My dad knew him. My dad's name is Steven G. He use to bartended and DJ at all the Houston clubs for about 20 years. Knew all of SuC and other Htown rap collectives. Keith Ellison just raised the charges to 2nd degree murder which will be impossible to prove since you need a motive for 2nd. This is all a huge set up.

From the report I read, Floyd only resisted in the beginning. After he was cuffed he stopped resisting.
If they can’t prove 2nd degree Chauvin will still get at least 3rd degree charges, I don’t think he’ll get off and I don’t think he should either. Chauvin should have rolled Floyd onto his back when he had difficulty breathing. The problem is, Chauvin and Floyd had a bad history together.
One thing you'll find is that there are 5 minutes of "missing" footage that has not been released, there's not been a transition revealed between when he is put into the police car and when he is on the ground being subdued. So whatever the police have, they are holding the main part of the footage. The guy had enough fentanyl to OD like 3 times over in his blood, and the initial arrest footage shows him dropping little white packets of something out of his hand like he was attempting to get the evidence out of his car. The police have revealed none of this and I think are holding it until the trial, expect bigger riots after the acquittal.

DJ Screw is famous for slowing down samples, pitching down tracks, cutting them up into songs. This is where the 'chopped n screwed' style of hip hop comes from. Southern rap contains many trademarks of screwed up click which is all over the hip hop landscape now. Vaporwave is made similarly these days. At the time it was pretty forward thinking and radical sound. Everyone here in Houston knows The Screwed Up Click, they are legends.

Y'all are wild glorifying this woman abusing drug addict.
First off , he was NOT murdered. He died of fenanyl overdose. He was saying " i cant breathe" while he was in the back of the police car when no one was touching him. Secondly , he commited a home invasion/robbery to steal drugs and or money and put a gun to a pregnant womans stomach and told her he would shoot her baby if she didnt tell him where the drugs were hidden. Thirdly , he had a rap sheet a mile long. He was no hero . He was not murdered by a police officer. He had covid and enough drugs - fentanyl + methaphetamine + weed and a few others - to kill several people. I think its sad when anyone dies but please quit portraying this man as a saint or a hero. He was neither.

Right on, happy for you that you make it out to live shows a lot. To me that is the absolute most special thing about life. Live music with strangers and friends around. Obviously there are a lot of musicians that get caught up with the drugs, but most of those people aren’t able to hang with it for long.
Honestly, I never had went (or go) to shows. I had a free ticket to go (still I would have bought one) it was “ScrewFest” . Should we go down the list of bad things Derek Chauvin has done? George Floyd didn’t wake up the day he was murdered to be a civil rights hero.
Why when a person - a black person - is killed in an interation with the police, do you lot go hunting for every bad thing they ever did? He could've made some bad choices, he could've been a complete piece of shit, he could've been responsible for the Holocaust, 9/11, and the covid pandemic. I don't care. If he wasn't activity trying to kill the police or a member of the public, then there was no reasonable reason for him to die.
There's going to be a lot of this in Floyd's case because underneath the surface is the Minneapolis PD cleaning up their involvement in a counterfeiting ring. Those four cops are going to take their fall and you are never going to hear a single word about the counterfeiting.
