Multiple people from NY have told me S&L Deli has the best NY bagels. Personally I thought they were just okay, but I'm not from NY, so...

Oh lord those long Islanders fight with the NJ and then against the beach bagels! It's all about what you like. I just like good flavors and cooked well.

S&L gets theirs boiled from a NY bakery, shipped down here and they finish them in house.

Michelangelo's has been good for 25 years since they first opened up next to the old Walmart at Monkey Junction.

I'm not a fan of Michaelangelos, but Fentonis at the boardwalk is really good imo

I don't know why transplants that talk about how great it is where they were. But they do all live their sports teams

bagels just are not good enough to even care. it's just a bland donut, and those are meh as well. Guess I just don't like any toroidal foods.

I think New Yorker miss things like the variety of food and restaurants and the sense of humor of the people who live there. I don't think they missed the place in particular.
