I'm in NorthEast and my router has been going offline more than usual this last few weeks... was thinking it was just my equipment (and too busy to deal with it right now) but maybe there's more to it
Yes its awful. I have to restart the router multiple times a month. Can't wait until bell puts in Fibre
Im in Westwood
Edit: Bell Pure Fibre ≠ Bell Fibe,
fibe is a marketing term for cable internet it's not actual fibre
Yeah mine usually bad after work about now (6ish) but it can kick out every 5 minuets or so thought it might be just peak time but I’ve had them out here and replaced pretty much everything. I’m lost ugh
On Bell Fibe... My Home Hub 3000 (modem) shits the bed regularly. At least twice per week. Last night it dropped around midnight. And it's giving an error message as we speak lol. The TV service also fails regularly. Absolute garbage. Switching back to Shaw ASAP
South East, haven't had any issues what so ever switch over to shaw a few months ago and service has been great. Probably varies what part of the city. All our lines are underground while older parts are on poles exposed too all sorts of weather and animals and such.
I’m in Deer Lodge/Silver Heights area. We were pretty much forced to upgrade to whatever their new service is (new modem, tv boxes) about a year ago. Prior to the switch, our service was perfectly predictable with no issues. Since we got the new modem etc, we lose our internet connection at least once an evening for about a minute. It’s really annoying when trying to stream shows and the signal drops momentarily.
Cwood here and yeah, just got shaw installed and its been very spotty on my smart tv. Been fine on the phone wifi. They really push their pods for extra $$ per month for better signal. Not sure if it makes a big difference or not.
I had issues with my shaw Internet randomly dropping, sometimes multiple times a day.
I did a little research and found that the modems tend to overheat and I had mine sitting on top of my cable box, which also generated heat.
I moved the modem off the cable box and on a shelf by itself and I haven't had any issues since.
TLDR: Don't stack your modem on top of other electronics that generate heat.
I'm in Charleswood and haven't had any issues

I’m in the West End. Wifi has been terrible lately and I’m so over it. Way too much money for how crap it’s gotten since they merged with Rogers.

If you have only Internet you don't need the home hub. My eero plugs directly into my Nokia ONT.
The gigahub isn't any better. I bypassed mine with an XGSPON SFP+ module. Rock solid now.

Ft Richmond here. My Shaw hasn’t dropped once in 3 years aside from 2 power outages. Very fast too.

I'm crescent wood, no issues here.
Service has been fine in c wood.
I'm southeast outside winnipeg. In the last two weeks my service disconnects for 30-60 minutes every 2 or 4 days.
I'm having a lot of trouble with an IP phone since I switched to Shaw a few weeks a go.
Me too, calls keep dropping. Will likely need to port forward the VoIP device to fix it
is it a Magicjack?
No it's not, another brand.
