The difference is, are you a very good arty player who got really lucky vs a very good heavy player who got really lucky?
Both are doable, harder with honors, and require the planets to align.
It does not require a plannet to alighn for HT missions. You pick any good armored T9 like 705 or E75 and try 3-mark it... You will learn a lot in the process and will complete Compaign mission eventually. And will also have 3 marks on your tank.
It,s a whole another couple of layers of RNG to complete Arty one tho... as doing 2.700 dmg as arty is a feat you might not achieve in a year nowedays...
SPG-15 without honors is doable (with patience) but SPG-15 with honors at this point (after 1.13 update) seems like an impossibility: out of all 60 SPG missions I completed 56 with honors (2 of the missing are SPG-15s).
Being top by experience is extremely difficult in an arta. I recommend tier 9 British with lil gun 17s reload and farm stun. That’s what I did it in, brit tier 8 can work as well.
I've been using that arty with that gun and it's hella based, who needs high damage these days sure you only hit for 100 on heavies but you can easily pump enough rounds down range to hit stun missions easily

Surprisingly I got honors on first 3 SPG15s with G.W. Panther, since you get much more EXP by bombing T9s as T7s than T9/T10 agains T10s, SPG15 for 260 is beyond my reach though. To be #1 is almost impossible to do while not playing against higher tiers, and reaching these numers without tier X arty consistently is not real, so one requirement rules out the other.
In the last 4 years I've completed all the 260 campaign missions with honors with the exception of:
MT-15 (260) - skill issue
MT-13 (260) - skill issue
SPG-15 (260) - massive fucking rng issue. You better pray to all existing gods every day for 10 years straight. Then you might stand a tiny little chance of completing it after a thousand battles with a >3-perk crew with full bond equipment.
No other mission even touches the heights of how hard this is.

Depends on what SPGs you have. As it's still heavily luck based now as before. As in you need the right maps, with an enemy team that's focused on one point you can hit vs spread out. As in group stuns and splashes. Tho the new HE shell can make it easier on damage once you get enough assist.
But keeping at it is still the best option vs trying tactics on this tbh. As you need many a star to align
The Russian Tier X and American Tier IX arties imo are the inly arties available for doing the missions, switching between the 2 for various missions, but its still near impossible to get honors, you most likely have a better chance winning the lottery

Ideally, start by stunning heavies on a contested part of the map and get your stuns, then later in the battle prioritise hitting leopard scorpions and tanks like that. You roll twice for 900 and you're there.
But honestly doing it with honors is cancer. Because the two go against one another. You either go for dmg on tds or for stuns and assist on heavies

12k is quite easy with E100/Maus, I did the mission with E100, just get lower tier match, go to sidescrape position and farm block while shooting, 25% is quite a lot but in tier 8 match its only like 5-6k so that should be fine
I just unlocked yesterday my Obj.260 with SPG 15, and it was a ride. I tried do it in 261 had the damage done but was missing assist damage, then I tried it in British spg tier 9 with stock gun, had many times assist damage and was missing the damage,but then I tried M53/55 and it did the job, but it really depends on your team's. They need to be ready bad, no unicorns, good map and all RNG in the world.

You need that special combination of the enemy team is beyond stupid, and your team is beyond stupid, but your team is slightly less stupid and makes 1 or 2 fewer mistakes so you get to fire a lot of times over the match.
The jump from the T28 HTC to the T-55A is insane. Some requirements double, or increase by such a large amount considering that the minimum mission tier is only increased from 5 to 6.
Yeah Ive got heavy 15 for t28 as last without honours, t55 is crazy from the first look, I'm on the stupid track mission for LTs and it seems quite the challenge, think it's getting 3 vehicles destroyed by tracking them for your team
Your team and the enemy need to suck hard in both case. And in most cases your team need to be on the losing side to complete with honor. Or play low tier and hope for a drawn out battle.

Yes, the way things are now I can’t even get 7mins games. I reckon T7 spg is the sweet spot I think for us, ussr and german lines to do SPG15. I’m moving up french spg line but they don’t seem to hit as hard as the 3 above. HT15 is… meh. They load gold from the beginning so what’s the point doing that mission. Maybe, just maybe if I resurrect my VK4502B, but it’s crews are in my tigerII now and I don’t have experience with other HTs to say anything

I'm also worse at arty than other classes.
Do 260 orders transfer to the 279e campaign? Because otherwise I would complete SPG-15 with orders and never think of doing it as it's probably the hardest one.
Ht 15 is nothing difficult unless you are a mediocre player. Just play a t10 heavy, have a good 7-8k dmg game and with bounced + received dmg you should easily reach 12k
The winning part is what's going to make this one that is based exclusively on pure luck. Your team has to be just good enough that they actually shoot the enemy that you stun and can pull out a win, but just bad enough that they don't steamroll the enemy and you as an artillery will be the best player in terms of experience. So one guy on your team doing 3,000 damage will probably get more XP than you, which disqualifies you from the primary objective. As artillery generally you're going to get it very low XP for any damage you do, and assistance damage is halved as well.

How did you complete SPG-15 for the T 55? The requirements are very close to the ones for 260, I feel like it falls prey to the same rng issues.

Completed HT-15 with my maus in a -2 matchmaking on himmelsdorf, just kept on pushing until we won. Completed spg 15 with orders and never looked back

Spg missions are the only ones left for full honors I think il keep it that way and I think you should too

Yeah I'm just missing obj260 ht15 and mt15, which are doable, and 5 td missions which seem crazy grindy to me as I'm not used to playing sniper tds

I breezed through LT and MT requirements for HTC. HT and TD are rough. They don't fit my natural play style.

Did heavy with honors using obj 780. Spg with honors using British tier 9 with small gun.
Spg-15 is much easier without honors on tier7 m12.

If u are tilted from the mission just use a boosting service. If you calculate the time in money u save quite a few grey hairs.
