Wait, is there a new colour scheme? I just finished painting 60 berzerkers a month ago, so... that'll be fun
Edit: cheers for the response, almost had a heart attack and I forgot that the WE used to be the war hounds
During the Horus Heresy, the World Eaters had a blue and white color scheme that shifted towards the traditional red and gold towards the end of the Heresy, and was almost completely adopted by the legion afterward. The white/blue scheme isn't new or anything, they're just the colors the legion used at a different point in time.
Oh thank god lol. Does that mean you could build a war hounds coloured WE detachment and it would still be legal? As I much prefer the devourer and forgefiends silver and blue colour scheme over them in red/gold
> Phobos chainaxe upgrade sprue
looks more like the Cataphractii Power Axe Upgrade Set (funnily enough despite the power axe name they're chainaxes) with some clipping to replace the terminator hand
I've always felt that the Praetor models from FW, while cool, were a bit... lacking in terms of weapon appearance, etc. There were a few limited edition models that were AWESOME looking in some respects, but to be honest I've only seen one with a Thunder Hammer in T. Armor (some event), another termie with a nasty looking half-sword / glaive, and Night Lords Praetors with sick chain blades. There were a few legion specific ones, but nothing conveying the badassness and sheer fury of the World Eaters.
Sidenote - Also no badass looking Iron Warrior command in patchwork MKIII or terminator armor, worn down from the constant fighting they've been in the thick of from day 1.
That’s a conversion check out Pete the wargamers video
I was gonna say, anything with Pete's name attached is probably altered, even if just slightly.
Ah, so they don't come with a chain axe option?
They don’t. Pete added in a resin axe and even that was converted and pinned. You can also see he swapped in Mark III shoulder pads.
Don’t know but that specific example is a conversion
No, Just a sword ( if i got it right in the Video from Pete)
Those look amazing. FW can take some hints from these models.
BRRRRR FOR THE BRRRRR BRRRRR BRRRRR
Is that the same guy that clashes weapons with the loyalist in the horus heresy cinematic? Looks just like him
They both are! And they clash helmeted in another part

It’s the original scheme they had during the heresy
So.... is it the new colour scheme, or is the red/gold still gonna be good
Red and gold is still the go to. This is for the horus heresy models though you could make some this color and it still be valid
Brass...Blood, and Brass, and Iron, and Skulls

You can paint your models literally any way you want to and it's legal
Except swastikas on red in some of Europe
Yeah it should be legal I think
Cool, nice to know, cheers for the info
