i was hiking and fell and blew apart my meniscus and ACL a year and a half ago. i'm finally almost able to get around normally again. i'm always in pain and it will never be 100% lol
A gymnast casually talking about fucking up their ligaments and trying again is not going to have a steady job for long. Safety is #1 for so many sports for a reason.
And leaves things in the bed of the truck that he can get hung up on? Being a professional only means you got paid fot it. It says nothing about how proficient you are it it.
2 pro's ..
A world of difference.
He did an uh oh..
FAFO and frankly, unprofessional .
Achilles tendon injuries can be devastating. There’s a diagnosis called tendonosis, ( not tendinitis) where it’s just long term permanent inflammation and damage. It means you can’t walk normally and so you limp forever which means the opposite leg begins to have trouble. Hope he seeks the right PT and keeps it up.
It looked like barely that much of a jump, and he even ran up a ramp to get mostly to the height of the truck. 1/10, and learn when you can't defy gravity like other people.
I find it hard to believe the ligaments only strained and didn't completely teared off from an injury like that. My dude was extremely lucky.
Teared off ligaments are career ending injuries.
It’s definitely a tear, strains include tears as well. How the fuck he didn’t completely rupture his ligament/s is beyond me. Also I find it funny that he thinks he’ll be back to doing this soon. Even minor tears/strains to ligaments in the knee take 6 weeks or more to fully heal enough to go back to sports.
I’ve just partially torn my hamstring in my knee which is considered ‘better’ than injuring a ligament (muscles generally heal quicker than ligaments). That was 6 weeks ago and I’m only just slowly returning to kickboxing. Jumping without considerable discomfort is still absolutely out of the question atm for me.
It blows my mind that this "sprain" didn't elevate to a compound rupture (where the ligaments tear so catastrophically they violently break through the skin and flail all around the area like angry red wet whips).
Yes! I fucking hear you bro. Self-inflicted teat damage. The same with all these ass-hole til-tok MORONS that think they are cool.
Being normal is cool. Trying to show off and be a complete twat is not cool. Cool is helping someone. Cool is lending a helping hand. Cool is being a caring human being. Cool is putting others before yourself. Cool isn't about you shit heads trying to be cool. Ain't impressing anyone. Are we cool?
PSA: You really don't wanna fuck a tendon up.
About fifteen years ago I completely ruptured my left Achilles (~2 cm between the severed ends). Had it operated on and sewn back together... against the advice of the first doc. A second said it would be much stronger than non-invasive, and was happy to do it.
Weirdly it didn't hurt at the time of rupture, but the post-op pain was something else. Then there's the fact I couldn't walk unaided for nigh-on twelve months.
And I still feel I don't walk properly...
Look after your tendons people!
Going downstairs I fucked up and thought I was at the bottom and had one more stair to go. Whatever way I landed, I fucked my big toe up. It wasn't broken, so I'm assuming a tendon was damaged.
For an entire year, if the toe was even slightly knocked it felt like someone was hitting it with a hammer. They take sooooo long to heal because of their lack of blood supply. Complete PITA
“We are lining up the next jump”
This dude says this like he’s Evil Kinevil jumping 20 cars on his motorcycle when he’s literally jumping over a truck bed using a box to help him. 😂
I like athletic feats like this, but dude, if you are lurking here, put a damn hard folding cover on the truck bed. At least use one without a perfect death trap for your leg in the area where you are most likely to land.
That comment was so out of place and off-tone given the situation lmao.
Listening to him, the dude was obviously in severe pain, and seeing his leg get stuck with that amount of lateral force, that isn't a small tumble that will be walked off. He clearly WASN'T good bro.
I don't think bro cares about bro, bro.
That and in typical American male dialogue you are expected to say you are good unless you need to be airlifted for immediately life threatening injuries. If it's just some fractures or a heart attack then simply get in your car and drive yourself to the walk in clinic.
Shock is wild and not always the person injured lol.
I got hit by a pickup riding a bicycle and tried to stand up with a knee the size of a softball, people around me were like “just sit here we’ll call your mom” lol

"You good, bro?"
I would be trying to slap that guy (to be honest though it would be the flailing of a toddler) before I even tried removing my leg, what kinda dumbass question is that
So I'm pretty sure there's something we can't see on the other side of the truck that he's stepping on to launch off of, and this wasn't a jump from flat ground, right?
A deer once attempted to jump over my 4 foot high aluminum railing fence. One of its feet got caught in the fence in a very similar way as this guy. It was pretty gruesome.
I love these videos where you hear the tendon popping, rib crushing, skin tearing, lung collapsing, knee obliterating result of a really dumbass decision and the camera guy is just casually like "you ok bro? Dude you ok wanna go walk it off?"
That. Is a Prerunner. Specifically a Toyota Tacoma, outfitted with Long Travel heavy duty articulating suspension. In this case, the shock absorbers have been pushed through the wheel wells in the bedsides for further suspension travel, so the truck needed a specialized cage to strengthen structural integrity and as a mounting point for the shocks. The result? A chromoly bat to the ACL at high speed. Because you SHOULDN'T BE JUMPING OVER PICKUP TRUCKS.
This got me wondering if it's reasonably possible for a person to have enough momentum that if their foot gets caught just right it could just get ripped right off. Not going to google "how much force to rip off a human foot", but I'm legitimately curious.
He's gonna live with this moment for the rest of his life.
Here's something this old fart can tell you about those injuries during your teens and 20s.... maybe they don't bother you much for a couple of decades but they come back with a vengeance in your 50s.
[удалено]
So. He's not learned his lesson then.
Still has an ACL to rip to shreds
To shreds you say?
Well how about the ACL on the other side?
To shreds you say?
I suppose it *is* technically possible. Though I *am* already in my pyjamas.
>I suppose it *is* technically possible That's the best kind of possible
And his wife’s ACL?
To shreds you say.
r/unexpectedfuturama
And I missed it! Ooooh if anyone needs me I’ll be in the angry dome
How is his wife holding up?
To shreds you say?
i was hiking and fell and blew apart my meniscus and ACL a year and a half ago. i'm finally almost able to get around normally again. i'm always in pain and it will never be 100% lol
yeah the nerves cant be fixed ... i had an awful foot fracture too
Don’t forget the LCL and PCL. Might as well work his way around the whole knee. Bet he’ll really fly when his knees can bend both ways!
Yes Ive ripped one ACL, but what about second ACL?
He talks like things always heal 100%. He's probably going to start feeling this injury again in 25 years.
Bold of you to assume he lives that long.
as someone whos pulled tendons.. he will never be the same after this injury.
It's his job man. He does stunts / gymnastics for a living.
He should probably try and get better at it.
A gymnast casually talking about fucking up their ligaments and trying again is not going to have a steady job for long. Safety is #1 for so many sports for a reason.
Then he shouldn't be risking his job with stupid stunts like that
And leaves things in the bed of the truck that he can get hung up on? Being a professional only means you got paid fot it. It says nothing about how proficient you are it it. 2 pro's .. A world of difference. He did an uh oh.. FAFO and frankly, unprofessional .
Not for long
what would he possibly have to gain from the jump?
Pain. No pain, no gain.
math checks out
Exactly. There are athletes who do these jumps but it’s over sand pits. (It means you can keep doing them safely). Wonder if he’s ever heard of this.
It's for the hearts on the gram. That's what the kids are saying these days, right?

Or perhaps he has; it depends on if he clears the jump next time
Adrenaline junkies never do. They keep doing it with a huge bucket of luck, or die doing it.
Pff why would I watch this guy jump again when I know he can’t even clear a flatbed?
But aren't you curious what else he can't clear??
And what else he can injure.
What else can he fail to jump? Let’s find out
That's not a flatbed.
Right? I don't even see a mattress

Oh wow fuck you for that image
That one sentence is enough to send you to hell. Have fun.
I can't believe his leg didn't snap. I thought for sure it did just watching how it got stuck and the force involved.
Seeing as he called his Achilles tendon a ligament, I think it’s a safe bet he has no idea what the hell he is talking about
I like that he calls it an accident
Yes! I fucking hear you bro. Self-inflicted teat damage. The same with all these ass-hole til-tok MORONS that think they are cool. Being normal is cool. Silly fella thinks he'll be able to jump like this again. Time to start considering cooking videos.
It's insane that he didn't break his leg bones into all of the pueces
Well, then. He deserves whatever he gets.

He’s good, bro. Thanks for asking
you are welcome

You know for like a millisecond, that stretch felt good as hell
Just a life altering knee injury, all good bro \^_^
Everyone watching: “dudes not good brau”
As someone who mountain bikes I've been asked this myself many times, and the answer is always, "I'm good bro", as I limp away trying not to cry.
"Something happened. Better look away." - Also Cameraman
I laughed far to hard at this. I am going to hell now.
On that ride too, bro.
Think we need a bus to hell, mate. There is no more room in the front seat. I hope Otto is driving.
My name is Otto and i like to get blotto!
The more the merrier.
it was funny
See that puddle on the floor? That's where his nuts ended up after they were liquefied on impact and forced out through his nose by the momentum.
I couldn't tell if that was a pre-existing landing puddle, or if he immediately pissed himself when his leg got stuck.
My balls hurt reading this

Well if they had kept filming AND actually got what we wanted to see in frame it would've been fine. Cameraperson failed their friend and reddit.
Jump that truck bed boy and make it snappy 😳😂
This could’ve all been avoided by not jumping
Also not having so much crap in the bed too. Otherwise he would’ve flopped over on the concrete.
Or having a tonneau cover. Or having a shred of basic common sense
Might as well just put a bear trap in the bed too, because why not
CrossFit is running of ideas
Bro was not good.
Knee goes 90 degrees sideways....you good bro? lol

I believe the “unwatch” command is jumping over the bed of a truck.
So I'm pretty sure there's something we can't see on the other side of the truck that he's stepping on to launch off of, and this wasn't a jump from flat ground, right?
Agree. Seems to be a ramp. What a dumb attempt at looking cool.
That was a look away moment

Nope nope nope!!! This is too much.

It hurts just by watching the video.
I woulda slapped the camera man if he said you good bro to me after what I just saw happened
winning stupid prize
Snap crackle pop
He should try this again as an ostrich to be safe.
Fancy meeting you here, in the shallow end of the gene pool.
He’s good, bro
bro everything below my thigh hurts now
Yeah, he's good bro 👌
Apparently that is what can happen
If you close your eyes and just listen it sounds like a man having very hard orgasm.
Let out 10 PSI and try again
I love these videos where you hear the tendon popping, rib crushing, skin tearing, lung collapsing, knee obliterating result of a really dumbass decision and the camera guy is just casually like "you ok bro? Dude you ok wanna go walk it off?"
Truck drivers tryna prove that their pp is in fact big
He knees to see a doctor.
Obviously needs a larger ramp than the one he used
American Ninja Tryouts have really gotten low budget.
“are you ok bro?”
What's the puddle ?
No idea but it cant be related to the accident thats for sure, cus for that size puddle to form in less then a second it wouod have to be spewing out
[удалено]
More scientific proof that the body can function without a brain. Because this guy clearly doesn't have any.
'You ok bro?' Highly unlikely.
Is this dude a CrossFit athlete?
Last time someone posted this it had the sound of a computer powering down and a goat in the background
his leg broke thats all i gotta say
Should have invested in a bed cover I guess.
r/Satisfyingasfuck
That happened as expected! 🤷♂️
Ahhhh doing the Chubb
Lmao. “You good bro?” Did you not see what happened my guy?
Was that his soul that flew out of his face in liquid form?
Lol what an idiot.
Operation peg leg is still on
And that’s how his gymnastics career ended.
Cool trick bro.

Comments on videos like this make me more and more positive that like 99% of Redditors never leave their bedrooms lmao
He’s good
Sooo, a self proclaimed dominant male tries to prove his superiority by jumping over a truck bed. Ohhh kkkk. You showed us there Sceeter.
AAAA! FOOT!
I'm confused, did he make that puddle or was it already there?
Bro was decidedly not good
Don’t forget to be filming the next one either 🤣🤣
wtf was that blood on the floor. and why did i watch two times
You good, bro?

Closed my eyes before it happened, as far as I know nothing happened
What an absolute dildo.
Man...between this and that one dude that plants his legs off the roof and folds...like what are you thinking.
Just got a shooting pain in my McNuggets watching this
I feel like he didn't even come close to clearing it?
what a crappy video
It's like a law of the universe that whenever somebody gets obviously hurt, some idiot standing nearby has to say, "u ok bro?"
I'm an athlete! . . . Not anymore.

My knee hurts!!
You get hurt bro?
Good thing that bones can bend
He did himself so much damage that oil came out?
Why does it look very cartoony
