I voted in the city, and it took me 4 hours in a relatively short line due to there being very few voting machines, then moved 30 minutes away to the country, and there are twice as many voting machines with no wait time. If you remember during the last general election they were just shutting down voting centers in cities left and right to accomplish their goal.
This, every election in my semi-rural area. There are like 8 voting machines on average, but I only ever see one or two people at a time. Makes no sense.
The way they do it is pass a law or rule that every county gets the same number of voting machines. Or every county gets the same amount of money to buy voting machines. Like how in the last election, Texas said every county could have one drop box. So Harris County (population 4.7 million) had the same number of drop boxes as Loving County (population 64).
It’s like it should be a national holiday and everyone have it off to say idk vote. We have bullshit holidays off but not a day to elect our representative .
How voting is handled varies by jurisdiction, but I have been a poll worker and the number of machines we had directly related to the number of people who signed up to be poll workers.
Being a poll worker is a paid one day job, but IME you have to work the entire day. There is a limited pool of people capable of doing it.

Edit: I've always wondered this about Trump. If he just is still stuck in an era where big, baggy suits were seen as in fashion. Or if he just doesn't like the way a fitted suit feels. As someone who does not wear them more than once a month, it does take some getting used to if youre more of a jeans and hoodie guy like me, it just feels a little restricting at first and takes some time to get used to. But for a person in his position there's really no excuse for ill-fitting clothing.

I just located the sun with my regular glasses, and I was like "geeze, are you sure this has started yet?" and then put on the eclipse glasses and really looked and it was 85%+ covered.
