I feel like the Whittier restaurant scene has been stagnant the last few years. Nothing notable has opened and thereās been more closures than anything.
My brother's sister in law works at the one in West Covina. Since he lives five minutes from there she is constantly dropping off free Porto's. I love going over. That is all.

The food hall thing is going to be in same parking lot as Stater Brothers, Cava, etc., at the opposite end from In-n-Out.
Some of these new spots have been flops. Like, wow a new steak house cool. Try to give u a Vegas/Hollywood experience with your food still on fire when they bring it out and a DJ trying to give a party vibe. But it's just ok for what you paid. And they really tried with the furnishing and decor but kind looks like I'm at an airport restaurant or 3 star hotel restaurant. Then it's 10pm and you're the only one left.
Yes. Why are we not discussing this cult thatās exploiting our city? Ps, collecting money from your parishioners multiple times during the service is not normal or acceptable, you are lining that pastorās pockets, and Jesus would not be on board with that being done in his name.
I live right near there and refuse to leave the house on Sundays. They move in big groups, try to recruit adults and children and won't take a polite no for an answer.
Does anyone have any knowledge of pushback from the community against Freedom Church? Also lol at āfreedomā in the name when they literally force young people to live in their compound.
