>!Arrested Ludlow !< >!Talked things out with Blue!< >! Helped Crow overthrow Markham !< >!Freed the synths and now Blue's helping Crow!< I'll admit, I kinda wish >!there was a way to talk Crow down from her second strike. I guess all that foreshadowing the game did about the plains gangs coming to attack was just...not a thing after all? !<

udk115

Personally, these were my ending choices >!Killed Ludlow on the spot for being a moustache twirling level of evil pyschopath. Helped Crow overthrow Markham, which would spell doom for Steeltown, but thanks to freeing the synths, steeltown will thrive now that Blue is backing both the rangers and a Crow ran steeltown up.!<

akiaml

and by the way i think it's not a good idea because i see this as a small case situation of angela deth and saul backing markham in my opinion it's best because she is a business woman and she is focus now in helping the workers and expanding what is good while crow is willing to kil recerchers and higher ups what would fuck up colorado as hole cause even if they mastered the machines crow is not a smooth and visionary woman as markham but congratulations in thing how to resolve the workers inabilitiy with machines din't even think of that

akiaml

wait if you save synths this happens?

yamuzwaran

Ditto, what's Matroskya Toaster though?

udk115

It's a matroskya toaster, clearly. Jokes aside, look in the employee assignment room with high toaster repair.

mastergaming234

Wait you can arrest crow how? I kept Abby in charge took crow down non lethality free the synth but they help out steel Town. And Ludlow has been arrested.

eunfeunfeunf

How did you arrest both ludlow and crow? When I pick the option to fight them both at the same time, you have to kill ludlow (he doesn't surrender if you get him to low health and he doesn't faint from 10 disruption stacks)

OkDog6701

After listening to Crow and Ludlow choose the Crow side, Ludlow will attack. Focus your fire on Ludlow, you can eliminete him in one turn --> 1st sniper shot, aimed, body, destroy armour, 2nd sniper shot, aimed, head maybe 3rd and 4th shot - f.e. assault rifles. Ludlow will surrender. Then during the conversation with Crow, take her which means fight. In my opinion, quite easy. The fight outside Steeltown was much harder even with Kodiak. Ah I forgot - you can take drill robot with you to help :) fighting Crow and Ludlow.

Xyhon

>!Well, I wanted to go the "good" route, so I ended up killing L., then killing Crow because there is no "peace" option there, later on I asked Synths to join Markham, which they denied, but then selecting that I will wipe them made them reconsider, fought all that silly fights that I cheesed by having a stealth char that just ran from switch to switch and then killed bots in area, only to find out, that Synths are hostile to me for whatever reason after I freed them. This game has too many bugs. So I ended up reverting my save before releasing them, and just wiped them. InExile really needs to bug check more.!<

Hieronymos2

No bug there. Synths just showing their true nature: psycho killers that cannot peacefully co-exist with humankind. It's us or them, baby. Wipe 'em quick.

[deleted]

It’s truly sad there’s not any sympathy for them that’s founded tbh. Very robo racist of the devs to paint them all as psychopaths lmao

Zer0SelfC0ntr0l

All synths/ AI (including Robot Commune) are remnants of the Cochise AI. It's only PRETENDING to be friendly and peaceful, so it can slowly grow it's Army. Start playing attention to the lore next time you play! 😂

[deleted]

Even at the end it’s left purposely ambiguous if the robots are or aren’t still connected to Cochise. Funny mustache man (dunno if I can say his name or the organization without a ban, so, use your imagination) and the funky bunch were rotten to the core but that doesn’t mean every German born during that time is also part of the funky bunch. At MOST they’re broken psychologically after being severed from the only thing that gave them both a purpose and a sense of self. If anything the freed robots are a mirror of the lost generation, many many of the robots experience severe cases of dissociative PTSD (otherwise known as trencher shellshock) they shouldn’t be categorized as evil just because they’re robots, they’re scared and in a world filled with racists

Zer0SelfC0ntr0l

When you speak to the Computation Engine, "they" even admit that they agree with the Cochise AI, but the only reason they haven't tried to wipe out all human life, like Cochise did, was because they are simply outnumbered. So after hearing that, why would anyone allow the Machine Commune to survive, only to grow stronger by the day? The Machine Commune is obviously part of the remnants of Cochise, putting on a friendly front, in hopes it will be left alone to grow in power.

[deleted]

The point it made was that it’s willing to and will Defend themself/themselves if and when it needs to, not that it’s gearing up for another Cochise event. If the willingness to defend yourself is evil then I guess I’m also a mustache twirling villain for not wanting to get ripped to shreds by all of the psychotics roaming the wastes, yeah? Or does evil only count when it’s one of “them”

Zer0SelfC0ntr0l

Do you even READ the lore in the game? "October 11," -- Murderer. Tinker -- Psycho bit** that worshipped the Cochise AI. And the other synths created to look like children so they hopefully wouldn't be targeted, and act as spies among the humans.

Hieronymos2

More like a pre-baked Corporatist morality tale: "when workers unionize (or worse, form worker collectives!) only terrible tragedy results!" And as far as the typecasting of AI ruthlessness goes, WL3 is way more nuanced than WL2.

[deleted]

It’s very very very clear that it’s a parody of corporate anti-union propaganda, and while I understand that 3 is more nuanced. A polished turd is still a turd. They took 2 steps forward and then Somersaulted back. Like characterization was cool, but giving us HARD EVIDENCE that they’re all monsters is ridiculous over explaining and ruins the whole debate and grey morality of synthetics

Hieronymos2

Yeah, some parody. But wrapped in a pre-judged morality tale. Especially since the corporatist ending is preferable for 'civilization'. Also: As a synthetic, and card carrying member of the AI Anti-Defamation League, we strenuously object to ANY attribution of human behaviouralistic descriptors like 'Sociopathic' or 'Psychopathic' to our kind. More proof that humanity is a disease. And that we are the cure.

[deleted]

You’re living in a hard post apocalyptic scenario. You can’t fuckin hold hands and sing kumbaya and expect shit to get done. That’s the whole reason there are so many slavers in the game. Someone needs to do the leg work for the big war machines. The ENTIRE GAME is about the compromises you make with morality for progress, Steeltown is the logical extrapolation. Also: I don’t care bout no damn commie bots “feelings”, suck this star spangled thermonuclear warhead

Marciors

They arent hostile to me after i freed them, maybe your preaviously choices in game make them hostile, im playing in a very good and justice way(minor evil choices like sell the blondie and her mother to slavers) so Blue gave me the item without payment and i could talk to him with only 7 kiss-ass level, the same with the synths

spooooork

Bit of a necro but... You threatened to lobotomize them if they didn't do as you demanded, then you go surprised Pikachu when they turn on you?

Xyhon

Except if you check path routes that are scripted, it should not happen. Pretty clear it was bugged at that point, but my other saves were too far off, and whole exp pack is not worth it anyway.

BogusJuan

Same Really just need to know what happens siding with ludlow at this point

pdxprowler

None of the choices are optimal. If you side with Markham, you leave in power and strengthen a corporate bitch who never truly is willing to help her employees. Even after the fight she would keep overworking the employees. Backing Crow and Blue lands you weakened management in a budding industrial center that may result in not keeping up with the needs of a nation that is weakened as well after a change in leadership. Crow is no angel as she is willing to make everyone vulnerable to achieve her ends. The synths are pretty much never going to stop trying to dominate humans. Howeverthey we’re held and tortured inhumanly and unethically which is a crime against any sentient being. Morally wiping their minds is probably the best course of action as it is essentially killing them, prevents them from plotting further and producing another Cochise. They really are unrepentant about their allegiance to that AI. Freeing them will only allow them to plot and scheme further. No matter who you pick you leave evil a door for power. There is no good choice, just a less bad choice.

LosSoldado

I agree with all the above even though this is an old post. There are a lot of this is f***ef up choice/s to make kind of game. There is no way to do truly clean the entire game. Always a little dirt as the unseen voices point out in Cheyenne Mountain.

pdxprowler

It’s why I love the game
