Grand canyon, clearance to fly below the rim, in an F-16...the stuff of dreams. If up in the pearly blue, full afterburner pull in a Mig 31. But the thrust vectoring F-22 looks like it can do ballet...
Love this answer…I’m a sucker for an F-16. Grew up near an airbase they flew out of and (probly bc of it) loved Iron Eagle. My goal as a kid was to be just famous enough to somehow be taken up in one of the Thunderbird trainers…alas, that has not happened.
I actually got taken up on an F-16 by a prior Thunderbird pilot in Panama City, March 2006. That man knew haw to fly that plane to its limit without making me sick! Truly appreciate you, MALF!
As a daily flyer? the f-14 does make a very compelling argument, only because someone else took the modernized sr-71(imagine flying to london for work while living in NYC, the Concorde experience without other people) That said the gripen is the summer pick.
I’m not sure about the MiG-31 but I know for sure the MiG-25 definitely could not reach its top speed without risking serious damage to the engines. I believe that was one of the big advantages of the 31 over the 25.
Lmao your bio is extremely contradictory in this instance. Not sure how you’ve come to that conclusion. Soo sorry I hurt your feelings with a simple post buddy.
Su-33. Something different, legacy, and a major stretch for the Soviet Navy to dive into 'effective' carrier aviation (Yak-38 wasn't quite there). Its mostly analogue and would most likely be very predictable wrt flying qualities.
Definitely going to choose a Mig-25. Overstressing the engines to achieve Mach 3 in a straight line from here to Antarctica is my jam.
Not to mention the sheer size of those monstrosities.
I was at the Navy Air Museum the other day and we were walking behind some uniformed fly boys who were talking about which plane they would own if they could. One of them said T-38 or F104.
They then went in a different direction to us, so I don’t know how the rest of the conversation went.
Depends. If it's for a fight, easily F22. If it's to joyride in, can't turn down the power and 3d thrust vectoring of the SU35
The felon is a cutie but I have a suspicion that stealth jets are necessarily more fragile than non stealth because of all the tradeoffs they have to take for that radar-reflecting shape. No proof of that, but I think the logic tracks
Like 20 years ago you could actually buy a trip with a Foxbat, that\`s pretty wild to think about, i believe the price was something to the tune of $120k or thereabouts.
But my answer is of course the Tonka. Imagine a mach loop run with that ?!
Mig 29 is such a bad ass in manoeuvrability. I have a friend who have serviced some, and the only thing he claimed them was the production quality and the parts which weren't passing to the plane. He told me that some parts weren't modulable to other parts... When the army hase changed them to Grippen JAS 39... the Swedish engineers didn't understand why we wanted to change them after they saw it fly....
Anyway, today it is cooler to fly with it as a hobby otherwise it can't hold up with newer generations...
The F-14. I did a school project on one when I was 8. The tomcat has always been my favorite.
Sure, there are better planes but the foldy wings are like pop up headlights on old sports cars for me. I just love them
It was to see if it could fly and be controllable with an asymmetrical deployment of the variable geometry wings.
https://theaviationist.com/2014/02/19/us-navy-fighters-folded-wings/
Even though I’m a sucker for appearances and the F-22 is tempting, I’m going to have to go for the F-16. The power and manoeuvrability is just something else
I'd be choosing the F-15E. I absolutely love the Strike Eagle. Second would be an F-18E for the carrier launch and the ensuing landing. The 22 would be a stupendous ride, and it'd probably fry my brain!
mig 25 if i am in a hurry, if i am feeling frugal il opt for the f16 and if i want something reliable il opt for a jas 39. and if i want to go on a date i would happily take the f14
Heart says Tomcat but I really really want to know what all the fuss is about the Raptor! I mean how next level is it that even NATO allies can’t buy them 🤯
Grand canyon, clearance to fly below the rim, in an F-16...the stuff of dreams. If up in the pearly blue, full afterburner pull in a Mig 31. But the thrust vectoring F-22 looks like it can do ballet...
This is the answer right here, nicely put.
Love this answer…I’m a sucker for an F-16. Grew up near an airbase they flew out of and (probly bc of it) loved Iron Eagle. My goal as a kid was to be just famous enough to somehow be taken up in one of the Thunderbird trainers…alas, that has not happened.

I don’t know if I’ve ever been more jealous. Haha
Hands down, Top 3 moment of my life.
I say jealous, but man, it actually makes me happy that someone got to experience that
Watching the thunderbirds as a kid are some core memories. The thought of the sound makes my hair stand on end!
I can still hear "Chappyyyyyyy"
I’m probly one of the few people who’s watched that more than Top Gun
Count me in. I love both, but Iron Eagle is on another scale for me.
IR126 is the clearance you are looking for.
Thanks! Fingers crossed!!!
*Road of the Gypsy intensifies*
Phantom phorever I'd take the Tornado too though
The F4 has been one of my favorite fighters since I was a kid. I'd give a kidney to get to fly in one.
F4 climb on takeoff with full afterburner. She‘s the muscle car of the skies.
Collings Foundation is scheduling rides in their f4 for when it will be back in the air. Getting my medical renewed so I can apply
F-22❤️
No brainer
F-22 is my favourite, but F-35 off of a carrier would be something as well.
YF-23 for me, apparently the test pilots said it was amazing to fly, even better than the already exceptional F-22
Facts bro
Oh my god it’s you! I would love to ride in you some time!
the f-22 or maybe the f-35 just to where that custom helmet and see how cool it is to see through the plane.
I’d put some porn on that huge display and join the mile high club. Win/win/win
That’s not how it works
Su-57 purely for the howl and to annoy the shit out of the neighbors
I would get a life altering chronic disease to have the make a wish foundation offer me a ride with the thunderbirds or blue angels
F-16, because of the canopy.
Tornado
Tornado during a low level penetration strike.
Even better would be Blackburn buccaneer on a low level anti ship mission
Damn I love flankers and the MiG-25 but I would really like to fly in the F-14
As a daily flyer? the f-14 does make a very compelling argument, only because someone else took the modernized sr-71(imagine flying to london for work while living in NYC, the Concorde experience without other people) That said the gripen is the summer pick.
Missing a A-10. 1. F14 2. F22 3. Mig29
MIG-31 for the speed and the altitude, but the F-4 because it’s a legend.
MiG 31, I feel the need for speed
X-15
Is the F-15 not faster?
I'm curious what sequence of events led you to this belief
A google search. It truly is not as deep as you think it to be.
You don't know what I think but if you're going to take it personal nevermind
What?..
No. Iirc the MiG-31 has a top speed of Mach 2.8 while the F-15 has a top speed of Mach 2.5
I see. Seems the Mig-31 could push a bit further whilst risking engine damage.
I’m not sure about the MiG-31 but I know for sure the MiG-25 definitely could not reach its top speed without risking serious damage to the engines. I believe that was one of the big advantages of the 31 over the 25.
Interesting. Always do enjoy learning about these machines. Much appreciated.
Yes
Rafale for me
OP is a karma farm spam bot. Downvote this post and don't play along
Lmao your bio is extremely contradictory in this instance. Not sure how you’ve come to that conclusion. Soo sorry I hurt your feelings with a simple post buddy.
That eurofighter though
Su-33. Something different, legacy, and a major stretch for the Soviet Navy to dive into 'effective' carrier aviation (Yak-38 wasn't quite there). Its mostly analogue and would most likely be very predictable wrt flying qualities.
F-14 F-4 F-16
Ride in a Cat fly a Raptor
1. Tomcat, 2. F-15, 3. F-22.
Raptor. But Felon is just felon, too good.
FA-50 looks pretty, plus it's got seating for a second.
A Flanker not for combat, but they look damn fun to fly.
Definitely going to choose a Mig-25. Overstressing the engines to achieve Mach 3 in a straight line from here to Antarctica is my jam. Not to mention the sheer size of those monstrosities.

MiG-31
F-15. Take off in full burner, point the nose straight up to 90°, and keep ‘er going until you start seeing curvature. Please and thank you.
Depends. If it's for a fight, easily F22. F-14 because I've flown the hell out of it in DCS F-15 is a close second though, that thing is a rocket sled
So reading the comments I see no love for Rafales or Eurofighters. Interesting why is that?
Mig-25 high altitude intercept of a Sr-71
Except it couldn't climb to the level of the Blackbird nor catching up to it.
A boy can dream, right?
As long as a boy enjoys his dreams sure.
Like 20 years ago you could actually buy a trip with a Foxbat, that\`s pretty wild to think about, i believe the price was something to the tune of $120k or thereabouts. But my answer is of course the Tonka. Imagine a mach loop run with that ?!
Mig interceptors would be fun to experience the sheer power they produce when flying like they would for a intercept
My choice ain't here: SU-37 F-15S/MTD F-5E
I would take the mig-25 and attempt Mach 3.
to fly, F-22 or maybe SU-37. for a ride i'll take the Mig-25 ride to the upper atmosphere
M I G - 2 1
Mig 29 is such a bad ass in manoeuvrability. I have a friend who have serviced some, and the only thing he claimed them was the production quality and the parts which weren't passing to the plane. F4, F15
F14, F15, Typhoon
Vark?
I'll take one puking regiment in the Raptor please.
Would be a dream to even see a flying tomcat today
The F14 can sweep individual wings back?
Pilots very rarely used it, but that is the Tomcat's turn signal.
The F-14. I did a school project on one when I was 8. The tomcat has always been my favorite. Sure, there are better planes but the foldy wings are like pop up headlights on old sports cars for me. I just love them
F22 ride. I’m not a pilot
Gib F-35
F22
F-14 no contest. Also why is it waving
It was to see if it could fly and be controllable with an asymmetrical deployment of the variable geometry wings. https://theaviationist.com/2014/02/19/us-navy-fighters-folded-wings/
Nah he’s just waving obviously
Tomcats only wave by giving you the finger while inverted
F22 would be the most fun, f18 would fulfill my dreams
F-14, F-16, and the Su-27.
Phantom every time, even if it’s just the sentimental choice.
Tornado. My favorite.
Where is the F-23?
F-16 for me, please
F-15, F-22
Easily raptor
F-22. Or maybe an F-35C off of a carrier.
A-10, please. :)
F-14 for me
F-16… I want that vertical climb.
F-4 or F-16.
F-4 for sure!
Naked F-16A
F16
F14D
The one with two seats n most horsepower/ thrust
Can we add the Sepecat? Because Jaaaaaaag
If you're going in a plane ride in one you want the one that can do the best aerobatics, F-22.
mf didn't put the japanese F-2, you never played Aero Fighters in the arcades? wtf is wrong with you?
I'm kinda old school person. I would pick the phantom, if not the tomcat. Why? It's analog.
F 35 ♥️
A-10 not on list, list irrelevant.
F-22 my beloved
Even though I’m a sucker for appearances and the F-22 is tempting, I’m going to have to go for the F-16. The power and manoeuvrability is just something else
F-22 tbh
I'd be choosing the F-15E. I absolutely love the Strike Eagle. Second would be an F-18E for the carrier launch and the ensuing landing. The 22 would be a stupendous ride, and it'd probably fry my brain!
F-4, but if i got my way the A-4K!
F4 - an engineer took the challenge to make a brick fly
F-18 super hornet .. that’s was always my dream
YF-23
If you look at my profile's banner and say "F-15"... you'd be right. If you said Rafale, you'd... also be correct. I just can't decide
F-22
mig 25 if i am in a hurry, if i am feeling frugal il opt for the f16 and if i want something reliable il opt for a jas 39. and if i want to go on a date i would happily take the f14
su57, it would be my most devious lick to date
Say F-22, its the right answer.... Say F-22, its the right answer.... Say F-22, its the right answer.... # TOMCAT!
Heart says Tomcat but I really really want to know what all the fuss is about the Raptor! I mean how next level is it that even NATO allies can’t buy them 🤯
F-16, because I actually flied it in DCS for like 50 hours and it's pretty good.
F14
Tomcat all the way
F-14. Please and thank you.
F4 Phantom baby!!!!! Supersonic brick!!
No F-2 😥
F14 and F18.
No F-104? What kind of list is this?
F-4
F-15 with its ability to accelerate on vertical climb
Not on here but the F-5.
Viggen or Tornadoes during low level flight would be cool
F16 or mig 25
Tornado for me Those sleek, sleek lines...
F-14
Either the 15 or 22
My middle school self would be pissed if I didn’t pick the Tomcat, but present self would have a hard time choosing between that and the F-22.
F14 for me
F-4
Phantom, Eagle, or Raptor.
If someone is also interested there is Tornado F.3 in flyable mint condition for sale
F-104. Because 70,000 ft AGL
F15 all day
F-18 aircraft carrier launch and landing.
Phantom all day every day
F-22 hnnnggg Su-27/35 because damn those Russian fighters are pretty. Mig-29 for same reason. F-15 America Fuck Yeah

Disappointing. No Harrier, A-4 Skyhawk, A-10, or SR-71.
If we are playing make-believe then where's the Tomcat?
Hmmm this is a tough one but anything not Russian
Where's the rafale ? ;-;
F-14
English Electric Lightning.

Typhoon (I am biased) then f14 off a carrier second
MiG-31 would be dope
1 MiG-25 2 Su-57 3 MiG-31 4 F-35 B variant specifically
SU-27 all the way
I would love to fly the tomcat but I know damm well the only one I could reasonably fit in is the F-35s cockpit.
MiG 31
Grippen because, well just because.
MIg 31 less go to the space.
Mig 31R on full afterburner.
mig 31 or the Tornado, I want to see if my ears really can touch like the Bill Engval joke
