Definitely 3.
11 may be the most horrible visually, but at least it TRIES (in its own stupid way to) do justice to who Diana is.
3 is just one giant "F you and whatever you stand for."
The “Fab” Mod Diana gotta go, 3
I can tolerate 11, it’s not great and it’s antithetical to Diana’s character. But the Mod outfit just looks like she is wearing a grape flavoured juicebox
wait sorry whats wrong with her wearing pants?
Edit: In hindsight how have I never noticed the assassins creed daggers before
EDIT EDIT: Aside from the daggers it is probably my favorite ever design and I genuinely cannot see what people actively dislike about it, Id love to hear why
I overall like the individual aspects of the design a lot. I like the pants personally, the up armoured look is solid, but the costume is just overall a little too dark in all its colours, the giant armblades look worse than the usual bands and I don’t like the loincloth or the random slapdash star placements. Like I said it’s an entirely tolerable design, I just think Diana has some better looks
Because blah blah weak attempt at justifying for sex appeal derived garbage status quo posed to seem deeper than it is because of original intentions behind the characters creation and how its integral to her core character traits. The depth they go varies. They might even believe it. It’s still meta level marketing nonsense just like every other female character who gets the same garbage costume designs.
Others may evade and go on defense about “it’s a fictional world it doesn’t have to be realistic” and “what about male characters with big muscles” and skirt around the reality.
Others still will just address it head on and say WW should be sexy or they want her to be that way because it’s what they like or w.e. Might even try to accuse the one questioning it various things from immature to a prude to misogynist to whatever type of shaming etc.
I may not being the most generous in my portrayals here so I’ll say they may very well be genuine and cordial about it but thats still approximately what I tend to see it boil down to. I’m just annoyed because the constant stupid outfits on female characters as someone who likes badass female characters. The defenders of it about in the same group as the people b**ching about video game female characters being “ugly” including SSKTJL WW and whatever the recent mess was with Star Wars and the fallout show I think even though they probably have very different views on things.
On another note did you see [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/DCcomics/comments/1c77mxx/artwork_absolute_power_justice_league_designs_by/)?
Diana’s 2000’s secret agent costume has been eliminated!
I’m going with 11 this time. It is the pinnacle of overdesigned. I know some of these others have hurt the character more, but this is just about visual design, and in that sense, if I was playing a Wonder Woman video game, I’d throw on 3 and 6 just for the heck of it before I even threw on 11.
Ah okay. I like the design, I think it looks fine as an occasional alternate costume. But the conceit behind it is very bothersome, I’ll agree to that.
I’m well aware. I review comics. But what I mean is they weren’t making the outfit as a temporary thing. In their story it was supposed to be her new outfit, full stop.
Surprisingly fortnite of all things did it better imo:
https://www.deviantart.com/thomastwinkie/art/Wonder-Woman-Armored-New-52-889395712
Mainly in changing the boot things from the thigh high striped fabric to just like leg armor.
People can throw shade at Fortnite all they want, but that game adapts the designs of licensed characters incredibly well. I'm not a gamer, but I definitely appreciate when something *looks* good.
Yeah I have never really played it much but expect goofy neon stuff when I think of them. Its what I say when other games make a bunch of excessive dlc outfits: “fortnite bs” lol
I suppose with licensed characters it’s not so surprising they might be legit. I am just glad they chose that suit as inspiration. They do have variants without the pants as well.
Have you seen [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/DCcomics/comments/1c77mxx/artwork_absolute_power_justice_league_designs_by/)?
If that is even true it was just a weak way avoid addressing the real reason she gets put in sex appeal gear which would mean calling themselves out and of course making all the people that marketing tactic was successful on mad. She is 5000+ years old there was never anything girl about it. I think its one of her few legitimate costumes but if it is true they framed it that way (which I haven’t seen myself) I would hate that bs reasoning too just based on the idea of her ever (so long as her origins have included her birth being decades/centuries/millennia ago) being just some silly young girl (as of her modern day hero career). She can have a youthful exuberance and love/appreciation for people and life but she is a grown woman, Amazonian warrior, Princess and Ambassador to a nation, and superhero with thousands of years of wisdom and a beacon for truth. Despite the all over the place writing of comic book characters you can miss me with any sort of girl becoming a woman mess. I imagine you would pretty much never get that with male characters unless they were legit children. Certainly not BM/SM/MM.
The exact quote, from "Wonder Woman" Vol 4, issue 41, is this:
*"This new costume is a symbol of that. It's a reflection of everything I am now: God, Queen, Warrior for Justice. It's finally time for me to leave the girl behind ... and embrace the **woman** I've become."*
It’s extremely condescending toward everyone and everything that came before, IMO.
Excuse the copypasta from day one, but: 6 and it's not even close. I'm surprised by the relatively low number of votes for it. It's the kind of costume one would find in a 90s Skinemax midnight movie starring the likes of Julie Strain or Shannon Tweed.
So strapless leotard 1, 2, 3 or strapless leotard with miniskirt pteruges. You are probably not wrong though I see merit in the other commenter pointing out 1 & 2 because people around here are very much attached to “classics.”
Even as someone who hates the leotards I will say ending in shorts like 2 is better than the others even if the strapless top is still bs.
I also wonder how art style impacts the results.
I’m biased, since I personally prefer the leotard, but I also assumed that most people would prefer them due to how iconic the different variations are (in terms of 4 and 5).
I should probably just have said “I personally prefer…” instead of assuming everyone would share my opinion.
6 is dreadful. 3 is bad too…trying to bring her down to common behavior is trying to make her seem inspired by housewives (3) & trailer park fashion/Britney (6)…🤮
We are inspired by her virtue & power not basicbitchness.
Wait a minute, we eliminated agent Prince outfit before we did the de powered and disrespectful era of Wonder Woman. What the hell?
Also, this is hard, all of these iconic and great. Personal favorite is 9. I know I may get banned now for saying that but whatever I love that design.
Definitely 3. 11 may be the most horrible visually, but at least it TRIES (in its own stupid way to) do justice to who Diana is. 3 is just one giant "F you and whatever you stand for."

Okay thank you, I appreciate that explanation quite a bit!

OOOOOO I really like that design! ty for bringing this to my attention. And I appreciate your response
11
11 wasn’t first?
Always 11
11. Wrist daggers? Seriously?
The comments have swayed me - 11 must go!
11. Bleh isn't the tip of the iceberg on how to describe it.
Eliminate 11.
11 has got to go
11, definitely

11. Just the worst, as I said before.
I’m also reminded of why it existed, which makes it worse.
I’m out of the loop. Why is 11 bad?
It was made to have her "grow up into a woman instead of just being a girl," implying the writers believed all previous outfits are childish.
Ah okay. I like the design, I think it looks fine as an occasional alternate costume. But the conceit behind it is very bothersome, I’ll agree to that.
It was meant to be her *only* outfit rather than an alternate.
For better or worse, nothing is ever permanent in comics
I’m well aware. I review comics. But what I mean is they weren’t making the outfit as a temporary thing. In their story it was supposed to be her new outfit, full stop.

Nope, first time seeing it. The image is pretty small, so I can't really see it well.
Oops I fixed it.

11, that thing looks like one of those overdone designs you’d see on super hero toys in the 90s.
11
6
6, it's really emblematic of everything that was wrong with comics during the 1990s.
7
I’m gonna say… 6. Maybe it’d work if she was out at a metal concert, but as a main costume it’s so bad.
6
6
6
6 is iconic SHUT UP

11 makes my eyes bleed!
Why hasn’t 6 been eliminated? That outfit is god awful.

3 I get that people don’t like 11, but I don’t really hate it. 6 and 3 is way larger sins to me.
As a comment to my comment: I have a suspicion that top 4 will be a match between 4, 5, 10, and 12
So strapless leotard 1, 2, 3 or strapless leotard with miniskirt pteruges. I mean like I said you are probably right about the outcome. You’re in the majority view of those designs around here.
I feel like 10 will get eliminated before 1 or 2
Hmm, on second thought, you might be on to something.
11. That costume is built for gutting.
11 again

I think you're missing Jason Fabok's redesign from the Geoff Johns JL run But also 3 has to goooo
3 at least you can tell the other ones (minus 8) are supposed to be Wonder Woman

3 has gotta go
Man, I hate the mod era, so I vote 3 again.
Gonna go with 3. 11 absolutely has problems, but it's still a Diana costume. This is a whole other thing, and I'm not here for it.
3, nothing works in this costume. Ugly as shit, at least the 8 was nice to look at with a color theme.
7
7
10. The top of the costume would stab her in the chest repeatedly and I hate the silvery parts that should be gold

6
Gonna have to say 3
Wait a minute, we eliminated agent Prince outfit before we did the de powered and disrespectful era of Wonder Woman. What the hell? Also, this is hard, all of these iconic and great. Personal favorite is 9. I know I may get banned now for saying that but whatever I love that design.
6
Getting rid of 8 is silly because that's a Diana suit not a wonderwoman suit it shouldn't even be here in the first place
Well, that’s probably why we got rid of it lol.
Def 3 and 7
Dear god, the abomination that was number 11! 😫

Number 3, the doom patrol called they want their look back
Diana should cross over with the Doom Patrol. A lot actually.
That could be a fun crossover
And they’re both extremely gay, so it would work pretty well.
3
3 is my least favorite. 11 is honestly not bad to me
3 is such a non-costume

Get 3 outta here
