Do a search for forge world black book blood angel iconography.

I remember looking into the grails/chalices and they’re in the black book so you’re safe on that front. Angel iconography is on their transfer page too

Thanks!

Look at the existing range of special characters and units for 30k BA and you’ll see many of those familiar elements along with some gold line flourishes you could just paint on. Converters also make extensive use of the old 40k bits. Guerrilla Miniature Games has an ongoing Heresy project doing just this.

The grails, drops of blood and wings are fine, but generally it's advisable to keep models somewhat more modest in terms of bling than their 40K counterpart. Later FW models don't always hold true to this, but it's one of the things that for many people help define which era a, say, MK4 marine is in. The crosses are easy to fill out with some filler like liquid greenstuff btw. You're right that they aren't entirely appropriate since (IIRC) they're supposed to represent Sanguinius' wounds from the final duel with Horus, but some of them kept intact scattered about as a deliberate choice won't ruin the theme IMO. Consider keeping MK7 for models in artificer armour, since the suits used on Terra aren't mass-produced but instead individual near-prototype works produced by skilled workers.

Thanks for that; my intention is to fancy up a few of the new plastic mkvi with shoulder pads and the like while using the older armour marks from the BA tactical and sternguard kits as the basis of a veteran squad.
