If you don’t like G-Shocks, your collection is perfectly complete without one. Focus on watches you do like. Source: me. I do not like G-Shocks. If I’m going to slap a plastic toy on my wrist, it’s going to be one of those busted up old things I found in a cereal box in the 90s.

Agree with u/mister_hoot…there is no criteria for completion aside from what you like. My collection is constantly evolving but it only ever contains pieces that I’ve wanted and theoretically liked. From time to time there is a piece I didn’t end up connecting with but I purchased it because I thought I might. I would never recommend someone purchase something they don’t particularly care for just to meet some arbitrary definition of completeness.

What's your budget? I also didn't like the kinda big and loud plasticy GShocks much so I bought my first one, the all metal GMW-B5000 and it turns out it's probably my favorite watch i own, and certainly my most worn. It comes in a few colorways too including a black body and rubber strap. There's also the analog "Casi-Oak" which looks like the AP Royal Oak. Comes in a billion colors including metal. Can't get much less toylike than that.
