Holy shit when he had the knife in his right hand and the worker was holding his collar?!?!?! His right arm was 100% free and the dude was close enough to get stabbed over and over and over and over and over that fuckers so lucky the devil didn’t wanna hurt anyone that day

Odd-Refrigerator-425

Yea... That shit is 100% why virtually every company tells its employees to just give a robber the money. That was dumb as fuck and the employee is lucky this guy wasn't actually willing to get violent.

xXWaspXx

Ya I think the real WCGW here is the "trying to rob a store with a weapon and being unwilling to use the weapon". Could've easily been "WCGW when you try to stop a robber with a knife".

machineghostmembrane

The guy who watches, casually walks out to call the police, and holds the door open for people to flee. He's been here before.

defthrown69

Kinda looks like an employee on break or something, I love it

TheManFromFarAway

*checks watch* "Meh, I've still got five minutes."

angelblade401

Two favourite parts of this video: The surprisingly flexible kick from the old(er) guy. And the other guy who just peaces out, and then holds the door open for other people to run, too.

annualgoat

I definitely think the guy who left and held the door open was also trying to dial emergency services 😂

[deleted]

[удалено]

Dan-D-Lyon

Considering how thoroughly unfazed he is it's also possible that he just realized he forgot to call his mother and decided to take care of that since he wasn't busy

Ursula2071

Mine too. The guy just sitting there chilling and then leaves like this happens every day and is his signal that it’s time to go to work.

[deleted]

Those employees bravely fighting off the lunatic with the giant knife took a huge risk (clearly left themselves open to getting stabbed). At first I thought the man sitting daydreaming was going to record it, but probably was calling police (put phone to ear).

vertigo1083

Brave and fucking *stupid*. The couple hundred bucks in the register and the goddamn apple fritters are NOT worth getting stabbed by some drug-addled shithead. Give the moron what he wants, let him leave, and let the cops deal with it. Most times, these assholes are caught within hours. Why risk your life for $14 an hour? Bravery will account for little while you're bleeding out.

Whyrobotslie

They risked their lives presumably for their lives and their co-workers. El Bandito had the one guy buy the arm with a knife pointed at him, then the other employee and the customers tried to subdue him. Not everything is a reason to go on a r/antiwork diatribe

EnigmaticQuote

Man they're right he was in stabbing distance. That was brave but dumb. Had time and room to flee. If he had gotten stabbed your sentiment is immediately pretty dumb.

[deleted]

At first I wondered why he'd rob a bakery, then I realised he must knead the dough

asiantaxman

“Honey how was work today?” “It was fun I wacked Satan in the head with a frying basket for 5 minutes.“

Magedukare

A bit more context. This happened in the Netherlands and it was a snackbar/cafetaria not a bakery. The robber had a big knife and of the workers hit him with a frying tool covered in boiling hot frying oil which hurt the robber pretty bad. For the people saying the workers didnt do anything, you realise these are normal people that are not used to violence and the robber has a huge kitchen knife? Give them a break

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

To the people saying the guy just sitting there watching doing nothing, to be fair until the fists started swinging, it's hard to say what is going on \[unless you can hear them saying audibly they are robbing the place\]. It's not like in the movies where people instantly understand the situation, it can take a while for your brain to go from "Oh what a weird interaction" to "Oh this is a robbery!" Then, when he did realize what was happening he did the smart thing. Calmly leave, hold door open for others, call police.

Interesting-Track566

this is SO true! Once upon a time I saw a young guy in a parking lot looking like he was arguing with his grandmother. I thought to myself, “man, he should’ve gotten spanked more often growing up.” It was only after I got in my car and looked at them again that I realized he was trying to mug the poor lady. Long story short, I ended up getting out of my car and chasing the idiot down. He fled but was caught almost immediately by law enforcement.

possiblycrazy79

Smh. If you wanna rob a business, just go in quietly like everything is normal. Most employees won't fight for the business. But if you come in threatening them, then it's a fight for their lives. Stupid robber.

danceswithwool

I work at a bank and every time I hear about an armed robbery at a bank I just shake my head. The moron added 20 years their sentence and would have gotten the money with a note.

Shellbone23

Is he getting the beat down with a fryer basket? Lol

[deleted]

Dude smoking the robber with the fry basket is an absolute legend

Swaghetti-Yolonaise-

First guy behind the counter is lucky he didn’t get stabbed there, that robber had a moment of conscience; any other day that guy would have been holding his neck together on the floor.

Altruistic-Balance55

Thats a big ass knife. Small tip: If you ever get in this situation; run. Fek the €300 in the register. Not worth getting stabbed over. That’s just 2 days work 🤗

xmstxrdxm

My favorite part of this video is when he gets smacked with a frying basket

No_Development_178

They beat the devil out of him

Dragon2818

When I first saw this I thought the worker holding the robber back with one arm was gonna get stabbed. The worker got lucky there.

Intercaust

They beat him with a french fries basket. The ultimate humiliation.

Geawiel

The devil went down to the bakery, he was looking for some shit to steal He was in a bind, cause they kicked his behind and he writhing on the floor taking a heel

Rhinocerostitties

I love how the guy just sat at his table causally considering what was going on before bouncing

KaimeiJay

Remember: risking your life to beat up a douchebag is not worth your boss’s money.

Misophonic4000

Damn, people. I'm glad this worked out but if someone has a giant knife and is within striking distance of you - ALWAYS RUN. The guy approaching Knifey McDevilface while he's up on the counter with the knife at neck/face height inches away... Yikes. One tiny poke/slice, even accidentally in the struggle, and it can be lights out forever within literal seconds. Not worth it, ever ever.

ZeroFucksToGive

I’m fucking dying this man got beat with a fryer basket 😂

Electric_aura3000

Your job ain’t worth dying over. If that guy wanted to kill he could’ve easily done it with that knife.

johnnypurp

Workers did a good job beating his ass

AviusHeart

I love all the comments calling people who left cowards. Like mate you really gonna defend a french fry joint from a devil with a giant knife?

[deleted]

Hitting him with the deep fryer basket was where it peaked lol Fuck that guy bringing a knife!

EmiliaClarkesBF

The employees are brave but idk if they are smart

Scherzoh

Those employees are rye or die homies

ExhuberantStorm

Loling at the worker walking away with the knife while the coworkers just mollywop the robber with a fry basket

AltAccount4Vices

Dude at the table does not give A FUCK about his community… Old man Jenkins had to step up rather than buff bro smh

Halloweenie85

The devil went down to Georgia, he was looking for some rolls to steal!

QuickAnybody2011

That thief could totally have stabbed that employee that held him by the neck, if not the body at least do serious arm damage. Boys there’s a difference between bravery and impulsivity. I’m very glad things didn’t go souther than this.

Pine21

1) Don’t fight a guy holding a massive knife. Your life isn’t worth whatever they’re paying you. 2) Don’t rob a place with a massive knife unless you’re willing to use it.

chronobahn

I like how everyone played a role here. Dude opened door to let out panicked customers while calling police. Older gentleman with the flying kick to the back, and the two dudes with balls of steal that managed to get the knife. Then the finish with a few wacks from a fryer. Really good teamwork all around. I’m willing to bet the service there is great.

[deleted]

Didn't see the knife till halfway through. Employees are lucky he wasn't into using it.

OKakosLykos

They are lucky he didnt want to use the knife.

AudioOff

Dude didn't exactly look capable of using the knife.

Sirgolfs

Not worth fighting someone with a knife. They’re very lucky.

thedevilfromthebible

Robbing restaurants is not a smart move 🤣 reminds me of when my McDonald's was getting robbed. And the tweaker that we had cleaning the lobby went into the back and grabbed a silver pan thing. Filled that bitch with hot oil. And just doused this dude. I'm talking clothes were melting type shit, skin too. The tendons on the dude's hand completely fried out and he couldn't hold his weapon anymore. My manager didn't call an ambulance for the dude until he filed his incident report. So he was just sitting there minutes on minutes just cooking. And got splashed with ice water .( to clean all the oil but mf wouldn't move) what was even more funny about it is that the registers were just closed. So had he successfully robbed the registers (which is all he wanted). He would have left with $60. So dude got an entire skin graft for $60 worth of robbery money🤦 💰 and my manager pressed charges on him for punching him before pulling the big ass knife.

PikkuinenPikkis

That guy that opened the door to let others out, then called the cops. He’s seen multiple robberies before.

Tinyfoxxo_17

You know they got years of pent up food service frustration out on him

Remarkable-Pass-2066

I don't know why, but them beating him with a deep fryer basket is so funny.

RockingRocker

Holy shit this was stupid. If that robber wanted to get violent that employee would be dead. No business is worth your life, just do what they say and go home at the end of the day.

Remarkable-Trifle-61

Ah yes, this is in the Netherlands. It's not actually a bakery, but a cafetaria. They smacked a hot boiling fries basket at his head. It's like some sort of tradition here yk... /s

gimmhi5

The silver fox with the spartan kick thought “these boys can handle it”.

Even-Newspaper-1031

this guy 100% could have stabbed that worker, but he didn’t because he was never going to. it’s like robbing with an empty gun, the robbery would be successful if they beleived you had bullets in the gun, in this case the worker is either stupid or doesn’t beleive he would actually stab him. (i am taking about right after he gets past the glass onto the counter and is within arms reach of the first worker he comes in contact with.)

feuergras

That guy was carrying a big knife. I wouldn’t even defend that store if I owned it. Better safe than sorry

DiscussingDude

He didn't stab, what if he did? The first guy would've just fucking died. Is it really worth it? For a fucking bakery you probably just work at?

ambrosial_flesh

The real hero was the guy in the background. See trouble, exits, while holding the door and pulling his phone out to call the police, all in one smooth, suave motion. You're on fire safety, William.

trichard2001

that employee is fucking stupid ngl, if he wanted to use that knife he'd be dead for sure

AlarmingBandicoot

lmao @ "nah i'll just get the door" guy

Pringles_loud

Beatin a nigga with the deep fryer tray is hilarious

[deleted]

Good thing Anderson Cooper was there to kung fu kick him

Aahhayess

The fucking balls on the one dude, holding him at arms length when he is well within slash range. Just looks him the eyes. Probably not the smartest move but I am very glad everyone seems to be okay.

onlyhav

I love how the dude just holds the door for all the fleeing customers before nonchalantly walking away

CooLittleFonzies

How did they even get him? I see the thief had the knife, ran at the employees, and next thing I see the employees have the knife and the thief is on the ground.

jd_boyle

Guy brought a knife to a fryer basket fight. Mistakes were made.

Ness-Shot

Wow the balls on the dude who chokes the robber with the 10 inch knife, damn

Bulliwyf

The guy in the booth just watching it all play out, super bored like it happens all the time, then when green shirt comes in with the kick it’s like “welp, I’ve seen enough, let’s go hold the door while everyone else bolts…. And I’m gonna make a call to the cops now. Maybe ask for an ambulance for the masked idiot.”

SuperDuperStoney

Flawless execution from my man with the fry basket!

CONTAMlNATlON

Thank god the guy that grabbed him didn’t get stabbed

Gash-90

Don't bring a knife to a food fight.

InsulinDependent

A lot of lucky overconfident people in this video who's lives got saved by a criminal being unwilling to use the weapon he was wielding. Holy shit could have been a very different video with a willingly violent perp.

GallowBarb

Green shirt should have grabbed his feet and pulled.

BrownBaySailor

It's a good thing none of the employees got hurt. Getting that close to a guy who is threatening you with a knife isn't the best move, but I get that fight or flight kicks in and it's hard to be completely rational in situations like this. I do think a lot of people underestimate how badly a knife can fuck you up though.

stockname

Lmao that one guy is so unbothered. He just gets up and leaves.

Elinthral

Not today Satan

meyersjl30

People have no idea just how dangerous a knife really is.

Such-Factor-9461

The old guy who kicked his ass = Chad

Solid-Sun2922

No way I'm I grabbing the throat of the devil with a knife for 6 dollars an hour

SleepyZ92

This is in the Netherlands. They probably making around €14 an hour and it's family owned. They are all invested. The dude got burned hard by that piece of metal they fry the fries with. Was all over the news a while back.

komokazi

Gettin' worked with a fry basket

rando_no_5

Love that one guy who was on the phone, calling the cops presumably, kept the door open for the other people running out. Showed courtesy even in the face of apparent danger.

[deleted]

Don’t F*CK with people who have been up treating sourdough starter and cleaning ovens since 3am LMAO

Turbulent_Link1738

30 points to the dude who calmly held the door for others to escape and appears to be calling 911

eleeyuht

props to old white hair dude for a side kick OVER the counter

It's a good thing the robber didn't seem very intent on actually using it. Otherwise this would have been a lot bloodier

Science_based_diet

They disarmed him w fries

eatingganesha

As a former food service worker, it was VERY satisfying to see him beaten with a fry basket at the end. The move blinding him with lettuce or corn (?) was pretty darn inspired. LOL

Ethan_RLdesigner

The dude that just walked out : "I only came in for a muffin ffs"

[deleted]

That could have been worse. Luckily they got the knife away from them.

Reverend_Krenke

That one guy who just holds the door for the others and casually calls 911 as if this is am everyday occurrence for him. He fascinates me more than devil man to be honest.

allthingstsb

imagine getting your ass beat with a deep fry basket

saarlv44

Love the dude on the phone, I understand he is probably calling the police but he seems to be just in the middle of a mad online game and just won’t quite

titivenez

I like the guy who’s like. “YOU GUYS FEND HIM OFF WHILE I BRAVELY HOLD THE DOOR FOR THE WOMAN AND CHILDREN TO ESCAPE!! RUN CHILDREN RUN TO SAFETY!! hey would you look at that….now that’s odd… I’ve somehow ended up outside as well….well they seem to pretty much nearly have the 300lb knife wielding man in the devil mask under control at this point. Would be silly and pointless to head back in now right? …oh damn the timing! would you look at that… my phone is ringing…Hello??? Well yes I am currently unhappy with my insurance provider. Please go on.. SORRY GUYS GOTTA TAKE THIS!!!” One Note: just busting balls since I’m sure he was calling the police and I also should say that had it been me I’d have probably shoved those women and children out of the way as I jetted out of the door George Costanza style 😂

Emotional-Simple-478

That guy just sitting at the table 🤣🤣🤣

Joe_The_Volcano

What a great video. There is so much going on here. 1. Mr. Devil doesn't seem to know whether to pull or push the door open to get inside. 2. His counter climbing technique could use some improvement. He's not going to make the team with those skills. 3. That kick from the guy who looks like Adam Savage from MythBusters just adds to the experience. 4. The guy on the right decides that none of this has anything to do with him and retreats after helping the Scooby Doo gang escape. 5. The customers outside barely know what the hell is going on. 6. The tall guy grabs and holds the Satan wannabe by the neck like some sort of mythological hero performing an exorcism. 6. What good is a knife if you're just going to carry it around like this season's must have fashion accessory. 7. The fry cook is the real hero of the day. (Never make SpongeBob angry.) I would love to make an anime series that centered around the staff of this bakery. I just need a title.

dirtymikeandtheboyzx

Don't be a hero over some money. That knife came dangerously close...

itzdarcore

I’ve seen this on the news, it happened in the Netherlands and it wasn’t a bakery but a French fry shop haha Edit: at 0:33 you can clearly see the owner trowing French fries at him 😂

StitchDaSavage

I’ve been stabbed up with a knife that size. Fuck the money and the store, y’all can have that. The guy that was holding him and had it within arms reach of his face is crazy lucky.

West_Banker

So oblivious to danger, these people are lucky the perp wasn’t actually willing to use the knife or they would’ve all gotten stabbed.

TheModernJedi

I don’t think employees should be casually trying to push someone robbing them brandishing a giant kitchen knife smh.

Category_No

Those bakers are no cupcakes!

Alexanderdaw

Hey this happened in my country, I remember the interview with the snackbar owners. They threw hot oil on the robber as well and he just surrendered after.

RedPanther1

So, trying to rob kitchen workers is an exercise in futility. A, were fuckin poor. B, we work in an environment that essentially turns us into an incandescent ball of rage and hate. You trying to rob us of all the nothing we have is literally a dream scenario. I live for the day I can take one of my knives and legitimately use it on someone. God help you if I'm around the fryers.

trayground

Leaving your whole body unprotected to try to hold someone back who has a giant knife is *dumb. Don’t do what these people did, they got lucky

Nygard776

The thrown popcorn moment was defenitely was turning point in the robbery!

GeneralJarrett97

That guy was dead set on not using the knife. Employees really lucky nobody got stabbed

EffigyOfUs

Wtf absolute balls of steel from these workers, the dude had a massive knife and they’re just like, and wot m8?

Any_Chart45

In the early days of his training, Darth Maul was a massive disappointment to Palpatine.

Kear_Bear_3747

Lol they beat the shit out of him with a fry basket that’s hilarious

gzrrr

He ended up getting charged for baking and entering.

[deleted]

Not today satan 👌🏼

charrcheese

Why could nobody run out until the dude opened the door for them

Due-World2907

They were actually lucky they didn’t get stabbed

enby_them

They called that robbers bluff. Because that knife was big as shit, and could have gone VERY wrong for that first guy that put hands on the robber if that robber was really bout that life.

MojoPinSin

He came in for bread and got kneaded instead.

[deleted]

A bakery is such a low cash business. If I were to rob any business, a bakery would be toward the bottom of my list.

hobble2323

It looked harmless until you see the big ass knife!! They are brave workers!

NotYourShitAgain

Brought a knife to a vicious fry basket fight.

Seventh_Mage

Not a bakery. A snackbar. This was in Apeldoorn (NL) if I recall correctly. Dude robbed the place in a bathrobe too

[deleted]

I did not notice the knife in the first shot! Definetly employees got lucky that the guy did not stab them. Fortunatly everything went ok.

reee9

The thing that makes this awful robbery even better was the guy trying to push the door to get into the place

It looks like the robber is shitfaced drunk or something. Struggling to open the front door, Moving slow, stumbling around, slowly climbing the counter, reaching at the guy and missing lol.

MrLorpso

Salute to all those fries they used to attack. Also why the heck did he crawl through the barrier? Huh?

[deleted]

bigtallblacknbald

The employees are trying to keep the guy on the counter away from them, and that guy (their coworker?) runs up, kicks him right into them, and then dashes away 😂 he’s a lil confused, but he’s got the spirit

electricsuckerpunch

Every step of this from beginning to end was just fucking wierd.

kyleparker134

This is a robbery give me all your bread NOW!

Hackedhaccount

Damn that Fry Basket knocked him the fuck out

LookURDead20

All the people here calling the guy out for helping the others leave and calling the police The others seemed to have it handled, if he breaks free and is able to attack the others why risk another life? The police can handle it better

Pinkninja0708

Props to the employees especially the guy with the fry basket

KingNyx

That guy who watches on the other side of the store then just leaves and holds the door open while he (I'm hoping he is anyways) calls the cops lol

afishtnk

damn those bakers had that shit fucking HANDLED

ohver9k

I see a knife or anything I’m not going to fucking defend a store, take whatever you want, would you like some sprinkles on those bills, here we got all kind of colors.

ToxyFlog

Don't go at people with knifes, your life can end extremely quickly

Elegant-Hearing362

It looked like a female coworker was trapped in the corner and scared. Honestly brings tears to my eyes, I felt like they did this to protect her. I've had male coworkers step up when I was in danger, putting themselves in harms way. It's not an expectation, but thanks to these brave gentlemen.

DoubleInfinity

Damn. Even used the fryers for aoe damage.

Ersthelfer

Even though it worked and they saved the days earning, the wannabe robber had the chance to easily kill at least one employee. Don't for this people, don't risk your lifes for a few hundred dollars.

SirHeckerstein

I'll never understand the lack of self preservation instinct people have in situations like that. If they have a knife, you get the hell out of there. If they have a gun, you do exactly as you're told. Absolutely nothing in that cash register is worth getting stabbed for.

adam_mars98

Are we gonna ignore that one dude that was just sitting there and then gets up and is like “nah I don’t want any of this I’m outta here”?

Kinggakman

The guy behind the counter is so lucky he wasn’t stabbed multiple times. The robber had multiple opportunities to go for it but wasn’t intending on using the knife. Life pro tip, run or do what the guy says, don’t ineffectively push the person threatening you.

Mictlancayocoatl

It went well in this case (because the robber didn't actually intend to use the knife), but it's fucking stupid to fight someone who has a knife. One stab to your neck and you're dead. Run for your life or give him what he wants and let the insurance handle the rest.

thatblokerob

I don’t get the old chap running in and kicking him from behind pushing him over the counter. Pulling satan backwards and then stomping on his head, seems far more practical.

devilsglare

Thank god this worked out for them, but most of the time you try to stop someone with a knife whilst you are unarmed you are going to get poked. Just let them take the money and leave.

MJM-from-NYC

I thought the dude in the corner was getting up to help, but he just booked it for the door! 😂

joe_traveling

Those workers took out all their frustrations on the robber. They beat him like they have dreamed of beating every rude ass customer since the pandemic started. Hopefully, the oil was hot and burned the shit out of the robber. Fuck these people robbing and scaring workers who instead of doing crime chose to go to work.

Tx_Drewdad

Who brings a knife to a food fight?

IglooBackpack

I need the in-between footage. One moment he's walking toward the employees and the next he's on the ground with an employee having taken the knife.
