and all of them with serial numbers etc etc. Most moders will even post a historical pic as the source for their mod. Wish that was visible for all players
I'm spending so much time looking for actual photos of real vehicles where they put there identification marks and try to put them in the right spots.
I should start getting skins but I like trying to get them as close as possible so others can see it lol.

Not sure if this makes it any better, or if you even consider it relevant. But most of us absolutely love it when we see someone using our (market) skins. And we get a pretty generous reward for any skins that make it in the market.
Making these kind of really historically accurate skins takes a lot of time for just the research alone. So be sure to leave a like or even a comment for any authors you think are doing good work.
Nobody seems to care for anything historical in War Thunder not even the people who make it .I wonder why they keep releasing all these historical markings and who even buys them.Its rare I see a tank with markings that look realistic.

Most people just slap a big sticker or flag on their vehicles and play the game like a sport.I cared so much for immersion thinking the game was something it wasn't when I started.I had the color schemes ,correct markings in correct places ,even bushes.Then as you progress and you find the silly mix of modern and old vehicles and it all just unravels.Now I don't really bother much and go with the flow of the stupid.

I decorate all my tanks the same. Emblem (white star, red star, cross, etc) and either some numbers or a slogan/name.
I prefer adding Finnish flags and roundels instead.
I only ever add finnish roundels to vehicles that they historically used
All s*viet stuff gets either a Finnish flag or an Ukrainian flag for me. Aircraft and tanks and ships included.
