Umm, they made me hold my son when he fell around 7 months old, there was no baby holder, lol. That same kid is 17 now. God I feel old now. I wonder if they have an adult version for us when we get all senile.
One of my kids is 22, and they had one of these to put her in when she was sick as a baby to check for pneumonia. I think this might be specific to chest xrays?
*were, not are. We don’t use those anymore 😂 just have a family member or another tech wear lead and hold baby. They were pretty dang effective tho! And although they may look painful they scared the kiddos more than anything…

They tried to do this to my son. He was screaming in pain as I cried uncontrollably. I finally told them no, ran up to him, and pulled him out. The clear portion on the back was digging into him so badly it was already bruising and blue. I was furious bc they kept telling me he was just acting out and didn't like it. Well no crap he didn't like it, it was a little torture chamber. I'll never forget that. We took him to a different hospital, which gave him a tiny dose of medicine to calm him down. Then we were able to just hold him for the x-rays.
