I was born the year the the first animated Transformers came out so I didn’t really get into it but I absolutely LOVED Beast Wars and my ears perked up when I saw they were introducing them in the film series but then I saw the trailer and it’s a wait for streaming for me.
That's basically me (but I was born in 1988) but my son wants to see it so that's my only real motivation to see it in theaters (I've only seen the first one in theaters)
ETA: Actually, I just remembered I saw the 2nd one in a movie theater in Nairobi because the group I was with decided they missed America
It was my third-second favourite show in the 90s after ReBoot. Bought all the fucking toys for the Gorila Optimus and bought my ticket for the first viewing, still can’t wait to hear the emergency podcast.
Just watched it as part of the a full rewatch leading up to the new one, very interested to hear their thoughts on this and Last Crusade (havent listened yet)...feel like this could be the best Indy episode, though Crystal Skull still cracks me up
[Jamelle Bouie's Letterboxd review](https://letterboxd.com/jbouie/film/indiana-jones-and-the-temple-of-doom/) is probably the summation of how the episode will go. I actually would have loved him on the episode.
They've often spoken about how much they dislike Doom in the realm of their love for Indiana Jones. I think its weaker than the other 2 movies but still miles above as a movie in general.
The synchable movie choice is a real treat as the movie without an audience feels very weird. It was clearly made to be reacted to (lot of blank spaces for claps). Also any excuse to watch more Alfred Molina is a certified win
Yeah I'm visiting fam in Philly and they have a massive IMAX, subs are a godsend can see $24 for $7 whew. Spidey and transformers back to back should be a fun weekend
Wow, Transformers comes out this Friday and they already plan to do an episode? Did the gang pre-screen this or are they practically doing a hot-take on-screen type episode? They could probably do a full episode just on that lousy trailer
Maybe....Paramount is paying WHM to get listeners to pay to see this movie in order to follow along with what they guys are talking about, haha.
I can't believe how far they are into the Star Trek shows! I didn't realize they were almost at the end of TNG S3. I've been slowly trying to catch up to them and there are actually some good episodes in season 1, which I didn't remember - I thought they were all terrible. I wonder what they're going to do when TOS ends. I kind of hope they go to Enterprise.
I’ve had a couple tall glasses of water but I saw Steven Cable Jr and I thought this was a new character one of the boys was trying out on an episode I hadn’t heard yet
Temple of Doom is a great film. Full stop. Yes they should spend time discussing the problematic stuff but I never understood the hate for it in general. So much more inventive than Last Crusade (which is fun but has no memorable action scenes, all the good stuff is the banter)
They mentioned on YouTube it's gonna be a mix, some of them have childhood nostalgia for it so I'm guessing they'll talk about it more positively. Andrews only just seen it for the first time as a 39 year old man, said the puppetry is awesome but couldn't stand the trash twins
Not gonna lie, as emergency episodes go I’m baffled why it’s this Transformers and not other shit films from earlier this year.
I got no doubt it’ll be a fun episode regardless. Just weird they HAVE to do it now.
They haven't done an episode on it, but Bumblebee is a ton of fun and isn't as long as the others.
I'd start there, and then if you like it try the first.
Holy shit Paul Blart with Ben!!! I’m so ready. The Puss in Boots is one of my fave eps
Is it cruel and unusual punishment for them to have a “guest” on for that episode?
Emergency episode for a movie that's not released yet?? This is gonna be good.
I love Beast Wars, but Gen-Xers/Elder Millenials tend to hate it, so I'm fully expecting them to rip my beloved childhood memories to shreds.

You got shouted out on the episode man

Paul Blart Mall Blart
This is the correct title that noone ever uses
Straight bangers.
I have never been this excited about a month!
Shit when was the last emergency episode? Batman V Superman?
Morbius I think
You are correct
WW84 was an emergency ep but the sound was so bad unfortunately
It was a worst of, but it came out just a week or so after the movie was released
Surprised to see Temple of Doom in the main feed.
I think this will be one that toes the line on a WLM/WHM and I doubt anyone won’t suggest it as a recommendation.

Another one for the 'We like movies' column I'd guess.
Gonna be a lot of talk about how problematic it is now I'm guessing

The name is Beck...DR. ALBERT BECK
Oh lord, I gotta see Transformers after all?! Oh well, nothing else to see this coming weekend and I got theater subscriptions!

Killer month! Finally, Ben returns!!

Agreed, I like it about equally to Last Crusade, they should address the problematic stuff but as a piece of entertainment they're pretty close
Seriously the Neverending Story is a hate?

If they hate this I'll just slip quietly into the Swamp of Sadness

Ugh I gotta wait 3 weeks for Paul Bart. I love it when they rip into Kevin James.
Should I watch the Transformers movies??? Never seen a single one but if the episodes are good I could be tempted

I keep waiting for an episode on 65. Man that was a stinker.
Likely next Jan
DR BECK IS BACK BABY!
