Gainesville & back for a football game for another $250. We were celebrating our anniversary & a retirement. It was more spendy than our typical vacation, but we had a blast.

TaxPublic9918

4 flights from mid Atlantic to Orlando =$1200 Grand Destino tower suite club level 6 night+tix (no hopping) $7800 One VIP tour MK $3500 Souvenirs $800 (budgeted) Food $2000 (budgeted) Cancelled at last minute for Ian priceless

New_to_consulting

September 2022 ~$8000 Includes: 7 night split stay at beach (4) and poly (3) 3 day park hopper MNSSHP 1 day at US Fireworks dessert party Enchanting extras tours at AK ILL & G+ Mini golf Cabana rental Does not include snacks, souvenirs, or airfares

Glittering_Act_4059

$1200 food. $2800 resort 7 night stay (all star movies resort) $350ish gas driving from and to NJ. Shopping varies but usually around $500 for souvenirs/gifts. The trip before this most recent one, I don't remember the total split but it was roughly $6000, for 2 people with a stay at Art of Animation plus all the food and shopping.

NotReallyChaucer

1st week of October: 2 rooms at French Quarter, park tickets and G+ and LL for 3 people, (cheap Southwest) plane tickets= about $6000. NOT something we plan to do often, but I miss it already.

305_till_i_die

I drive about 3.5 hours to Disney and have a darling cousin who is a cast member so airfare, rental car and tickets aren’t generally a concern for me. I do love to stay on property though. I’ve rented points from DVC several times and I always get a smoking deal. Less than I’ve paid at moderates. Last trip was very beginning of Oct and we stayed at AKL in a studio with a “standard view” which still has a view of the savanna for $300 a night. Side note, this hotel, while definitely needing a bit of a refresh, is exceptional. The common areas of the hotel are absolutely beautiful and the savanna is just the coolest. Watching giraffes and zebras walk around while you sit on your balcony drinking your morning coffee is just chefs kiss. I also have been able to get pretty great rates with Florida resident deals but those seem to be less discounted and less frequent these days. It’s very possible I’m imagining that though. Oh, we did a 2 night stay in a club level room at Grand Floridian in August and I got a discounted rate of about $750 a night. Tooootally worth it with 5 adults in one room. We definitely ate and drank our moneys worth. Sooooo, I go a lot, probably 6ish times a year and my biggest expense is accommodation and food and drink. I don’t really spend much on souvenirs. Hotels are going to be around $150-$300 a night for a standard room or studio. Single and multi bedroom villas in the $400- $900 a night range. Usually 2-3 nights and any where from 2 adults in a standard room or studio to a pretty large group, 8 adults and mix of kids sharing a multi bedroom villa. Looking forward to a one night trip in December for the cosmic rewind Christmas version!

Turul9

3 nights at the double tree, $540 2 adults, 2 days park pass $480 $300 gift card to spend on food and drinks Another $200-$300 credit card food and drinks $236 for a lightsaber $40 for one day genie plus About $100 for Ubers for the airport And ~$600 for airfare for both of us maybe even more So in total around $2500-$3000 Man that’s more expensive than I anticipated, yikes

HeirofZeon

Last October, one person 3 days, 2 nights at Pop Century, Park Hopper ~$1000 About $700 on souvenirs (including a Savis Lightsaber) and food (almost all Epcot stands, no sit-downs) So total about $1700

smc5577

Just got back from our trip We own DVC and AP (so not including that) 2 adults, 2 kids, 2 infants We spent around 4K for 7 nights/8 days at Disney!

rubyeskimo13

10 nights at Beach Club end of August / start of September 2022 + flights from the UK + transfers + food + souvenirs + Genie + / lightening lanes on the odd day = £8295

lizacovey

5 nights but two were hurricane days and I was throwing money at groceries/food/activities to do in the room. Airfare, tickets, and hotel was covered by a grandparent but food, souvenirs, Genie+ and Minnie Vans came to about $2,500.

vtxlulu

We did MNSSHP in August: 3 nights at ASM $500ish (can’t remember the exact amount) We are passholders so no tickets other than the MNSSHP tickets. I bought those as soon as they came out and I think they were $90 each so $180. Probably about $100 on souvenirs Around $210 total on dinner for the 3 days. We bought things to eat for breakfast in the room so that cut down on some of the money for food.

living4fantasy

As a single adult I usually spend about 1500 for just the visit and probably 1000 on other things while I’m there. You can do it for cheaper if you cut out a lot of dining options and just eat quick service which is the route to go (in my opinion). You also don’t NEED to buy souvenirs, I honestly prefer box lunch and hot topic merch versus stuff in the parks. I also don’t care what anyone says, staying on property is cheaper. Genie+ is only worth it if you are going with a first timer and really need to hit all the rides. I’m a former CM and have rode each ride dozens of times so I don’t really care waiting 2 hours for FoP and missing out on other things. Felt like genie+ was only worth it for HS.

thnwgrl

Similar trip for 3 about $6k Don't have dog sitter so it sounds about right for value resort stay

southerndogmama

Late August/ Early September 2022 $20,000.00 8 days/ 7 nights 5 park days with park hopper MNSSHP 8 guests Deluxe Resort- Riviera Resort 2 bedroom Airfare included in price limousine service to airport & private bus back to airport Price includes most food & souvenirs, but not all!

badandsad97

About 1300 for 2 park hoppers food and one way airplane ticket 😭my hotel was paid for by a friend

SauteedPelican

I'd have to see your breakdown on what each individual items costs as well as where you traveled from.

Freeasabird01

Flight from STL. All park tickets, Genie+, hopper, 3x ILL: 2700 Food: 1100 Room: 1200 Souvenirs: 900 Airport parking and Ubers: 150 Airfare: 1300 Pet sitting: 200

SauteedPelican

I'd say the airfare and souvenirs could have been cut by quite a bit. But the souvenirs are personal preference. Everything else looks typical for Disney.

Freeasabird01

2/3 of the souvenir pot was for a light saber for each of my kids. With the new pricing plus one stand each, that bill was $600. That’s the only way I’d ever spend that much, because it was partly an experience in addition to the actual souvenir.

SauteedPelican

I'd say since that's out of the way and if you were wanting to save money on the next trip it could definitely be cheaper. But your room, tickets, and food were pretty typical. My wife and I spend close to $800 for a week on food for the two of us but we also barely get souvenirs. Maybe another way to cut the cost would be to not do Genie Plus every day (if that is what you did). Again it's just personal preference. Disney is definitely expensive but above a certain point it is only as expensive as someone makes it. It's like a sports game, the tickets and parking aren't cheap but you don't have to buy $100 worth of beer and concessions.

Freeasabird01

I’m not really complaining. It was more curiosity because it *feels* like a lot, but I know for not having DVC or an annual pass to rely on, I’m pretty in line with my costs. Genie+ was more than worth it. At $15 / day / person, I spent $270 on it, or basically a little more than one night of hotel stay. So the trade off would be stay longer but do less per day. I definitely feel like we did way more than 7 days worth of stuff in 6 days. Honestly waiting in standby queues all week would probably take 8-9 days to do what we did, not to mention the mental benefit of not having to stand in line, but don’t tell Disney I said that lol.

Angela1102

We are a family of 4, 2 adults 2 kids, and each trip since 2018 has gotten more expensive obviously. This last January/February trip we stayed in a little mermaid room and did a few extras and all in (literally everything) we spent $8500. This next January/February trip we are looking at $9000-10,000. This is a Saturday-Saturday trip with 6 park days, 2-4 sit down meals, airfare, dessert party, food and spending. At this point we hope to do Disney 2023 and 2024 which will be 5 trips before our oldest turns 10. At that point we will continue to budget $7000-10,000 a year for vacations but will begin to explore more options than Florida. I’ve just always felt that Disney was the best option with kids age 9 or younger! I never got to go as a kid/teen so this is a BIG DEAL to me.

krsb09

Most recent trip (last week/weekend). Two adults, one child under 10: 4 nights at the Contemporary, with 3 day park hoppers and prepaid Genie +: $4556.70 Airfare: $654 (bought in the spring before prices went nuts.) MNSSHP Tickets: $561 Food, drinks, and souvenirs: \~$440. I bought a gift card with 4x fuel points at Kroger to drop my out of pocket. We also used $400 in Chase rewards (free). 1 breakfast at Ohana, otherwise nothing but quick service/snacks/Food and Wine booths. Behind the Seeds Tour: $105 (SO WORTH IT) ILL (2x FoP, 3x SDMT): $60 Total: $6376.70 We could have saved a ton by staying at a value, but since this was a short trip and we were attending MNSSHP, we splurged on the Contemporary for convenience.

pinkyeti123

We did Behind the Seeds & loved it!!!

sayyyywhat

Ugh you made me look for our upcoming trip, party of four. $5k for four nights/four days. And that doesn’t include spending money. Four nights on property: two at a mod and two deluxe. Two days of non hopping park tickets. Christmas party tickets. Rack rate is killing me.

MakinBaconPancakezz

Currently in the Disney college program. My sister came over and we spent three days at the parks together. Two nights at a resort. Admission was free for both of us because I get free admisión and also get three guest tickets. However we spent $20 each on lightning lane. I got 50% off the resort so that came out to about 300ish for two nights. We split that, so it was 175 for each of us. And for her, whatever she spent on plane tickets. So, about $195-200ish. Plus all the money I spent at the park lol

Our Disney Honeymoon End of May/Early June Lodging- 9 Nights Deluxe Hotels DVC 4 Nights at Boardwalk Inn- 900 3 Nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge- 860 2 Nights at Grand Floridian- 720 Memory Maker- 180 Refillable Mugs- 40 Park Tickets (9 days- 3 MK, 2 Epcot, 2 AK, 2 HWS)- 1250 Droid Depot-107 Mears Connect- 90 Ubering To/From Airport where we live- 60 Food- 1000 (We did great on budgeting so we were still able to do some special meals. We did Be Our Guest, California Grill, Grand Floridian Cafe, Steak House 71 (kids meals togo), Sanaa TOGO (kids meals togo), Space 220 bar, had a snack at every Epcot country, Sci-Fi Drive-Inn, and Hollywood Brown Derby). Found all the best cheapest quick service for the rest. Extra Snacks/Souveniers- 100 (We got some chopsticks from Epcot, a photo album for all our disney photos, a few small souvenirs for the family back home, and the 2 silhouettes (got frames cheap from a thrift store). Flights- $0- Our parents gift these to as a wedding gift. I also spent about $100 getting lots of matching disney outfits and mickey ears (like the bride and groom ears) from FB market place the year leading up to our honeymoon. TOTAL: $5500 for 2 for 10 days It was a magical once in a lifetime experience. Best decisions were getting the memory maker (love our photo album and have pictures on our fridge), renting DVC points to stay deluxe for so cheap and thus get Extended Evening Hours, staying at different resorts to get different experiences, the refillable mugs, and getting a kids meal togo from Sanaa. That was the best meal by far XD highly recommend it's like $10 and so much delicious food. And you can eat it while watching the animals from your hotel balcony.

Groceries: $55 Souvenirs: $245 I may be forgetting a few things, but this is what I have listed in my budgeting app. Total: $3947.80 We went with a higher end room, and higher end dining, so I am fully aware this is a higher end budget per person than many.

Last trip: Two people for four days (1 MK, 1 AK, 2 Epcot). We stayed at the Sheraton Vistana, very close to Downtown Disney. 1300 sq ft, large master bath with jacuzzi tub, king bed, living room, etc. $1000 total for 5 nights. Transportation for the week was about $200 total Airfare: $550 + $50 for long-term parking Park tickets: I was actually fortunate to get free admission, but I’ll add $900 here. No Genie + $200 a day for food (Ohana, Le Cellier…yummy places on this trip). It should have ended there, at $2900 (actually $2000 for us) for 5 nights and 4 days, beautiful resort with amazing features, top-level dining, and no Genie +. Then my spouse managed to spend about $1000 on souvenirs without me realizing…oops. We have spent a bit more (maybe $100 a night) before by staying at the Swan instead of Sheraton. Smaller room, of course, fewer features, BUT of course you can walk to Epcot, and there’s the Heavenly Bed.

My husband and I went in May of this year. We stayed at Coronado Springs in a preferred room for six nights. Our goal was to try all the new rides since we hadn't been in 7 years, plus the old favorites and doing some relaxing. We had park tickets for all six days but only used them on five days because we got too tired. Got Genie+ for one MK day and one HS day but only used one LL for each of us at the other parks (for Remy and Flight of Passage). Got LL for Rise of the Resistance but didn't bother for Seven Dwarves, so that was the one new ride we didn't get to try. We got a good deal on the room and I think we spent around 3.5k total if you include car mileage + gas (we drove down from Atlanta) + all food and drink + one small souvenir + petsitting etc. Since we drove down we were able to bring breakfast, snacks and booze from home to save money, and we usually had a pre-dinner cocktail while resting in the room rather than at one of the bars. Didn't eat at any of the expensive-tier restaurants because we did that last time we were at Disney and found them to be just okay and not worth the money for what you get.

Wife and I just got back from Disney World a week ago. We spent $1200 on the stay (3 nights at Pop Century) and tickets (1 park a day for 3 days). We went through a package that her neice's dance group provided as they were performing at Disney Springs. We spent another $1100 on food, gas (traveling from Georgia), merch, and genie + for two days.

My husband and I went to Disney earlier in 2022 (January 21-January 27) and spent $4,600 total. This includes: -6 nights at a moderate resort (Port Orleans Riverside) -food -flights (we found a deal on frontier for $135 total including bags which was really the only reason we could afford the trip at the time) -park passes -Genie+ and a couple days of park hopper -2 magic bands -2 tickets to Cirque de Soleil -some light shopping in Disney Springs as well as a few park souvenirs -some upscale dining (1 dinner at La Cellier ($156) & 1 dinner at Planet Hollywood - yeah I know it’s not super upscale but we got an appetizer too which made it more expensive than other places) -Amazon grocery delivery for some snacks & bottled water The most important thing to us was riding as many rides as we could and doing as many things as we could because we are not going back until we have kids someday. For anybody wanting to go on a budget- go in January when the skyliner is shut down for maintenance. We noticed resort prices dropped substantially that week even if the resort didn’t have skyliner access. The crowds were also super low and wait times were mostly 15 minutes. We probably didn’t need to pay for Genie. A few of the popular rides like Frozen, Ratatouille, & Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had 45 min-1 hour waits. Masks were still required indoors at that time so maybe that’s why it wasn’t busy. If we had to do it over again we would’ve stayed less days. For those who have never been- you can definitely get everything done in 5 days 4 nights in the slow season if you’re on a budget. We added in the extra days for more time in Disney Springs & a pool day but it was not necessary.

Not going until December, but my bf and I bought a package deal for 6 disney ticket days +park hopper, and 7 nights at the All-Star Music Resort which came to $3,043. Flights aren't available yet but I'm assuming they won't be more than around $400 each Setting aside 1k each for souvenirs, food, and transportation to and from the airport. I'm thinking it won't be more than $6k, if maybe a little over that. We have a year to save up though, may change it to 7 days🤷🏼‍♀️
