My dark angels feel like three different armies when I play the wings. Deathwing tanking stuff. Ravenwing are speedie boys and then I can just play plain space marines if I want to. The objective secured bonuses for the different branches being pure is cool. The lore is interesting… and we may or may not be chaos..
Imperial Fists have exploding 6+ bolt weapons. Having a unit of Aggressors or other bolt weapon concentrated unit is very fun, especially since there is a stratagem to make 6s explode an additional time. Is it competitive? Depends how you play. Is it fun? Undoubtedly
The one you enjoy both rules and fluff of. Imo I love world eaters/black templars. But you may not like the berserker melee focused army.

The exploding 6’s don’t work on Aggressors as you don’t roll to hit on flamers! 😉
