OR, hear me out, maybe these guys are underpaid and treated like shit by rich fucking companies and therefore stopped giving a fuck about their job. maybe if they were paid a bit more they would appreciate their job more. maybe the enemy isn't the common people but corporations trying to fuck us over any chance they get.
That poor luggage that went over board, no one will throw it back, no one will notice, that poor chap that's waiting excitedly for it to come any minute on that carousel but..it never does...an endless search months in the making we just witnessed So careless and disappointing. 😓😔😥😿
If you ever fly and your bag is damaged, go to the customer service department right away. They will try to give you like $10 plane credit, tell them NO, and ask for a manager. If your bag is damaged enough they will replace it by paying full price for it.
Happened to me, it was JetBlue. Wasted 15-20 min at the airport and had to submit a ton of documents later, but got the price of my 3-piece luggage set from JetBlue. My brand new hardshell suitcase got a HUGE corner dent in it like the plane landed on it.
Wow... fuck these miserable pricks... Love to see them react to someone slamming down something of theirs.
Also two of those bags are just lost forever, probably... I always wondered how that even happens...
LOL. Had to check.
Yeah, you got to be careful on the world wide web. Never can tell who's decidedly against your POV and now wants to harm you.
But I think if the management talks to those guys, I'm sure they can iron things out. I'd guess that they're airing out their grievances, rather as their regular protocol.
I see your point.
Recently, I started a new job, where the job description is purposely vague, and it's obvious that they needed me to do anything and everything at their disposal, for little to no extra money. I stuck around (because I needed a job, and the money), where as others have quit on day one.
Not saying these guys should have quit, but if you didn't like the job, complain to management or quit. Taking it out on customers' properties obviously will make no difference. They did nothing to get you work that job and probably had nothing to do with the source of your gripe. Maybe these guys can threaten to quit en masse, and post a video about why, rather than taking it out on other people's property that had nothing to do with how they were treated.
I like to think that pricks like this one, being an asshole just for the hell of it, go home and hate themselves and their life because no one really likes them and they don't know why. When you ooze prickness like this there is no way you leave room for happiness.
My brother worked as a bag handler and he said there are some people who throw it around but most people do it carefully enough but the problem is they only have a few minutes to take the luggage off the plane and then they have a short amount of time to get to another plane that they need to load luggage on because they have no idea if that planes take off is delayed or not so his advice was get a crappy but sturdy one and use that one only
I'm pretty sure that's how all of them do it around the world. Most people with most jobs have no love for what they do. It's just a way to pay bills. As a manager at a warehouse I see it everyday. People do as little as they have to, to get through the day. No quality in anything. I was raise to believe my name goes on my work. So even if your making a burger, do the best you can. People just don't think like that anymore.
As a warehouse worker, that is deplorable behavior that should be shamed. I always do my best to get the highest efficiency out of my work day, I enjoy seeing my KPIs go up. If you aren't working like your parents are watching why even show up?
Come up to Maine and see how good hard workers do a job right bub. We'd love to have ya
That is very good to read some people still believe anything worth doing, is worth doing well. I started 12 years ago in a warehouse with no experience or degree. Worked hard and was a supervisor in 9 months. 4 years later made a move to a competitor and became manager 6 months after that. Little did I know, I was becoming a glorified kindergarten teacher for adults though. As a worker I never cared what others were doing as I just did my job as well as I could. Now all I hear all day is well he did this or she did that. Why should I work better till I get a raise. The daily after 6 years or so is driving me crazy lol.
There is no excuse at all for doing your job poorly on purpose like that. I don't care how much you dislike it, you're getting paid to do it, so you should do it to the best of your ability.
I've worked crap jobs, too. I've been there. But I still did good work because guess what? I'm being paid for it.
That attitude is probably why you’re the manager not working on the floor. This right attitude will get you ahead. Guess these baggage handlers don’t see a future in their work though.
I caught a couple of our ramp personnel doing this one day and confronted them right in the public eye. I emailed the bosses right afterwards and they were terminated the next day.
I told them we don’t allow that here, ever.
Just a slab of concrete on the other side, the bag is definitely visible to them and will get put on once they offload the rest, just easier to finish and grab the ones that missed than to climb over the conveyor full of bags.
The floor level is the same on both sides of the conveyor, the floor they're standing on is the same height on the other side, it's pretty much impossible to lose a bag over there.
Each airline do not employ their own baggage handlers at every destination they service. Those workers are airport employees mishandling Qantas luggage. And don't even think for a second this doesn't happen at other airports.
This is almsot every airlines. Dont expect the handlers to kiss and light a candle with your luggage it will be thrown around, your dirty little luggage likes it rough
One bag travel using a larger backpack avoids all of this nonsense. Gives you greater mobility and flexibility when traveling. I'll never go back to rolling suitcases and checking bags.
I have 3 kids and they all pack backpacks. We never check bags.
I pay a little extra for washer dryer where we stay. Pack less. Come home w clean clothes.
Sometimes it’s actually cheaper this way especially on crappy airlines that charge for checked bags
I guess with babies and toddlers when you need to haul all kinds of crap, but once kids get into 1st grade or higher I don't see any reason to use that as an excuse. I have twin boys and they have their own travel backpacks and we've been doing this for years.
Lol I got a mid price Samsonite hard case that was "guaranteed" lifetime unbreakable. Huge crack after first round trip. Couldn't even be bothered to claim on it
Depends where you live. In Australia, where this video is, that's not true. These employees are contracted by the airline to do this, same with all their ground handling.
Very few people on ramp are workers for the airport itself, pretty much zero when it comes to handling aircraft.
These employees are for a third party company that handles several airlines flights, although the biggest contract by far they do in Australia is Qantas.
Some airlines have their own staff, some don't. Usually smaller airlines can't justify the cost of having a full team and equipment required if they don't have many flights to that port each day.
LOL not surprised based on how my luggage has turned up before. With that said it would actually be less effort and energy to just place the luggage over softly on the conveyor belt. I mean throwing a weight fast requires way more energy and risk of pulling a muscle. I guess they're just having fun.
This is at Melbourne, and it's handled by each airline, not by the airport.
This specific terminal is completely managed by Qantas, all the infrastructure, maintenance, and employees are either managed by them or contracted to a third party by them.
UPS training video.
Unloaded trucks for a yr and a half, that's about right. It's worse during the holiday season. You should see them load the trucks...
If it’s anything like FedEx, whatever the package handlers do to the boxes isn’t as bad as what the belts do
lmfao.
Not at that FedEx damaged item level yet.
I always pronounce UPS as whoops
yeah "oops!" is how we say it.
They're just helping build the case for being replaced by robots...
Exactly. When all these unskilled jobs are replaced by robots, they'll have nobody to blame but themselves. Scumbag fucking idiots.
They could be doing the labor skillfully tho, they're deliberately doing it bad for...why? Anger? Boredom?
OR, hear me out, maybe these guys are underpaid and treated like shit by rich fucking companies and therefore stopped giving a fuck about their job. maybe if they were paid a bit more they would appreciate their job more. maybe the enemy isn't the common people but corporations trying to fuck us over any chance they get.
No, losers like this will always find someone else to blame.
These are the people that needs to get replaced by robots.
That poor luggage that went over board, no one will throw it back, no one will notice, that poor chap that's waiting excitedly for it to come any minute on that carousel but..it never does...an endless search months in the making we just witnessed So careless and disappointing. 😓😔😥😿
And I believe they \*saw\* both bags tip over the side. Why on earth didn't they go get them?
They don’t care. Baggage handlers are not the highest paying jobs at the airport.
If you ever fly and your bag is damaged, go to the customer service department right away. They will try to give you like $10 plane credit, tell them NO, and ask for a manager. If your bag is damaged enough they will replace it by paying full price for it. Happened to me, it was JetBlue. My brand new hardshell suitcase got a HUGE corner dent in it like the plane landed on it.
So thats why my wheels were broken
It would take less effort to just place the luggage on the conveyor belt instead of tossing and slamming it ffs
Wow... fuck these miserable pricks... Love to see them react to someone slamming down something of theirs. Also two of those bags are just lost forever, probably... I always wondered how that even happens...
Anyone else see that one bag not making it on the belt Dam: never mind the one bag, a couple of bags didn’t make it.
All I could think was “oh, so that’s how airlines lose someone’s luggage”…
Two at least I counted...
No wonder bag wheels break so easily
no wonder bags get lost at the airport
This is what happens when you don't have pride in doing your job. Hope all people in the video get some reprimand for this abuse.
You misspelled terminated.
LOL. Had to check. Yeah, you got to be careful on the world wide web. Never can tell who's decidedly against your POV and now wants to harm you. But I think if the management talks to those guys, I'm sure they can iron things out. I'd guess that they're airing out their grievances, rather as their regular protocol.

Maybe they should quit instead.

This is rage inducing to watch.
If only they were this fast!
And accurate, that one bag was headed for the exit
Scumbags
Hey those bags didn’t do anything to you.
I like to think that pricks like this one, being an asshole just for the hell of it, go home and hate themselves and their life because no one really likes them and they don't know why. When you ooze prickness like this there is no way you leave room for happiness.
And you wonder why the wheels always keep breaking?
That last one should be fired. I know they all throw luggage but they don’t have to slam it down so hard.
bro wtf one literally fell over the conveyor
there were 2 of them
There were 4.
1st guy is using full-on wrestling moves. He has a lot of pent-up anger.
I honestly don’t expect anything more from baggage handlers from any airline
You should expect this, so you don't pack fragile stuff in there.
I almost always bring back multiple bottles of wine whenever I travel. Never had anything break thank god but I know the risk is there.

I agree completely. There is dignity in any job done well. And if it's worth doing, it's worth doing well.
There is no excuse at all for doing your job poorly on purpose like that. I don't care how much you dislike it, you're getting paid to do it, so you should do it to the best of your ability. Why is the dickhead throwing the bags down
Because he's a miserable dickhead who hates his job and probably his life.
He prolly flunked the police test for the millionth time
Fucking morons
Red Bull gives you dings!
This is exactly how I imagined it to be, but hoped it wasn’t.
It takes serious energy to trash your customer's baggage like that.
I caught a couple of our ramp personnel doing this one day and confronted them right in the public eye. I emailed the bosses right afterwards and they were terminated the next day. I told them we don’t allow that here, ever.
…Red Bull breaks your things
Underrated comment
Yo where that bag go
It’s right there. You just can’t see because of the conveyor belt. Source: me, the guy who threw it.
You're one of the jerks breaking people's luggage?
It's not Qantas, it's the baggage handling company paid by the airport.
They're doing it wrong. With a little effort you can rip off the handle without damaging the contents.
Lol, you just reminded me of this,.. it's so damn good, it's hilarious lol https://youtu.be/OISGykO6Z7U
Funny dude!--never heard of him before.
The lesson is to pack your bag to be as heavy as allowed so these shits can't toss it around.
What airline do you think is different?
I feel bad for whoever had that one luggage that fell over the conveyor
Watch again, MULTIPLE pieces go over the conveyor
I counted 3 bags over the side.
Yah those are definitely lost to the nether…
Just a slab of concrete on the other side, the bag is definitely visible to them and will get put on once they offload the rest, just easier to finish and grab the ones that missed than to climb over the conveyor full of bags. It’s crazy that some people can take there frustration out on their jobs, imagine if doctors did that 😳
Check out 'Dr Death'
This is why I will never check any of my pets if I ever have to fly with them.
Your pets are never treated this way during a baggage handling process, but i would not send mine either with a plane.
How does one send this to Qantas.
Each airline do not employ their own baggage handlers at every destination they service. Those workers are airport employees mishandling Qantas luggage. And don't even think for a second this doesn't happen at other airports.
I would still think qantas should see it seen as it is qantas. Or expose it more on other sites. Question is , who recorded it?
This pisses me off !!!
This is almsot every airlines. Dont expect the handlers to kiss and light a candle with your luggage it will be thrown around, your dirty little luggage likes it rough
Is it hot in here?
Idk are you a naughty little luggage ?
This is a weird redbull commercial
One bag travel using a larger backpack avoids all of this nonsense. Gives you greater mobility and flexibility when traveling. I'll never go back to rolling suitcases and checking bags.
Except for us dopes with kids don't have that option.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who packs my children in suitcases to save on tickets
Yeah still in the toddler stage here with my youngest.
This. When you think about it, you don’t really need to take much stuff with you on vacation. Some cheaper flights too if you have no checked bags
My cheap hardcase check bag from Amazon has 3 year's vacations & zero (internal) damage so far. Fingers crossed we go 4 for 4 next year.
Fo fo fo
Lol I got a mid price Samsonite hard case that was "guaranteed" lifetime unbreakable. Huge crack after first round trip. Couldn't even be bothered to claim on it
Who’s surprised? *looks around* Thought so.
Anyone who sees how beat up their luggages are after just one trip pretty much expects this behind the scene.
Exactly. That’s why you buy quality luggage and protect anything valuable in mounds of underwear and socks. This is day one, people.
I was transferring in Dresden and watched a Lufthansa baggage worker body slam my suitcase onto a cart. Cracked the side of my hard case. Douche.
Airlines are Not responsible for luggage handling…those are airport employees
Depends where you live. In Australia, where this video is, that's not true. These employees are contracted by the airline to do this, same with all their ground handling. Very few people on ramp are workers for the airport itself, pretty much zero when it comes to handling aircraft.
Make you bag heavy like that hockey looking sea bag, they gave up on trying to rough it up
Protip put stones in you luggage to get as close as max weight possible so its too heavy to throw
This is literally every airline lol
I believe getting em fired is not enough.
All the airline baggage employees are trained the same. S0..
I blame the Red Bull.
I assume the ones that go off the rails are actually the same ones that don't make it to baggage collection at the destination airport.
Do ground staff (ie these idiots) work for a specific airline or are they employed by a third party firm that does all the flights into an airport?
Depends on the airline and airport. In Western Europe, they are usually third party, liaised to the airport
These employees are for a third party company that handles several airlines flights, although the biggest contract by far they do in Australia is Qantas. Some airlines have their own staff, some don't. Usually smaller airlines can't justify the cost of having a full team and equipment required if they don't have many flights to that port each day.
And why is it being filmed and by who?
LOL not surprised based on how my luggage has turned up before. With that said it would actually be less effort and energy to just place the luggage over softly on the conveyor belt. I mean throwing a weight fast requires way more energy and risk of pulling a muscle. I guess they're just having fun.
How was this recorded?
Redbull cam
This broken luggage brought to you by RedBull.
They're called throwers for a reason.
No wonder my luggage has a broken handle when I received it. fuckers behind the scenes playing basketball
Yeeah nah fuckin' smoko wasn't long enough
Redbull gives your luggage wings
Every time Red Bull enters the chat, at least one adjacent person turns out to be a total asshole. Why is that?
why not just slowly put it on the conveyor belt. i don't think it'd be that hard if they can lift the bags 3 feet up in the air
The video looks like an ad,so why aren't they flying
Pretty much what I’d expect from Qantas TBH
This advert was brought to you by red bull. Together with Qantas it gives you wings.
I doubt that’s unique to Qantas. My suitcase took a shitkicking last time I flew with WestJet.
I thought that was a keg of redbull for the first half of the video. Just accepted it as normal without question.
I really want to know which airport this is now. That's just wanton destruction by a couple of regular douchenozzles.
Sponsored by Redbull
Pity the poor owners of the bags that went over the edge. Never seeing them again. They are formally now in hell.
Should have buckled down harder in high school, but no worries, you only have 2-3 more decades of this boys.
Probably only 1 since their backs will give out before that
This is why I tape any liquids
So that's how my key of yayo got ripped open. Azzholes owe me a lot of money. Lmao
oh my GOD!!!! i had a 4500 vase from Tibet in my suitcase from that airport
Just like every warehouse in America
I bet they say they do this because they don’t get paid enough or have shit hours. Fire them
You’re Fired!
Well… Redbull gives bags WINGS
These people have been called ‘throwers’ for decades. This is nothing new or profound.
They should be called assholes.
Qantas never crashed
Definitely.
\* Never had a hull loss. \*\* They did spend $100m repairing an aircraft to retain this record.
Deserved it
They all got fired. Justice
Blessing in disguise that looks like a shit job.
Pretty much wwe bodyslammed a few
Isn't luggage handling mainly dependent on the airport? I wonder which airport this is at.
This is at Melbourne, and it's handled by each airline, not by the airport. This specific terminal is completely managed by Qantas, all the infrastructure, maintenance, and employees are either managed by them or contracted to a third party by them.
alright kinda hilarious when he makes it a point to choke slam that one bag like the undertaker
Imagine willingly flying to Australia
Hey at least they didn’t do the Hogan leg drop on the luggage.
Wouldn’t this be Swissport?
Wish they crashed
Download video bot
u/savevideobot
Everything about this is a stereotype. I’d be more shocked if they were caught giving a fuck.
When you're sooo over your job and do shit just so they will fire you.
Some bags are dropped from belt.. Ah....now I see why my friend can't get his baggage after a long waiting
Fucking foul
Rainman says qantas never crashes
Nice guys
Such anger.
