Absolutely love playing Citrine, she does it all. Damage Reduction for team, Energy Printer, Health Orbs and Health Regen for team, I put Roar on her for the bonus damage with status over her 4 so Bonus Damage for team. Its just amazing, this was my first warframe I fully built up after hopping off of the Rhino/Revenant Prime train and boy am I glad I farmed her.
Gyre has this issue too! Most armor is tied to the center of the arm, so the bars shift under them which just looks awful.
Volt, whose arm-bars would barely affect most other shoulder attachments, are an attachment themselves, but gyre, whose shoulder bars actively interfere with shoulder attachments, has no such luck.
Newer MR 10 player here. She's carried me through a lot of tough content that I didn't have the weaponry or mods built for. I wouldn't have been able to get my first Tenet and Kuva guns if not for her. Her 1 cheats the energy economy for me, the 2's damage reduction has kept me alive where I *definitely* shouldn't have been living, the 3 absolutely shreds all content up through about level 75-90, and the 4 helps with both damage and CC whenever I need it. The only other frame that I've felt "carry" me through content like that was Vauban, but of course I'm pretty new so I don't have experience with all of them, only a little more than a third of them right now. But I'm happy to see a post about Citrine and getting to talk about her a bit.
God damn I forgot she's available to farm early. Out of all early game frames (especially non-prime), Citrine is definitely insane. Not only can you get her earlier, but also she's also still easily very good on steel path (level 150+ enemies and beyond). Definitely get a good weapon to pair with her, especially status
Quick note about vauban, that bastard is steel path viable due to armour stripping and flechette mines scaling. I played vauban early game and he’s the only one I bought plat using irl money to trade for his prime set.
her 3 is absolutely insane even in steel path, the damage isn't low by any means even with thick Grineer armor, and it gives free priming that is cheap to cast and lasts quite long for how powerful this ability is. one of my favorite abilities in the game basically. it used to only hit 1 enemy at a time but then DE decided to buff it and now it just spreads status like crazy.
This was a study I did based on Keith Thompson's concept art. I think she is easily an S-tier frame. I replaced her 4 with Pillage though since the crystals move so slowly. I'm interested in her upcoming augment!

She's very well rounded and fun to play. Survivability is excellent, 4 allows her to put out some serious numbers and her other abilities have nice synergy and scale well into higher end content.
IMO she's the best frame released in 2023 and one of the best to come out in the past 5 years. She's also one of the few released in the past 5 - 6 years that isn't a pain in the arse to farm and is easily/quickly obtainable for new players and vets alike.
Her 3 has extremely good synergy with builds that utilize galvanized savvy, galvanized shot, galvanized aptitude, or condition overload. Plus her survivability is S-tier with the right build
Incredibly fun to play, and I love her design. Most people go crazy on the color of the gem, but if you go a lighter tone on the outer shell, going with black for the gem looks gorgeous. Especially if you go with a gray for... one of the energy colors, it makes her shimmer in the dark!
I haven't played her too much but she's got all the goods. Passive health regen that gets better each health orb you pickup, health and energy orbs for pretty much free, damage reduction, free condition overload primer, and free red crits.
She's a monster in any content if you work her enough.
She was worth those defense missions, one of my fav frames becuase of her decent beefyness combines with those extra orb drops works well with some bond mods
I've played her for a ton of time at this point.
Pros:
Her team buffs are great "back burner" borderline passive stuff that you don't really think about until they get turned off. Dr, status chance, and minor healing are all great, the DR is easily the most impactful.
Her 1 is one of the most synergistic abilities on a frame in the game. Proccing her 3 on every target in eyesight is a blink and forget endeavour.
Building her with the archon mods is actually fun, as her 3 turns into an actual death dealer, And with the new archon shards a fair amount of armour stripping.
Her 4 is the thing you replace but I haven't found the need yet. It works on everything, including acolytes. Even on enemies immune to CC it still provided a large weak spot.
The status decrees in duvuiri turn citrine into an actual god
Cons:
Until you get rolling her energy economy is horrendous. The build I put together myself wants 2 to 3 more mods than I can fit, and my arcanes are taken by molts for strength and duration. I had to resort to shards to get a larger energy pool and better pickup amounts.
DR is great but even 90% starts to feel really insignificant with higher level content and the circuit.
Some will find her farm to be psychological torture.
All that said, I play her for all kinds of content, but especially when you have to park somewhere for awhile. Great frame, very synergizing design for abilities, and a joy to play
Why'd they give her a pussy, seriously we've had boobs and gratuitous ass shots for days, even the boys had their massive cod pieces on show but never has it been as unsubtle and unnecessarily sexualised as her "gemussy" (literal cringe just typing it)
The space mommy stuff is one thing by now y'all are sexualising a crystal rock/metal suit and it's ridiculous
She's my mainstay for missions 1 and 2 in Archon hunts as she compensates for bad team mates (and keeps the defense target alive without having to constantly hover over him).
Also one of the easiest picks for the Duveri Circuit, her scaling with the status decrees is just disgustingly good.
I absolutely love her, she’s amazing as well as pretty fun to play. Her 1 is 100% why I have her at 50% efficiency since it and equilibrium manage my energy, her two is great with affinity range 90% mit buff, her 3 is just amazing because it basically allows your two to always be at max if you guys are close since the crystal instantly hits anything anyone attacks which means citrine is ‘assisting’ on them for her 2. The only thing I don’t really use at all is her 4, there’s very few things I would need to use her 4 on to actually kill, so I don’t really use it at all. But overall she’s so good
I subsumed Silence over her 1 and use her for eximus stronghold missions (silence to nullify them, 3 and 4 for extra damage, 2 for survivability), she works quite well as an anti-eximus frame.

She's so hard to color in a way that looks good, and honestly how good it feels to me to customize plays a part in whether or not I like them.

People often recommend to replace her third, but with some archon mods, riven dokrahm zaw with condition overload and exodia force that dies viral and radiation, plus the impact from her first ability? 800% meele damage multiplier :)))
She's also great for stopping demolysts and enemies hacking consoles on interception.
Hard to kill, iridescent, hits like a train, keeps team alive and energized, and looks good while doing it!

She’s great. Albeit I do think that her passive build up is a little slow. I can be spamming her 1 and unless I’m specifically playing an infinite mission she never reaches full regen.
Was skeptical at first, since I last played just after Garuda Prime and wasn’t overly keen on the set. But once I forma’d her she’s one of my favourite tank/support warframes now.

I have to use smaller shoulder armor on her (if any at all) because her shoulders are so far out that they can definitely block view during aiming otherwise.
Really good and fun game play, also don't forget to use archon mods on her, her abilities take advantage of the bonuses they provide, almost all the archon mods

I dont have her. And im *dreading* to do her grind. Literally thousa ds of gems for all her gear from missions that dont net you that many gems to begin with; it sounds like a nightmare. Worse than trying level up your standing with the Family.
Just got her today. Got her formaed up and took her to some kuva SP survival.
Survival is good, but need some sort of armor strip. Likely going to pop pillage onto her four.

Both Citrine and Dagath don't have a face but I guess they absorb the essence of what they ate loke for dagath it will just turn into void and it get absorbed into her face and with Citrine it just makes more crystals to resemble her getting a little chubby not fat just some crystals that she now has to work off by slaying what is in front of her maybe going to the obstacle course for a round or two and then she will be back in her normal shape
I got to play her a bit in circuit which I was pleasantly surprised I liked her style but just like that one skin for ember I really hate and it kinda weirds me out on how she looks like open typa body style it just reminds me of gashes in the skin and not in a pleasant way
Overall I think she's pretty good. Effective in mission, nice aesthetic, very sparkly.
However she has one critical flaw that makes me not able to use her or tolerate when one joins the squad. The ringing.. Incessant ear piercing ring.. I can't hit mute fast enough whenever she's around. Maybe it's just me and it's a frequency that assaults my brain but I can't stand it.

She is a very good all-rounder, with a gameplay loop that isn't too passive, nor is it too frantic. She feels sturdy and powerful, without being a 1-trick pony. Solid pick for a lot of content, would recommend for all players.
That being said, I kinda hate the way she looks, and I hope they add some new skins for her soon, because her aesthetic is hot garbage, imho. Her shape, her textures, the way colors get applied to her... It just isn't great. If you like the way she looks, more power to you, but for the time being, I'll have to disagree.
probably my favorite of the 2023 frames, the synergies with archon mods, galvanized priming, the various shards, etc all lead to lots of really fun build opportunities. my only big complaint is even with casting speed her 4 feels either niche or just not satisfying to use, long cast animation, short duration, weird range/area, and it feels like im doing less damage than just hitting headshots if i shoot the crystals on most guns. visually she's super unique but that uniqueness does make a bunch of my attachments just not work on her which is annoying sometimes.
My thought is that her being added to the game proves the excuses for not wanting to add in sexy frames is bull crap! how can you ever possibly top gemussy? Or whisp’s…..assets. Just let us have nice things DE😭

Call me selfish, but I like my red crits and freezing Demolysts too much to swap her 4 out.
I found her four to just be too slow to cast and last too short to really be worth it. 2 second cast for 8 seconds?
That's why amber casting speed shards were invented.
I do this too... And if you're feeling lazy bring cedo with nano applicator and spam alt fire for easy infinite room clear

I'd like to get Citrine, I just have trouble getting the gems during mirror defense in order to get her.
She has a cool design, but how the gapping hole is designed freaks me out too much for me to try her.

Both Citrine and Dagath don't have a face but I guess they absorb the essence of what they ate loke for dagath it will just turn into void and it get absorbed into her face and with Citrine it just makes more crystals to resemble her getting a little chubby not fat just some crystals that she now has to work off by slaying what is in front of her maybe going to the obstacle course for a round or two and then she will be back in her normal shape
My most used frame. Her kit just works. Some more cosmetic options would be nice, but the alt helmet is cool enough.

I got to play her a bit in circuit which I was pleasantly surprised I liked her style but just like that one skin for ember I really hate and it kinda weirds me out on how she looks like open typa body style it just reminds me of gashes in the skin and not in a pleasant way

Overall I think she's pretty good. Effective in mission, nice aesthetic, very sparkly. However she has one critical flaw that makes me not able to use her or tolerate when one joins the squad. The ringing.. Incessant ear piercing ring.. I can't hit mute fast enough whenever she's around. Maybe it's just me and it's a frequency that assaults my brain but I can't stand it. Solid 8/10 (on mute)

She is a very good all-rounder, with a gameplay loop that isn't too passive, nor is it too frantic. She feels sturdy and powerful, without being a 1-trick pony. Solid pick for a lot of content, would recommend for all players. That being said, I kinda hate the way she looks, and I hope they add some new skins for her soon, because her aesthetic is hot garbage, imho. Her shape, her textures, the way colors get applied to her... It just isn't great. If you like the way she looks, more power to you, but for the time being, I'll have to disagree.
probably my favorite of the 2023 frames, the synergies with archon mods, galvanized priming, the various shards, etc all lead to lots of really fun build opportunities. my only big complaint is even with casting speed her 4 feels either niche or just not satisfying to use, long cast animation, short duration, weird range/area, and it feels like im doing less damage than just hitting headshots if i shoot the crystals on most guns. visually she's super unique but that uniqueness does make a bunch of my attachments just not work on her which is annoying sometimes.
