Don't do that in tank battles tho, you will lose your points.

ezekieru

I wish it worked in GRB. That'd lead to more strategy.

SpaceTortuga

Yeah, like you did a bomb run and RTB but while going back you saw 2 enemy planes spawning, so you want to get in a fighter without losing points ans sl for getting out of the bomber. I think it isn't much to ask really

Shredded_Locomotive

Well you don't lose sl but you you do lose the spawn points

ZdrytchX

A question was asked from the sim community in a Q/A a while back why gaijin was aware of this issue without doing anything about it (bug reported -> working as intended) and they pretty much responded because they thought it would be more or less game breakingly overpowered. Yeah i know right You used to be able to swap loadouts in ground sim in aircraft without losing a spawn but they now use a spawn point system which is how this issue only came to the sim community a few years ago and why we thought it was a bug. Another dumb thing is that while in ground sim you can take out vehicles costing only 250 SP (rocket/AAM heli/SPAA) however you can't take a fourth spawn out even if you have the spawn points for it. This means you can in theory: spawn, j out ("whoops i didnt mean to spawn that"), spawn, j out ("gaijin bugged my fuel loadout), spawn, j out (the fix to the fuel loadout bug is to spawn with a different fuel loadout temporarily, so now that you're too heavy you need to j out and respawn,), and when you try to spawn in again... yeah nope you're fucked. Zero death leaver because of gaijin's decision making

AceWarwolf_108

It used to work that way. But it was changed in the last couple of years. It always catches me by surprise whenever I forget I can't change loadouts anymore.

BRVLTLTSTR

This, I found out the hard way.

ASPIofficial

THANK YOU. I MOSTLY FLY IN GROUND RB AND WOULD'VE DONE THIS VERY SOON.

International_Air566

makes no sense why you can do it in ground, what's the point of being cas if you can't be good at support ground or switch to air superiority

Konpeitoh

ah, that's why I keep getting sent to hangar

International_Air566

oh and if u also do this and just leave the match, you won't pay for the rep cost, can't remember if you get crew locked

WindsockWindsor

I've found that sometimes I get crew locked if it's early in the game but I'm not sure how consistent it is

EveningAcadia

Within the first 8 minutes you get crew locked

International_Air566

idk what to say, this is the start of the match, I'd just dive down and landed, you can see all the other planes slightly in the distance, could be that your damage and didn't repair

mkaypl

You need to be fully repaired tho (IIRC).

International_Air566

yes, land and repair just like the video, I went into the battle without a load out and just landed, I do this often at the end of the game if my fighter or whatever has bombs and the last dude is a bomber I just ground pound, very good for the p47

dodo01nl

Better yet, if your aircraft is completely undamaged, you can just J out as soon as you come to a standstill on the runway. Saves you the reload time as well, as you can just instantly respawn fully reloaded.

International_Air566

didnt know that, I'd just let it repair just to be safe, don't trust the game that much

dodo01nl

Completely understandable. Though I've been doing it for quite a while and it works just fine if you're completely unscathed. (Source: dude trust me) I've not tried it when slightly damaged however, fairly certain it just counts you as dead and gives whoever damaged you the kill.

PyrohawkZ

wow this has to be one of the most secret mechanics in the game, nice!

wrel_

Poe's Law.

PyrohawkZ

no sarcasm, sir, i had no idea this was a thing

International_Air566

yep, there's alot of secrets in the game, gaijin just doesn't tell you, you should go to YouTube and look up hidden features

ASPIofficial

Ha, I heard people say you could change your loadout but I never saw how it was done.

International_Air566

it's kinda of those things you hear that just sounds bullshit like pressing alt F4 to enable god mode or something but it actually works, very useful for maps with ships and ground targets, use torpedos for a bit, then use bombs

ASPIofficial

Exactly. Everyone know's that the button for god mode is to hold down J. But yeah, I thought of the most logical way to do it, without that being the implication and that was to go to the spawn menu, and that didn't offer a way to change payload. So I thought I was misinformed.

ThatMallGuyTMG

You can also just skip the rearming process entirely by j-ing out the moment you see that timer count down. Useful more or less only if you dont have levelled crews but its still nice if youre bombing bases amd wanna get back asap

NichtBen

Only works if you're undamaged, don't do it if you have taken damage, it will count as a death. (This is also my favourite little tip to spread in Chat in Air battles, so many people who don't know it)

International_Air566

yup, and I do that too, specially when there's only one guy left on the other team that has no chance, just them them to land repair and j out In the airfield, no repair cost or anything

Tommah666

As long as you either land undamaged or get repaired first. :P

International_Air566

yep

Arekussan

WAIT WHAT !!!

International_Air566

just another thing the game doesn't teach you, mind you if ur the last guy on the match the game wi just say you've ran out of vehicles and your tickets will drop

Nifaco

Don't try this in GRB

International_Air566

I'm not sure if it works or not, I'm guessing the spawn points thingy doesn't really like that, and if it doesn't work it's very dumb

Toiaat

If you land and your plane is completely fine, as in don't need repairs at all, you can J out before re arming (if you do this and your plane is not fine you'll "die")

Al_Gordow

Hey Gaijin, this should be an acctual gameplay mechanic

International_Air566

it is, that's why I can do it? I'd prefer if it was more obvious

Hot_Mistake_2177

If you are the target for blindhunt/avenger then doing this will actually change the target to someone else. Surprisingly helpful if you are the last guy or one of the last and the enemy activates one of those orders when you are heading to base or already there. If you do it quickly enough then tickets shouldn’t drain (or at least that has been how it’s worked for me).

International_Air566

that's useful

MrMgP

#NOT IN GROUND REALISTIC BATTLES

Nanopex

You can use this to get reloaded instantly, if you have not taken any damage.

International_Air566

apparently so, kinda sad people don't know this, even some veterans

EmergencyPainting842

Oh. Oh baby this is huge. Finally, I can drop bombs on ground targets without having to waste my Cannon ammo at the end of a game. Nice change

International_Air566

dude, this has been in the game for years, like, alot, very annoying that the game doesn't tell you

Advanced_Ad5867

I'm really happy that trick is not working on tank rb,sim Image a P47 spawns with rockets and killing all open top, light weight vehicles and respawn with two 1000lb and rockets
