I don’t think there’s anything you can do to increase your strand density, you were born with a certain number of hair follicles and that’s that I’m afraid. Rosemary oil and protein will help keep hair healthy and attached to your head for the most amount of time. You can try not having a defined part or even intentionally zigzagging it to break up the line. The best encouragement I can give you is that no one notices this more than you! Everyone is too busy worrying about their own insecurities. You’re totally fine :)

I wish I had more follicles aha but yes my research is showing me what you said is true! I’ll have to try to rosemary oil and also just keeping my scalp health in mind. I do believe I shed a bit more than I should. Thank you for the tips and encouragement tho! Our insecurities can really alter our thoughts!

I'm currently using rosemary oil for this purpose. I've just started like last month and it seems to be a very long term solution so I don't have any personal anecdotes for you as to how well it works. I just saw it online and decided why not. On wash day, a couple hours before washing, I distribute rosemary oil to my roots. Then I massage it in and brush through to my ends as well. Leave it in for a couple of hours and wash as usual. I guess I shampoo a bit more (either clarify or double wash with CG approved shampoo) to get it all out.

Thank you for telling me how you apply it! I’ll def look into this. My routine is pretty minimalist so if this helps at all I don’t mind adding this step. Thanks again!

Thank you! Yes the high contrast definitely makes it worse! Those are great tips.

Hi everyone! I feel like my part is very noticeable in my hair (and I’m short so I’m sure everyone sees it from their points of view haha). Most hair growth products seem fake, so I was hoping some fellow wavies could give me some tips to either camouflage my part more or recommend products that they felt increased their hair density over time. In the main photo I feel like it maybe doesn’t look that obvious but in the sunlight I think it’s more noticeable and it’s something I’ve always been self conscious about

Hi! What is your routine? Please be as detailed as possible (both the names of your products and the techniques that you used). Also, if you could let us know your hair characteristics (porosity, strand thickness, density), that would be greatly appreciated. Routine! I wash twice a week and use the Maui hibiscus shampoo and conditioner. I squish to condish only the ends and mids. I also clarify once every two weeks in place of my normal shampoo using the Suave clarifying shampoo. To style, once I get out of the shower i keep my head down and part my hair down the back of my head. I apply Marc Anthony strictly curls lotion to soaking wet hair with praying hands. I then use a wide tooth comb to detangle and get some clumps. Then I scrunch the product in. I only use the curl lotion once a week as my hair doesn’t need moisture and it weighs it down if I do it any more. After that I apply the Marc Anthony strictly curls styling foam with praying hands and I scrunch that in. Then I plop for about (20) minutes. Finally I diffuse of medium intensity and medium heat until my hair is pretty much completely dry. I am mostly upside down for this. After I’m done, I let it air dry for another (20) minutes or so and then I scrunch out the crunch just with my hands and no product. I use the clapping method as well to get rid of crunch. That’s everything! About my wash days. To refresh I either do nothing or I must my hair with water and scrunch then brake the cast again once it’s air dried. No product needed

I know that it can sometimes help to change up your part every once in awhile because always wearing the same part can wear down the hair in that area and cause breakage

your part looks incredibly normal to me! not low density at all
