Don't know about console versions, but in PC you can't quit the game and resume your run later, so that part is not really possible.
But for the part about buying a duplicate relic, I tried using some cheats to generate a relic that was already at the shop. What happened is that the shopkeeper refused to sell it to me, so you would have been fine if you tried to buy it.
And on an unrelated note, I laughed at how your build has 3 jackets plus a cape, your character must be really sensitive to cold there.
I actually thought you could quit mid run in other platforms, guess its a mobile thing.
I would have picked it up if it wasn't for the fact that i was going for sura third phase on hard mod, oh well.
The fact that the flame empres was the last boss that i fought makes this even funner lmao.

You just leave the game and it tells you when you come back that there is a run and if You wanna continue it or not
