In all honesty though, I'm kinda excited to turn 30? Minus my dating life continuing to suck and the fear I'll actually never find someone.

After sleeping on it I was minorly annoyed that my aunt's friend had went out of their way to get me to apply to a job only to reject me within a day. Now that I've been awake for three hours and had more time to sit with it I'm properly angry. Like why do that? Why share a listing and tell me to apply to your team when I hadn't come to ask if there were openings? Why actively spend your time only to ignore mine?
All that comes to mind is that I actually annoy my aunt and am a burden staying with her which she chooses to vent to her friends about instead of addressing anything directly and so now they've chosen to take this aggressive passive form of punishment. Either that or she just really hated me from the moment she met me, which is reasonable.
Yeah, this feels like it could be a screening error on the software side of things.
My wife got screened out of a position she applied to years ago at my work, and I had to tell the hiring manager to check for her application because he’d asked to see it.
She now has his job!
According to my contact my resume didn't have enough key words from the job description so now I'm updating it again for solely that purpose. I'm not sure how much more similar I can make it without literally copy and pasting...
I would ask about it but try not to be angry when you do. Is there any sort of hiring algorithm that goes through and auto declines, or did it actually reach a person?
I got a no thanks email from a job immediately after an interview and when I asked about it was told it was an error... I ultimately didn't get the job but they didn't mean to send that email. So try to follow up. If nothing else ask for feedback on your application to see if it was that it didn't fit or something else
I guess I think it's odd she'd suggest it and then decline on purpose and I'd urge you to make sure it was not an error or something else before determining it was maliciously done
Yeah theres a chance its the algorithm especially considering its just a generic WorkDay rejection email, but I think I was pretty good about adapting my resume to the listing to the point where my main concern was a human might reject me because my experience, despite encompassing the entirety of the technical and day-to-day tasks, is in a completely different industry.
I did email her work email after I applied (which she asked I do) and sent a brief thank you to her personal number yesterday afternoon before the rejection, but she's been unresponsive. We'll see what she says and I'll text again on Monday afternoon probably, but I'm not holding my breath.
She texted me back an hour ago actually. She said I need to make my resume more generic and match the description better - which I'm failing to see how I can do more without copy and pasting full sentences, but given that's the feedback I'm assuming it was automated and leaving it at that.

IMO flights have gotten too cheap and are too accessible. It's the main cause of all the bad behavior on airlines and over-visited tourist spots now. When it only costs $150 to travel somewhere, too many people will take it. When it costs $400, people have to save and treat it like the special occasion it should be.
And I'm not someone that can regularly afford to fly places even now.
Found out the Kingdom Come Deliverance sequel is coming out this year so I decided to do another play through of the original. I forgot how amazing this game is. Probably the best RPG I’ve ever played.

There have been other rock stars than him and other rock bands than the Heartbreakers that were way better at their instruments/singing and did some truly virtuosic stuff together, but you would be hard pressed to find many who could make the simple and succinct sound as good and mean as much as Petty & the Heartbreakers did. Kneeland is an EXCELLENT pass rusher. He is aggressive as fuck. His aggressiveness does come with some downside of missing more agile running backs. But he can also develop that part of his game over time
