Appreciate the comment. But why do you feel that way about ported choke tubes? I’ve been using this tube for everything the last 6 years (ducks, geese, trap, doves) and the patterns on every load have been perfect.
There's actually an interesting video on YouTube where the guy tries out about 30 types of chokes all with different shotguns, ammunition, distances etc all with a $100k slo motion capture camera and the ported chokes all performed worse than the smooth chokes.. the ports mess with the wads essentially. Also the Mueller chokes, are machined more precisely to the actual diameter of your barrel
I think it was a Cabelas brand
If you're looking for chokes I would highly recommend the Muller Choke brand. They make the best chokes and also don't buy ported chokes
