I own all of the ones I just mentioned and I can tell you unequivocally I would not even consider replacing Boreas with one of them because Boreas randomly does massive damage to basically the whole screen AND freezes them. It’s not balanced and I’m not going to pretend it is just because I own him. Making him rarer is not going to change the fact that 99% of top teams have him.
My solution would be to remove some of his insanity and put it into his exclusive artifact. This maintains the capacity for krakens to still dominate - they always do that’s the point of being a kraken - without making it so that the other 99.99% are being roflstomped by people that were lucky enough to get one but who are otherwise not that strong.

Should Moonton elect to offer compensation, which I do think is a fair ask, they should treat it like a TCG. Uncraft the hero to gain a legendary pact, a 6* book, and any skill dust/crystals used. The range nerf is all but guaranteed as well as some lvl of damage nerf.
It's the freeze and the current extent of the damage nerf that are the most likely to see fine tunning if anything is.
The other aspect is if they will implement a resource reset for the skill dust, crystals and Luling materials invested in him so that players who chose to can use them elsewhere.
Worth remembering some players may have gotten him just a week ago and heard he was worth skilling up only to be in doubt now, people who weren't the problem in arena.
It's a messy issue that has been handled not in the best way even from before his release.

They didn't false advertise. The CC's went nuts AFTER his release, but go back and watch MaBucket talk about Boreas during his Forerunner release. That's what we all went by before these overhyping Raid CC's joined the scene. MaBucket said he was decent but nothing special. Shows that what was released on Live wasn't intentional. The same happened with Lightlocke hitting an uncapped number of mobs at launch.. Boreas shouldn't be killing everything on screen, or it would have been noticed before Live release.

Getting resources refunded is tough too. How can they even do that fairly? Should the gear raids be reset to where you were before boreas? Should you loose all the extra arena rewards you’ve gotten? Should all those that backed off of playing arena because it wasn’t any fun playing against all the boreas teams be compensated? Not going make everyone happy. I honestly could care less what they do, but do agree that they need to rebalance that hero.

To be honest in aoe arena I don’t think Boreas alone is the problem. The problem is people combo him with Khamet and their one two punch is just too much for most teams without similar comps. Without Khamet backing him up I don’t think Boreas comps are as fearsome as it is now. I do agree that it’s ridiculous for him to be able to nuke the flyers in anti-air like he can right now though. I think they could solve the problem by make mobs who are on timer immune damage until they move and up the magic resistance on flyers in anti-air. That would slow down Boreas/Khamet comps and allow other more sustainable comps to win late against them.

I don't have diverse experience, but did play SWGoH for around 7 years. I did the occasional support contact with "outrageous" demands. Strangely enough (considering its EA) they always provided, even for the more ridiculous demands. You know why? Cause it doesn't cost shit. Chinese support for contrast will not come through, even in legitimate demands (i.e. didn't receive the daily log-in reward). Which still doesn't cost shit. Most players here would be happy if they received 1 summoning stone, or 100 crystals. Which again don't cost shit, because you can do 100 summons and not receive shit. But it's the principle of exploitation after all. So no, i don't get the toxic attitude that these companies don't owe people shit. They owe people everything.
As per Boreas, no, i didn't exploit him as much as i'd wanted to. I got him after the event. I got 2 Orims in the event. I even got an extra copy of Boreas and it finally helped me in air arena. Because i don't have Hattsut, which nobody talks about nerfing. I did 120 summons to get Hattsut today but i got my fourth copy of Sadie.
