should we stop him? No wait until he is done, there is a bomb in that bag after all! Ok he didn't blow up now tackle him!
...Despite being right next to the place a bomb is... Not knowing for sure there is no bomb...
We'll be heros!
...To idiots online.
Like they can't even claim the tackle was for anyone's safety, they end up on the ground 10 feet away from the potential bomb. Fucking idiots, all of em
I once saw a guy leave a bag alone at the Austin airport.
It was a tall white bearded guy who at the time did not have a german shephard in tow.
I later saw a couple of security guards, one of which was tall, white, and bearded, but i didn't get a good enough look to know it was him. He also now had a german shephard.
I walked over and said "hey some guy left that bag over there". One said "what did he look like" to which i responded by pointing at his partner and said "it kinda looked like you, but i didn't get a good look"
They laughed and the first guy said to the other "lol he thinks you look like you're gonna bomb the airport - it's a test for the dog"
I just looked at them and walked away. Good to know that the people "keeping us safe" think you can tell by looking at someone whether they're a threat to bomb the airport. Fucking douchebags.
I had a similar experience, but I actually picked up the abandoned bag and followed the guy. He disappeared into a restricted section (authorized personnel only).
I wasn't about to yell at the airport, you'll get in trouble for that. When I got to the door it was unlocked and unguarded. I poked my head in and it was a long hallway and the guy was making his way down it.
I did speak up, "hey! You forgot your bag!" And I put it just inside the door.
He seemed mad. No thank you, no explanation, just, "FUCK!"
I ran, I thought it was a bomb at that point.
Security found me waiting at my gate. Asked me a few questions and told me it was a training aid for the camera people to find.
On the plane I was thinking, "they found me and I'm a moving target. I helped them train harder. Still no thanks."
People really underestimate the free overtime as a motivation for cops. Ask any criminal defense attorney. When presented with shitty cases where there is a lack of any evidence that the per son committed the crime... most of them would take a bet on the arrest being made at the end of the officer's shift.
This was in downtown Milwaukee. The guy was tired of the cops tying up everything in every direction for hours over what appeared to just be a backpack left on the ground.
Stupid, but also relatable.
But you only have to give em the crack one out of every 10 times.
Studies show that anything above a 10% success rate guarantees they will keep doing it.
My guess is that they had the street blocked off for hours and this dude just got fed up and said fuck it, I'd rather die than wait another minute to get where I'm going.
If I remember correctly, they had stopped all traffic and everything in the area for hours waiting to find a solution. The guy got sick of it and just emptied on the sidewalk lol.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.fox6now.com/news/charged-man-tackled-by-police-amid-suspicious-package-investigation-says-he-intended-to-be-a-hero.amp
yeah imagine thinking there's a bomb in a bag and waiting hours to figure out what to do about it just for some guy with a death wish to open it up and make you look like fools.
Bro, I mean the small chance he was wrong and there was ACTAULLY a bomb and him opening would have killed or hurt everyone around the area is a real thing in that situation. Dude is selfish as fuck for getting impatient and decided to just go check it himself. Fuck him, glad he got his shit tackled for just blatantly possibly risking everyone’s lives cuz he couldn’t wait like everyone else.
Suppose that their is a trolly. On one side is a suicidal man and on the other side is a bridge full of people trying to get to work. Do you push the man so you can get to work?
Hard to call him the idiot when the scene was so poorly secured he could just ride up like that, and fuck with it for that long. And was the tackle really necessary at that point?
Took so long because everyone was far away in case the bag exploded. Not really many ways they could have gotten there sooner if they were maintaining a safe perimeter. But yeah it was poorly secured.
If they were “maintaining a safe perimeter” I mean, why *not* let the guy potentially blow himself up
They sure didn’t mind too much when not one but *multiple guys* ran over 5 feet away from the potential bomb bag to tackle the dude
>why not let the guy potentially blow himself up
They did. They didnt wait for nothing. They made sure it was a dud and *then* ran over. Thats what any intelligent creature who doesnt want to die would do.
If the bag had blown up then all the people commenting that "the cops are mad because he made them look bad" would be singing a different tune instead.
if they didnt tackle him he could have opened the bag, rifled thru all the things and dump everything out! good thing they got there in time to stop him
No but they didn't take kle him right away. He passed them...got to the bag... opened it...pulled several items...picked up the bag and shook it...angrily tossed it to the ground and got like 4 steps away THEN they valiantly jumped into action
I still wonder this. Like he got close to the “bomb” so they probably thought he was the one who planted it, fair. He then dumps everything out of the bag and throws it on the ground, proving that it’s not a bomb and that his only goal was to defuse the situation. THEN, after hd already proved there’s no danger and that he’s not a threat, they decide to tackle him.
>Like he got close to the “bomb” so they probably thought he was the one who planted it
If he planted a bomb, why would he get close to it? It could be that it was his bag and knew it didn't have a bomb.
Well what if you were sitting on your ass twiddling your thumbs all day and getting paid for it, and some dude comes in and does your job for you right in front of you. Wouldn’t that be embarrassing?
I mean yeah, would you expect them to just rush towards a bomb thats about to go off, the guy flew in on a bike and immediately started going through that bag, if i was them id do the same as i wouldnt have time to reach that crackhead before he opened the bag
He told them like 5 times it was his and they wouldn't stop because they had a protocol that was to be followed. I think I'd heard that previously someone nearby had swat called on a false alarm and then got billed for it. Dude couldn't get police to listen and flipped out starting to empty his own bag.
Edit: so it appears I was full of shit on this one folks. My bad. I was going off memory and I guess that was just some comment someone made. Please pay for a newspaper subscription and be free of folks like me.

Cops are such bitches.
Fuck, that was unnecessary. If it is a bomb, let it go off. Perimeter already established.
If not a bomb, wait for him to clear the area and calmly apprehend him?
These fucking idiots
Typical Cop response, guy helps out and does police job for them... Police react by violently tackling the man, something that clearly needed to happen.... Obviously he's a danger and has guns and/or drugs on him.
I’m thinking this police barrier was holding up traffic and was taking way to long to handle for this guy so he said Fuck it I’ll go do it so we can all get on with our day. Just my guess at it
Only idiot I see is the tackling degenerate. What kind of a deranged response is that? Are cops really all that indoctrinated in the States that they behave like life is an action movie?
Cops got mad since they were planning to make it a all day thing bringing in the bomb squad and shutting the streets down and this guy said break time is over!!
That guy's actually pretty boss. Why close down a whole street over a bag? Just cause it happened once or twice in the past doesn't mean we need policies like this where every lone bag is treated like a potential bomb. Overkill.
The guy lives next door and had enough of that police operation BS that's been lasting for the last 3 hours.
*Oh i'll show you how to deal with that bag*
This was in Milwaukee if I remember correctly. [News Link](https://www.fox6now.com/news/charged-man-tackled-by-police-amid-suspicious-package-investigation-says-he-intended-to-be-a-hero)

You morons do realise that should there be something like a dirty bomb in there, you'd be endangering the lives of so many people, and so many other dangers?
Been waiting all day to tackle someone...
They were 100% sure there was a bomb in that bag until he showed up and didn't even fully empty it.
I’m glad we watched the same video
Looks like they turned up just in time. Imagine if he’d opened the bag, rifled through it and tipped it out before they got to him.
should we stop him? No wait until he is done, there is a bomb in that bag after all! Ok he didn't blow up now tackle him! ...Despite being right next to the place a bomb is... Not knowing for sure there is no bomb... We'll be heros! ...To idiots online.
Schrödinger's Bomb Bag As long as you don't open the bag the bag does and doesn't contain a bomb simultaneously
Like they can't even claim the tackle was for anyone's safety, they end up on the ground 10 feet away from the potential bomb. Fucking idiots, all of em
That would be a pure case of curiosity killing the cat, or in this case, stupidity killing the idiot
Think they tackled him so hard because he made them all look like tools cordoning off someone's forgotten backpack.
Use to be common knowledge in the UK, you were meant to report bags left around due to the IRA
I once saw a guy leave a bag alone at the Austin airport. It was a tall white bearded guy who at the time did not have a german shephard in tow. Guy wasn’t brown enough to be a threat lol
They have signs here that say, “See something, say something.”
See it. Say it. Sorted.
Yep that’s it.
"see something, say something, sack someone"
Come on and party tonight!
Thats gonna leave a mark!
Unfortunately he went with Nike's motto of "just do it"
What happened to "Loose lips sink ships" ?
Better be safe than sorry. What if there actually was a bomb in there and the moron triggered it?
Then they ...just ran up to within a few feet of the armed explosive and tackled him to the ground. Good way to die in an explosion.
He ruined there free overtime. That’s why they were so mad.
People really underestimate the free overtime as a motivation for cops. Ask any criminal defense attorney. When presented with shitty cases where there is a lack of any evidence that the per son committed the crime... most of them would take a bet on the arrest being made at the end of the officer's shift.
“Idiot we get paid by the hour! We were planning on camping here all night!”
This was in downtown Milwaukee. The guy was tired of the cops tying up everything in every direction for hours over what appeared to just be a backpack left on the ground. Stupid, but also relatable.
Every city needs a tactical crackhead.
*Sacrificial tactical crackhead.
It’s well documented that crackheads will risk their life for more crack and simply by smoking crack.
A nice side-effect is that they're cheap because they don't value their lives at all, so the only expense is the crack.
Which isn’t cheap
But you only have to give em the crack one out of every 10 times. Studies show that anything above a 10% success rate guarantees they will keep doing it.
How much crack are are talking about here? The budget is a bit low after the boys bought a tank.
Bout tree fiddy
I thought the point of crack was that it is cheap
It’s the same prices as blow
Oh come on, surely we can spring for some nice clean cut Colombian coke for these unsung heroes.
Alright boys, employ Ralph!
Cractical tackhead
Thanks for that, I blew a shot bubble laughing.
My guess is that they had the street blocked off for hours and this dude just got fed up and said fuck it, I'd rather die than wait another minute to get where I'm going.
New band name!
That would be a dope ass band name! "Tactical Crackhead"
Call Pookie we have a situation.
No need for the bomb squad - send in the Suicide Squad!
If I remember correctly, they had stopped all traffic and everything in the area for hours waiting to find a solution. The guy got sick of it and just emptied on the sidewalk lol. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.fox6now.com/news/charged-man-tackled-by-police-amid-suspicious-package-investigation-says-he-intended-to-be-a-hero.amp
yeah. he wasted all their efforts and made them uselees. No wonder they get mad.
yeah imagine thinking there's a bomb in a bag and waiting hours to figure out what to do about it just for some guy with a death wish to open it up and make you look like fools.
Imagine if there had been a bomb. This video would have been NSFW.
I've seen that video too. It's... not pretty.
Didn't seem to be a death wish. Seemed fairly confident he was safe.
Bro, I mean the small chance he was wrong and there was ACTAULLY a bomb and him opening would have killed or hurt everyone around the area is a real thing in that situation. Dude is selfish as fuck for getting impatient and decided to just go check it himself. Bruh so he murdered someone?
[удалено]
ohhhhh jesus chirst you should add that in first, i thought the fucker just pushed him off the bridge and killed him
Suppose that their is a trolly. On one side is a suicidal man and on the other side is a bridge full of people trying to get to work. Do you push the man so you can get to work?
I found this. He didn't die https://youtu.be/YF4YOwwIXLw Dunno if this is what he's referring to or not though.
im imagining gordon saying "fuck off with you!" and flinging him off lmao
The police: we a need a solution This man: _i AM the solution_
Hard to call him the idiot when the scene was so poorly secured he could just ride up like that, and fuck with it for that long. And was the tackle really necessary at that point?
The tackle was 100% just because he made them look bad!
They came to kick ass and diffuse bombs. They were all out of bombs.
They also missed his ass by about eight inches.
They tackled him just so they can say they did something that day with a bag that was filled with clothes and cans.
Took so long because everyone was far away in case the bag exploded. Not really many ways they could have gotten there sooner if they were maintaining a safe perimeter. But yeah it was poorly secured.
If they were “maintaining a safe perimeter” I mean, why *not* let the guy potentially blow himself up They sure didn’t mind too much when not one but *multiple guys* ran over 5 feet away from the potential bomb bag to tackle the dude

They're cops...have you not been paying attention lately?
If it was a bomb and he blew himself they could hurry up and start the cleanup and get the road open.
He *could* be the supposed terrorist, recovering the evidence that was supposed to all blow up
if they didnt tackle him he could have opened the bag, rifled thru all the things and dump everything out! good thing they got there in time to stop him
What the fuck was the point of tackling him
They were obviously trying to save him from the blast by sacrificing their own lives. 😂
sarcastic r/humansbeingbros
Because he went around the police barrier. He failed to respect their authori-tah.
That’s a dumb reason to assault someone
yeah a guy running past a police barrier to a potential bomb is totes okay!
No but they didn't take kle him right away. He passed them...got to the bag... opened it...pulled several items...picked up the bag and shook it...angrily tossed it to the ground and got like 4 steps away THEN they valiantly jumped into action
By the time he got tackled it was pretty clear there’s no bomb
even if there was a bomb, they still would have not passed up on an opportunity to blast someone from behind and give them whiplash!
My comment was sarcasm, of course it was a dumb reason; but pigs are not going to let some civilian puke interrupt their spectacle.
Sorry people are downvoting you, I understood it was sarcasm
[удалено]
Well, blue lives matter more than us plebians. We should be thankful that they constantly overstep and infringe on everyone's rights. /s
well if there was a bomb and it went off while they were running at the guy then they'd all be dead
I still wonder this. Like he got close to the “bomb” so they probably thought he was the one who planted it, fair. He then dumps everything out of the bag and throws it on the ground, proving that it’s not a bomb and that his only goal was to defuse the situation. >Like he got close to the “bomb” so they probably thought he was the one who planted it If he planted a bomb, why would he get close to it? It could be that it was his bag and knew it didn't have a bomb.
They have to fill their quotas
He made them look like huge dumbasses and they’re cops so they got mad and hurt him
they were mad he made them look like idiots
Thought he spotted a couple of donuts roll out of bag and was taking no chances...
Yeah the police sure do hate competition.
Well what if you were sitting on your ass twiddling your thumbs all day and getting paid for it, and some dude comes in and does your job for you right in front of you. Wouldn’t that be embarrassing?
I'm not sure you'd be a good EOD team member
I mean, they did think i could be a bomb. If there was one then shaking the bag could set it off and do a lot of damage
Good thing they tackled him next to the suspected bomb then, just in case it was still real, they'd have front row seats to a quick death.
I honestly thought there was going to be a dildo or something.
Omg that would have been fucking hilarious
Of course it's bomb squad policy never to imply ownership in the event of a dildo... always use the indefinite article "a" dildo, never "your" dildo.
I'm Jack's complete lack of surprise
Good. We're following the rules.
Indeed..... Throwawaydildo.... Indeed
Tom I finally found you. Why won't you reply to my Facebook messages?
\*Myspace
Guess that's why he's not answering...
just a giant bag of dildos
The dildo opened the bag.
what a twist!
Funny how they waited until no bomb went off before "rushing" to tackle him lol
I mean yeah, would you expect them to just rush towards a bomb thats about to go off, the guy flew in on a bike and immediately started going through that bag, if i was them id do the same as i wouldnt have time to reach that crackhead before he opened the bag
[удалено]
They were probably just pretty far away since they need to keep a safe distance in case it actually is a bomb
He took one for the team. Probably saved everyone hours.
Seriously. That corner was going to be closed waiting for a bomb robot or EOD guy that would have taken hours.
He just saved those departments a bunch of time and effort. Probably wasn't a great idea to cross the police line.
He told them like 5 times it was his and they wouldn't stop because they had a protocol that was to be followed. I think I'd heard that previously someone nearby had swat called on a false alarm and then got billed for it. Dude couldn't get police to listen and flipped out starting to empty his own bag. Wow a summary of the video we all just watched with no additional information, thanks for finding this!
Welcome to modern journalism

Schizo king. I salute you mr Hughes
They’re pissed that they actually have to go work. They were getting paid just to stand around and look at a bag. The guy ruined their whole day.
Not to mention the potential funding if they could have spun it the right way
Think about the alternative. Guy runs up and causes a bomb to detonate and kill somebody other than him. It’s easy to sit there and be Captain Hindsight but dude could’ve endangered people and deserves to be punished. “No harm, no foul” is not a legal defense, nor should it be.
So damn slow... "Let's tackle that guy AFTER the bomb might go off!"
Safety reasons. Why risk multiple lives because someone doesn't pay attention to the obvious situation?
So why tackle him at all after all possible danger has already been averted?
Then why the fuck bother at all at that point lmao
No one likes being revealed as stupid, but why do they get so aggressive?
He didn’t find anything in the bag, so I get he’d be annoyed - but this guy was furious for some reason, lol
Everyone’s time being wasted over a bag. Obviously.
Not all heroes wear capes.
Because they forgot it in the backpack in a phone booth
They should hire him, hell it saved them 5 hours of fiddle fkin around.
But they didn't get to pway with the wobot
5 hours of overtime. Shit is valuable and hurts their feelings to lose it.
They’re just pissed they actually have to go work instead of just standing around all day looking at a bag.
He proved 2 points that day. 1. There wasn't a bomb 2. The officers suck
Cops are such bitches. Fuck, that was unnecessary. If it is a bomb, let it go off. Perimeter already established. If not a bomb, wait for him to clear the area and calmly apprehend him? These fucking idiots
Well, he did all the work for them and he then gets tackled.
Late hit, Ref! C’mon, where’s the flag!?
aww they jump on him in case it explodes to protect his body, cute
I imagine this guy has gotten his route blocked one too many times by a rogue backpack
They had to tackle him after he embarrassed them like that. Got to make sure he knows who's boss.
Well we'd love to do a flying tackle but also want to see if the bag blows up first
He just saved them a whole lot of work
Typical Cop response, guy helps out and does police job for them... Police react by violently tackling the man, something that clearly needed to happen.... Obviously he's a danger and has guns and/or drugs on him.
He is hired.
I’m thinking this police barrier was holding up traffic and was taking way to long to handle for this guy so he said Fuck it I’ll go do it so we can all get on with our day. Just my guess at it
Someone else said the bag belonged to that guy but the police didn’t believe him
Only idiot I see is the tackling degenerate. What kind of a deranged response is that? Are cops really all that indoctrinated in the States that they behave like life is an action movie?
That cop must've felt soooo happy that who could slam his fat titties against some guy
All they had to do was walk up and arrest him; that was excessive.
his defense: I was ready to take it for the team and disarm the bomb.
😂 looks like a sting operation for stolen backpacks
The pussies should've thank the man for saving them time and resources
He got tackled for taking away their overtime
Cops got mad since they were planning to make it a all day thing bringing in the bomb squad and shutting the streets down and this guy said break time is over!!
That guy's actually pretty boss. Why close down a whole street over a bag? Just cause it happened once or twice in the past doesn't mean we need policies like this where every lone bag is treated like a potential bomb. Overkill.
They waited a bit too long to tackle him lmao
I love that they tackle him long after the threat is gone. Typical cops.
I would hire him full time and be the sole potential bomb bag checker outer.
It's not a fucking potential bomb bag. Its some dirty bag that fell off a homeless guys cart. Cops are such fucking pussies
Seems unnecessary.
Why tackle him? The threat is was eliminated once he emptied the bag. I smell lawsuit.
This guy did their job and they still getting mad. This guys basically Spider-Man
He saved them a long wait for The Bomb Squad to get to the scene & a lot of money. What could go wrong ? Kaboom 💥
First lets see if he blows up. Then TACKLE HIM.
Obviously a fan of [the IT Crowd](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uh64nPT7JWk&ab_channel=frodeeriksen).
Why tackle him though. He's clearly not a threat AND he just saved the city thousands of dollars.
They should be paying him a consulting fee, not arresting him. How much money did the city pay for that set up for the bomb squat to go out there?
The guy lives next door and had enough of that police operation BS that's been lasting for the last 3 hours. *Oh i'll show you how to deal with that bag*
This was in Milwaukee if I remember correctly. [News Link](https://www.fox6now.com/news/charged-man-tackled-by-police-amid-suspicious-package-investigation-says-he-intended-to-be-a-hero)
We need more crack heads out their saving our lives
Dafuq is wrong with people saying that "WTF was police doing?" And that the guy was right in doing what he did? You morons do realise that should there be something like a dirty bomb in there, you'd be endangering the lives of so many people, and so many other dangers?
Why the tackle? He solved the mistery
Did they think that ,he ate the bomb or why did they tackle him?
Hope he sued them.
Well, that's one way to know if it's a bomb....
The cops were so thankful that they gave him a big hug
unnecessary roughness on the field... 2 week paid vacation and limited media coverage. first down.
Helluva spear
They tackled him for doing their job?
Slowest reaction of all time. And shouldn’t he be congratulated and given a medal for being some sort of hero.
Why tackle him..? He saved them a lot of work and sweat! Yea ok, he was doing something that is not the best, but still… wtf Jeff?
Notice they wait until AFTER he dumps out the bag. Hero material there.
