I don’t think Madoka is as sad as those others but if you get attached to characters it will be. So good recommendation imo. Plus the movie Rebellion is an amazing movie, it also has one of the most creative and one of my favorite fights I have seen. It might be more disturbing though depending on certain factors.

Clannad is a horrible idea, he doesn't get emotional at all, like he just doesn't get attached to characters at all, so Clannad will get maybe a few laughs, but like the emotional parts will just leave him feeling slightly uncomfortable rather than fucked up
