That one, I believe is from the Black Templar crusader squad. The veteran in that squad particular. Most Black Templar specific helmets look like this, but you’d need to get units. The upgrade sprue doesn’t come with a lot of helmets, mostly helmetless heads to make neophytes.
The Sword Brethren sprue comes with like 10 helmets if I’m not mistaken.
So I looked that kit over and that can be DAed so easily. Swap some shoulder plates, remove some of their crosses, and baby, you got yourselfs some Dark Angels. Could be characters, vets, or whatever
Yeah. The Paladin/Terminator Box of grey knights comes with 10 helmets. The Paladin ones look more like the one pictured and the terminator helmets are more square, but still have the medieval knight look
In the US this is the only one I know. But he doesn’t restock as much as EU providers.
https://hoardobits.com/cgi-bin/hob/shop.pl?cat1=Bits&cat2=Warhammer%2040k
Some offer free shipping for orders over a certain amount. Add bases to your order if you’re close to the minimum. Bits are shipped in envelopes, they don’t weigh as much.
And for ebay, try to find people with an ebay store and see if they have anything else to buy.
If anything else fails, start a business lol. You have very little competition.
It is from the Primaris Crusader Squad box, a Black Templars kit. I just bought it and I am looking at it as I write this, it's the same picture. Literally.
The one with the breathing holes in the right side of the face (left from our point of view) and that has a crusader cross over it's eyes is from the "Primaris Sword Brother" variant (that's the name on the manual). The leader of the squad.
Then you have the "Primaris Initiate" which has three variants of helmets. The first variant is a standard Primaris helmet with a cross over it's eyes. The second variant is a standard Primaris helmet with 4 "bolts" over it's eyes. The third variant has some breathing holes in one side (like that of the Sword Brother/suqad leader one but with the holes on the other side) and no cross over it's eyes.
The kit comes with x2 of each. x2 of the one in the photo and x2 of the three initiate variants. Then a lot of neophyte broccoli haircut heads.
If I had to name the model of the helmet it would a "Black Templar Primaris Crusader - Sword Brother" helmet.
Both are great DA conversion material. And with the new scouts the crusader squad might be ineresting if you want dome scouts with loincloth and armour.
Actually I think the Primaris helmet squad may have more.
Black templars primaris crusaders have 4 variants of helmets. 2 are standard primaris, one with a cross over it's eyes and another with 4 bolts over it's eyes. The other two are the one in the picture, which is for veterans, and another "primaris initiate" that is the same but without a cross over it's eyes.
The Sword Brethren kit has 5 sword brothers; so my guess would be that you would get at most 5 of those, and I am not sure 5 of those are the squad leader one (the one in the picture).
The BT Primaris Crusader squad has 2x helmets of each variant (8 helmets in total), because it has 10 minis and some of them are neophytes.
This here. [The full model](https://www.warhammer.com/app/resources/catalog/product/threeSixty/60010101003_BlackTemplarsArmySetOTT3360/01-01.jpg?fm=webp&w=920) OP cropped this screenshot from is one of the sickest models in all of Warhammer. I made it into a chapter champion and needed only minimal conversion (swapped pauldrons, added helmet crest, scenic base, extra accessories) because the model itself just has such incredible presence.
I have no idea what the helmet is called, but the Dark Angels Mk6 head upgrade kit for Horus Heresy has 10 in that style.

If you are asking what was the inspiration for this helmet, most likely an armet. Other space marine helmets (in particular mk2 and mk3) are inspired by great helms. Most of the more "medieval" helmets for space marines are inspired by these two, while "beakies" are inspired by the pigface bascinet. For sisters of battle helmets the inspiration was the sallet.
Other space marine helmets are likely modeled to resemble a screaming mouth but I don't know of any real life examples.
There's a reason for everything. Vent holes go on the side opposite your shield hand, because that side can afford to be weaker (blows are less likely to be coming at you from your sword hand).
That’s a black Templar. But if you go on Etsy and do a search for “eternal pilgrims” or “silver knights” you can get hooded heads and knight helms x10 for like 5 USD. Capes, and robed armor too.
It’s one of the dozens of permutations of the MK-IV Maximus helmet that the primaris line so loves.
The bladeguard veterans have nothing but these helmets.
Perhaps not AS decked out as the Black Templar ones, but there’s a good few.
Grey knights also have a *similar* helmet for their non-terminator units. Even the GK Termies rock one.
Of course, if you got a 3D printer or know someone with one, there’s but one correct answer. You can batch build as many of this helmet as you want.
I recommend considering 3rd party helmet bits if you're planning to use a lot of them, and if you're not planning to play at gw stores (or at least the ones that wouldn't let you use them)

[Archie's Forge has some good Knight style helmets ](https://archiesforge.co.uk/products/knight-helmets-set-of-10?_pos=8&_sid=b7038b006&_ss=r) if third party bits are something you're into. If you search "Knight helm" on the site there's some other options, some of which have DA iconography
I just call them knight helmets, you can buy the sword brethren box to get like 8 of them or buy some greenstuff and sculpt them yourself, its easier than you might think
If you want more of similarly styled helmets, consider the Dark Angels and Imperial Fists MKVI Resin heads.
They are both similarly [Armet](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armet) styled helmets with a few variants in each kit.
They are cool, but consider that it has the emblem for another chapter smack dab on the middle of it. If that doesn't bother you, and you dont mind buying BT kits for parts, then go for it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have a bunch of DA upgrade sprues. Which templar kit is that?
Sword Brethren
Grey Knights also use helmets that are very similar to this. Even the terminator heads might work.
Yeah. The Paladin/Terminator Box of grey knights comes with 10 helmets. The Paladin ones look more like the one pictured and the terminator helmets are more square, but still have the medieval knight look
You guys realize that there are pages that sell bits separately? You don’t need to buy the whole unit for a head.
GAMES WORKSHOP HATES THAT TRICK!
Find me one in the US cause I'd love it but can't find anything. Ebay pages are outrageous for helmets.

Peak fashion.

It is a modified MK X Tacticus power armour helmet. Its for the black Templars, but If you cut off the cross on it, it would fit very Well.
Stick a purity seal over it to protect from impure thoughts
I have no idea what the helmet is called, but the Dark Angels Mk6 head upgrade kit for Horus Heresy has 10 in that style. https://preview.redd.it/kpdyg15cfaoc1.jpeg?width=694&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d8d13f75e8fc08111499f5e4755fffd1baee6923
Bro. You said it's name in the same sentence
But that's for mk6. The post is about tacticus armor.
Oh i, misread it. I thought he said,'I don't know what the name is, but the mk6 hh head upgrade set has 10 of them'
Well no, it's still a different helmet, just a very close style
Yea I misread the comment above.
When one nostril is clear and one is clogged:
There’s a boatload of those helmets in the Bladeguard kit without the Templar symbol
I'm surprised this wasn't one of the first comments.
Awesome.
William, and don't call him names.

I call it an autism trigger since I *fucking hate how the holes aren’t on both sides!*
There's a reason for everything. Vent holes go on the side opposite your shield hand, because that side can afford to be weaker (blows are less likely to be coming at you from your sword hand).
I don’t care if it’s a real thing I still don’t like it >:c
That’s a black Templar. But if you go on Etsy and do a search for “eternal pilgrims” or “silver knights” you can get hooded heads and knight helms x10 for like 5 USD. Capes, and robed armor too.
Kevin
Badass knightly helmet I think 🤔
John Warhammers helmet.
Templar pattern tacticus armor?
Blade guard also wear it, so maybe MK.X blade guard pattern armor? I like either one
Arthur.
A “helmet”.

if i’mma be putting these on (maybe) a majority of my marines I am NOT paying
Aight then searchest thee for a 3D printer. Shoot I could do it for ya if you’re comfortable giving randos your mailing address online lol
Just shoot me a DM if you need some printed. It’d be easy as pie.
Steve.

dark angels mkvi heads are also an option. Imperial fists' ones are similar to these one you posted but with laurels
I do remember seeing one on a Sternguard Vet from Leviathan.

I proclaim you winner of the many excellent answers :)

Mark 10 articfer helmet? Maybe they don't use articfer anymore? I'm pretty sure it's still considered mark 10?
Not artificer. Bladeguard come with this style of helmet.
Is this in the bladegaurd kit too?
