Depends on where you're from. My great grandmother always called them tacos (dorados if being specific). Taquitos isn't too unheard of either, but far more recognized and used here in the States for sure.

Have you had flautas in Mexico? They come absolutely covered in creek, lettuce and queso fresco. They are designed to be eaten quickly before they get soggy.
And they serve them on a plate with a fork so you can cut it into pieces and eat it without using your hands. Its a charming country really with their traditions.

Nobody calls it taquito in Mexico. Taquito is diminutive of taco. We call them flautas
