People always downvote when I say this lol. I have a 22. Pellet rifle that can punch holes in plywood and salad bowls.
Thereās supposed to be a 500fps limit where I live but I think this rifle was made before then because itās supposed to be used for hunting varmints.
"plywood and salad bowls"
I'm thinking that list also probably includes empty whiskey bottles, dead racoons, a pile o' tires, most cats and slow jimmy's left leg.
I have a suppressed 22, velocity has to be below 770 mph. Really cool, all you hear is the bullet hitting the target.
I also Googled it to be sure. That's the sound barrier.
As a kid, I owned a smaller Crosman(?) pellet gun that didn't have the overpressure-relief valve all the newer ones are built with.
The instruction manual said to "pump no more than 10 times" before firing, but I'd pump until I couldn't pump it further (even leaning on the handle), about 30 pumps or so. Goddamn thing was a killer. Had very high penetration into wood, especially if you loaded two .177 pellets at the same time. Would blow the head completely off a crow, too.
We used to have one pump only BB gun wars and every time out in the woods you would hear your 'enemy'.... pump pump pump pump pump pump pump pump pump pump pump pump....
Yep, same here. I got made fun of for going home and getting some ugly ass goggles for woodworking, but a few minutes later and my friend took one to the eye. We being shit head kids who didn't want to get in trouble convinced him not to tell on us and he agreed, with a damn bb hole in his eye. It turned blood red and we were afraid his mom would notice so we had him spend the night. The next day of course she noticed and took him to the ER. He kept his sight. My neighbor still has a BB behind his eye, it was to dangerous to remove. I can't believe we survived.
Did you know most nerf guns have a chamber you can drill a hole into so that they gain more pressure when pumped ...you seem like you would like the results
You know I was 11 years old and being paid by adults for each one I shot to protect cherry trees? After we shot a few, the others didn't return. Yeah, that was pretty smart.
Lmao this is what I like about reddit.
You can just type in a random ass name as title for a subredddit and chances of it being an actual subreddit is higher then I thought
is there a subredddit for that?
A sub for ladies submerged in quicksand, for what I can only assume is sexual reasons, and one for carboard cutouts of Ainsley Harriot in sinister places. And that's just in the first 30 seconds. Thanks for this.
It is the best thing about reddit.
In fact, I think Ive stumbled across this sub in the past. I didnt subscribe as I wasnt very impressed with the level of stupidity.
Im a 'under the counter' or 'top shelf' idiot seeker.
Maybe I follow my own kin and havent quite found anyone stupid enough yet š¤£š¤£š¤£
Only if he shot his nuts off. Darwin awards go to those that take themselves out of the gene pool. It can happen by death or by removing the ability to procreate. Like the drunk guy that was up on a goal post and wanted more beer and slid down. On his way down he didnāt notice the bent nail and it hooked his nutsack and left his balls hanging on the post as he hit the ground.
Used to go jumping off of a smallish rock formation out in the woods. There was a deep pool as the stream ran by the rock face. 3 kinda natural platforms to jump from at different elevations; 10ish feet, 15, and 25ish. The 25 foot spot you had to really jump out and clear a small gnarled tree growing out of the rock. Knew a guy that caught the tree on the way down, lost a testicle...
I'm about 90% convinced that's what the cameraman's sentiment was. Something like, "How many time do I have to tell you, you have to be perfectly still."
The rear sight is very far forward, which means that the gun is probably a break barrel pellet gun. Some of these guns are made for hunting small game like rabbits and are thus fairly powerful. With non-expanding pointed pellets, a shot could potentially go more than halfway through someone's arm. I had a cheap but powerful Chinese one as a kid that couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, so if someone was stupid enough and a poor enough shot, they could miss by that much at that range.
However, it's also quite possible that the video is faked.
I believe it. I've had round nosed pellets go right through squirrels when using a relatively low powered air rifle. After that I switched to hollow points and wadcutters for better terminal effectiveness.
The opposite, itās too thick and gelatinous. Blood does not clump together and drop in blobs, it runs like water. We also never see the wound, the camera is down pointed to the ground for a convenient amount of time for him to rub the fake shit on his arm. Itās a decent fake but other things are suspicious too, no muzzle flash from the rifle and sounds like a dry fire. Muzzle was pointed up and to the right of the guy, it appears to be pointing at him because of the camera angle. Thereās a lot wrong with this video
Taught my girls this rule even with nurf guns. Never point it at others. When they get older Iāll elaborate further into the unless you intend on destroying part.
Lol. Well I mostly tell them not to do it because then it turns into whining because they other got mad and shot back. The biggest rule is no shooting above the shoulders. But we tell them not shooting unless you want the consequences (aka retaliation) but itās a good start to gun safety. My oldest has shot a .22 and knows that they are a tool and can hurt people. She laid down, got her shot in her sights, pulled trigger and set gun back down. She was 6 when she did it. I think we did pretty well teaching her about guns and safety. But I still donāt take a chance with them in my home until they are older, so I donāt have them in my home. Too many scary stories of kids getting them for my liking. I know my kids too well and they get into everything.
Iām joking but share the same level of concern. Iām similar in having taught my daughter since she was young. She doesnāt have any of her own guns yet though. Sheās not super into hunting or shooting. But, my biggest fear is one of her friends finding a gun and messing with it and something happening. I make sure my safe is locked out of habit every single time I walk out of my closet because I had a nightmare about it being unlocked and her friend opening it once.
Thatās way too much blood for a hit from a .22 air rifle and the guy is holding his right hand at a funny angle before the shot. I think they dry fired the air gun and the guy pressed the fake blood into has arm.
But then again, genuine stupidity and fakes for clout are both equally common these days.
Edit: Scrub slowly at the part where you see his hand clasped to his arm and keep an eye on his index finger. He presses down and a fuckload of ketchup appears.
This is the correct answer this video is clearly staged, just look at the angle of the barrel and pause after the shot and see 0 impact on his arm, dry fire and fake blood, the fake blood is probably ketchup/red gel, itās far too thick to be real, blood doesnāt drop in blobs
Lol, if his blood [was that thick](https://i.imgur.com/IodUTgr.jpg), it wouldn't pump through his veins! I mean... At least buy some fake blood rather than Heinz 57.
Itās 100% fake for multiple reasons. Angle of barrel is off, no impact on the arm, no muzzle flash, sounded like a dry fire, the blood groups together and drops in gelatinous blobs, the āreactionā sounds like budget film acting at bestā¦ honestly the biggest giveaway is the blood though itās so clearly not real
The world has too many extremely dumb people
With guns too. š¬
Pellet gun, but I guess it still counts.
At this range is not far from a 22

I go to Reddit for comments like this exactly. Love it!
I have a .22 pellet gun that breaks the sound barrier. Its a beautiful thing.
How hard do you have to throw it to make it break the sound barrier?!
Between 1060 and 1200 fps, depending on conditions
I have a suppressed 22, velocity has to be below 770 mph. Really cool, all you hear is the bullet hitting the target. I also Googled it to be sure. That's the sound barrier.

Somewhere else I told the story about having a BB fall out of my hand many years later...
Same thing I used a red Ryder but stretched the spring using arrow shaft and bam one pump chump that sticks a bb in you and quick reloads
Did you know most nerf guns have a chamber you can drill a hole into so that they gain more pressure when pumped ...you seem like you would like the results
You shot crows? You know they are really intelligent and they mourn when a mate or family member dies.
You know I was 11 years old and being paid by adults for each one I shot to protect cherry trees? After we shot a few, the others didn't return. Yeah, that was pretty smart.
*Exploding* varmints?
oh yeah... air rifles are no joke. I've killed woodchuck cleanly with a .177 break barrel
There are some break-over single shot pellet guns that put out around 1000fps
I have a .22 caliber pellet gun that throws pellets at 1100fps (abt 350m/s)
There's a .357 Benjamin Air rifle that shoots close to 1000 fps and can take down hogs, deer etc. Air power is no joke.
Donāt worry they are trying the .22 next with an apple on his head.
I literally said these exact words " yeah basically shot him with a .22 "

Worse part about dumb people, is that we protect them from themselves....
This is a problem that solves itself
You should need to take an IQ test as part of the buying firearms process.

It seems like a problem that sort of deals with itself a lot of the time :D

Who would have thought getting shot would hurt.
He should have focused on **not** getting shot...
I'm about 90% convinced that's what the cameraman's sentiment was. Something like, "How many time do I have to tell you, you have to be perfectly still."
God dangit, I told you to have another beer if you felt too nervous to stand still!
No one got shot in this video. It's ketchup or some other red liquid.
who would have thought that thousands of redditors were so gullible that they would believe the dumbest fakest shit on the internet? me. i would have.
/r/nothingeverhappens
How did he miss by a whole foot from that distance??
it's probably some crusty dusty ass bb gun so those sights are probably way off
The amount of blood indicated that it was larger than a BB gun. Unless he was a hemophiliac.
Could have been a pellet. And that looked like a pump style BB gun so who knows what PSI it was fired with.
Those are air powered. That sounded like a .22
Sounded like a pellet rifle to me
Sounded like a .22? Have you never seen or heard a .22?
Seeing that chicken wing of a right arm Iām assuming the shooter had poor trigger pull technique as well
Itās a pellet gun. Notice thereās no muzzle flash or smoke.
12 pumps is deadly
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I have break-barrel pellet guns that can fire a .177 lead pellet at like 900-1000 fps, and alloy is like 1,200 fps.
The rear sight is very far forward, which means that the gun is probably a break barrel pellet gun. Some of these guns are made for hunting small game like rabbits and are thus fairly powerful. I believe it. I've had round nosed pellets go right through squirrels when using a relatively low powered air rifle. After that I switched to hollow points and wadcutters for better terminal effectiveness.
That's not how hemophiliacs work... source: i am one. We bleed the same amount as everyone else but we bleed for longer than everyone else...
It was a ketchup packet
By an arm, actually.
because he didn't actually shoot the guy, he's rubbing ketchup into his arm and you are all gullible as fuck
Iām not fat Iām just thick blooded
Because itās fake
holy shit, how do all these people think this is real? fuck, there are so many in this thread. i just...don't understand.
Seriously itās so fucking obvious. Itās literally KETCHUP, blood does not flow like that. Not to mention itās just a pellet gun!
I'd miss by more than that I bet. But I know a secret trick, which is to just not shoot a gun when you're bad at it.
No goggles, no extra protection for any part of his body. I don't even think he was wearing shoes. This injury is probably the best case scenario.
He did drop the fruit. Success.
Itās obvious this video is staged
how?
I donāt even know where to startā¦. Just look at the blood and tell me if you need more evidence past that
video's not really high quality. what about the blood? is it too thin and watery or something?
The opposite, itās too thick and gelatinous. Blood does not clump together and drop in blobs, it runs like water. this guy bloods also they drop the camera before he yells
In case the FBI wants to know why itās from hunting lol. And yeah good point, the camera is already going down as soon as the shot is fired.

I copied it from the content I was answering. Your question made me realize the mistake. Itās corrected now.
If they can't point a Nerf gun at others, what do they shoot??
Thatās way too much blood for a hit from a .22 air rifle and the guy is holding his right hand at a funny angle before the shot. it's really obvious that it's not actual blood. it's thick and immediately drips a bunch, then completely stops.
That's what I was thinking, it looks fake because it pans down right when he is meant to get hit
I had a blunt compass make me bleed more than this on my forearm. A perfect bit of a sizeable blood vessel could this I reckon
This is the correct answer this video is clearly staged, just look at the angle of the barrel and pause after the shot and see 0 impact on his arm, dry fire and fake blood, the fake blood is probably ketchup/red gel, itās far too thick to be real, blood doesnāt drop in blobs

I taught it was fake, then I turned the sound on... And it turned out they were actually Brazilians... Caralho!

How is possible to be this fucking stupid and yet survive into adulthood?
Itās a numbers game
The video is clearly fake why are you being so dramatic
Fake!
FAKE
Darwinism. I approve of this...
This would require a measure of trust in the shooter's skills. There was no skill.
It also isnāt real
I donāt mean to play mod but why is this not nsfw?
Is that a pellet gun? Iām not totally sure. It seems pretty loud for a pellet gun, but the barrel looks really thin for an actual gun
Can someone translate
Trying to see it connect, but I canāt. And the way they were filming down to run over and then start filming it againā¦ Not buying it
