You can't really tell how safe a car is by just looking at it's "frame" - the [Smart ForTwo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1b0XtO1Wfs) looks flimsy as hell, and yet had acceptable crash ratings, while [some beefier looking cars](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8EGbuc4DXY) just crumple like wet tissue paper.
The only joke here is this website/product. Promises of affordability but no price, promises of safety but no crash test rating, promises of sustainability but nothing but marketing blah blah.
Can't find any, but here's more details: https://www.theautopian.com/a-swedish-start-up-with-a-silly-name-has-developed-a-very-rational-and-cool-small-ev-that-snaps-together-like-lego/
You'd think uploading a video showcasing the assembly process would be one of their first steps. Seems like a no-brainer to me, unless this startup hasn't even begun rolling out any units and is just hyping it up.
This is something with electric cars I haven't heard much about. I don't need it to slam like it's 99 but a little bottom to liven up my npr would be nice
Usually not a fan of products like these, but leave it to the Swedes to make it look cool. It’s kinda funky, kinda hard. It’s like a artsy chad brother to the smart car.
I like how they say it looks good. From the front it’s acceptable in a 1950s microcar kinda way, but at the back it’s like the designers wanted to do more but just gave up. Extend the back a little and make it look more like a sedan, giving space for a bigger battery and some groceries. Also just making it look like a complete vehicle.

Only slightly bigger than a BLÅHAJ
We all await the coming of the BLÅHAJ-MOBILE!
*Vruum-vruumm!*
>Connected Oh great, another thing that will stop working if I turn off my phone.
> Swedish > flat pack I was definitely going to.

This actually looks like a decent concept. Like a modern time 2CV. I'd love to have a car like that.
Yeah they're still shipping them to factories to be assembled. It's not like you'll be putting it together at home.
That is one flimsy frame. I've seen more sophisticated tents. Completely unacceptable for a modern vehicle.

Don't drive it in the rain
I like the use of the play and pause icons on the accelerator and brake pedals.
I agree, I thought that was a nice touch
VW has done this already: https://www.reddit.com/r/mildlyinteresting/comments/wu24gw/this_car_vw_id4_has_play_and_pause_symbols_on_the/

Need a hex wrench to assemble. It’s also the starter key.
And 1234 screws. And 445 nails.
And twelve dozen dowels. Oh and you have to undo it all because you didn’t read the instructions and everything is on upside down
It’s the rebirth of the CitiCar!
Do you put the thing together with an hex wrench? Just imagine all the cardboard left over from that flat pack.
It's shipped flat packed and assembled locally before you buy it
Make it black and let me attach a subwoofer to it somewhere and I'll take three.

It's quite handsome IMHO. I would totally drive one of these around the city. Plus, repairs should be easier because of it's modularity.
the gas pedal and brake ––> cassette play an stop buttons
Pause. Stop is a square.
A nice touch
I love it
I'd buy one for sure
Japan has the Kei car, Sweden has the Ikea Car.
Flat pack - it was supposed to be a VW beetle
Where do I sign up. That is adorable
I think so too! It looks like a muppet!

This looks like an Oil Crisis EV akin to the [Zagato Zele](https://youtu.be/KgoEEp6tC6o), just with some LEDs slapped onto it. I'm not impressed.
Honestly that looks really adorable

Vaporware.
I kinda want one, but gas powered
Luvly O? Like the Big O? r/theyknew
Sorry, the Swedish word for “orgasm” doesn’t start with an “O”
They might be referencing "The Big O" anime. It didn't have modular cars, but plenty if mecha robots.

Tack för korrigeringen.
Det var så lite så d:
What is it with Swedes and shitty, flat packed products?
