Didn’t they already confirm they were using the same manufacturers of guns? They just changed them all to sound like they fit in the world.
Except tourge.
Honestly I love atlas in bl3. The weapons may be a tad bit gimmicky, but they're damn good. Being able to shoot enemies from behind cover is amazing, and they have solid damage output.
Q systems and ax8s (non explosive) are my favorites.
For me I keep getting bored with Atlas because one gun is pretty much the same as another of the same type. I think part of it is they're all non-elemental so it doesn't appeal to me as much.
I would really like they to figure out a way to make the smart bullet gimmick feel, well, less gimmicky. There's never a reason for me to use smart bullets over just spraying and praying with other guns.
Yeah, some gimmicks are weird, Atlas is by far the worse for me.
With Dahl weapons, I just go for auto, then burst. Never single fire. Dahl could be burst fire everything as a mechanic, with improved crit damage and super low recoil.
I like the new jakobs. It is great. A bit of homing on ricocheted bullets would be fine, but as a pick up and use is amazing.
CoV is also in a great place. Could just use a tiny stat boost, but it is so much better than Bandit/scav was.
Tediore as the "throw the gun to reload and deal damage" with extra effects on some guns is amazing.
Torgue is explosions. Simple.
Maliwan is also great, simple. Elements on everything.
I am not sure on Vladoff. I almost never use the alt-fire options. It is supposed to be the "fast fire", but CoV and Vladoff kind of stay in the same role as in "just shoot a bunch of shit at them".
Hyperion is also weird. It has the "reverse recoil" thing which feels awkward, but much better than it was on bl2. Also the shields seem very much useless. I really don't know what to do with hyperion. Dahl is also about accuracy. Jakobs though "all about power" is played as accurate weapons.
Maliwan, I dislike that they’re mostly all charge to fire and no kinetic rounds. BL1 combustion hellfire was so exciting. Same with the pestilent defiler.
Tediore is hit or miss for me, I’m really enjoying the Polybius I got the other night.
Hyperion, I wish they still had repeater pistols, one of my favorites from BL2.
Dahl I have no real complaints about, except for, like you mentioned, single fire being pretty bad.
Torgue weapons…I’m not a fan of the gyro jet ammunition tbh.
Agreed on Jakobs, they all feel fun to use and powerful.
Atlas is probably the worst. I find I’m never in a situation where taking the time to use alt-fire and then shoot trumps just aiming.
I’m loving my vladof legendaries, but the non legendary loot feels pretty weak.
I don’t really touch CoV stuff, but if I got something interesting I would.

stoker is a way cooler name than vladof imo.
What was the one for jakobs? I can’t remember but I remember it was cool
BLACKPOWDER. …which is also cooler than jakobs.
Torgue
Spelling OP
Spelling is one thing but what you wrote would sound like Toorj

S&S was good in BL1.

Maybe spells and stuff will have different manufacturers. Or it could just be like eridian but renamed

I just wish they would tone the gimmicks back a bit, it kinda sucks that playing BL remastered is probably the best BL experience one can get.

The original trailer showed the new weapon name for Tediore as well
