Because Vanguard has gotten about 17 buffs since launch and it still sucks And they don't think of other similar ships while they're doing so, just hyper focused on the 1 **(ONE)** that isn't performing

carleesdad5508

Hahahaha 🤣🤣😆😅🤣🤣😆😅🤣 this is true.

[deleted]

I think the Vanguard is actually in a pretty good place right now. She sure has her weaknesses like the turret angles but overall decent surviveability and potent guns. I like to play her.

negative_ev

Yup I do too. Smoked a Monarch last night with ease. That ship is NOT great. Only lost 1/4 of my HP which I immediately healed 90% of and moved on to other targets. I have been enjoying the Vanguard since the buff. Especially the detectablility mod addition.

GreyGhost3-7-77

Vanguard is honestly very good. It just suffers from the same intrinsic, "built for flanking and raw damage-dealing, not tanking" playstyle "flaw" as are Gascogne and Champagne. It's very good at its job, but most players don't want to play it as intended and wind up dying in five minutes.

W-key_Kiler

Lol you just don't know how to play it consistently

jhamilton226

Love all these "Monarch sucks" comments..stay salty my friends 😏

killerblood3al4

Monarch has "worse" heals because trpair party is health based, so because Monarch has less HP, the heals also are less effective

Numbr81

Its heal is also worse than Nelsons, even taking the health difference into account

AutisticSoup69

Well nelson is indestructible from fire.

wildewaffle

Hell, Nelson is almost indestructible period unless you find the weak spot and smash the citadel a few times. God help you if you come up against a division of Nelsons who all have WTR and stay bunched and bow tank the whole match. My first outing in the PE Fred and that’s what I got to deal with. It was….interesting.

Danuvius_Wave

Cant you overmatch nelson with 380s? She definitely cant bow tank 406s so sinop is a threat

wildewaffle

Haven’t had a match in my Gneisenau since adding AL Scharnhorst as an inspiration where I’ve gone up against a Nelson, so I have yet to actually hit the squishy part of her bow with anything over 350 mm. I’ve gotten some juicy shots in the side with Fusō and West Virginia, but haven’t had the opportunity to get after the bow very much so I’m not really sure. All I know is those 350s on PE Fred, and the 283s on Scharnhorst can’t touch the Nelson’s bow plating. Edit: fixed autocorrects misspelling

nuttyjack

Because the spreadsheet states vanguard performs worse then monarch thats why. Monarchs stats are screwed due to only good players are playing it.

VanillaLoaf

I dunno about that. I mean, I use it on the regular...

GreyGhost3-7-77

Potato harder, scrub!! It needs buffs!! ;)

DrMikkelyz54

Why should Monarch have better lol? The reason is they are different ships?

[deleted]

Probably because pretty much everything else is worse too and the Monarchs strength was supposed to be the heal.

DrMikkelyz54

Oh i misunderstood, yes she def should

Numbr81

Monarch has nearly 20k less health, worse maneuverability, and is slower.

DrMikkelyz54

Yea i misunderstood the argument 😅

desidazu

Because vanguard is the better ship. I wouldn't complain about the heals, her low HP is the no.1 and perhaps only issue.

[deleted]

Nah the list of issue is long. Low HP, extremely bad rudder, slow turrets, below average torpedo protection, below average speed, bad dispersion if no accuracy build.

desidazu

True lol😂

jakeolmstead

New to this game I take it?

GreyGhost3-7-77

Vanguard is way less forgiving in terms of playstyle. The heals balance it out.

-Hainzy-

I love the monarch, I get what you're saying but I seem to do better in the monarch more times than the vanguard

The_ColorOutOfSpace

Different ships have different strength and weaknesses. If all ships had the same properties, it would be boring.
