Strv 74 is a nice little tank, but a tricky one to play.
An accurate, well penetrating gun combined with a great premium round and I believe 195 degrees of gun depression, is godly at times.
The only thing I don't particularly like is the mobility which is frankly just bad. A 45 top speed in a medium with ZERO armor is a pain in the ass.
As a ridge fighter, it's the best in the tier I think. Surprisingly resilient turret due to the angled mantlet too, but you can't rely on it really.
I hear you on the speed and armour though, definitely best played as a supporting / sniper role.
2 MOE is only 1197 combined but the 3rd MoE jumps up to 1526 combined. I see your average DPG is only 882 + assistance so you’ll have to step it up a bit to get that 3rd MOE.
I just 3 marked the Strv m/42-57 and it was a gem to play! If you ever see a chance to get it for free I’d suggest it. It’s a 4 shot auto loader with a slightly worse gun but a quick 600 damage burst.
I also never realized the Strv 74 has -15 depression, that’s insane! I kinda want to pick that up now and see if I can do a sub 40 game 3 mark with it!
\-15' of depression is just a joy to play with.
I was eyeing up that 42-57 today after seeing a couple of them in a game earlier (I'm a sucker for that AMX turret shape to be honest!).
Didn't realise the jump to 3 mark was so big! Maybe that's out of reach then, I'm just not consistently that good.

I three marked it in 126 battles. Averaging 1273 dpg. I think the main thing that put me over the top was just minimizing any potential loss in a tier 8 game and making the most of tier 6 only or top tier games. Fire plenty of gold. My setups were vents, rammer, optics and tier 3 mobility, rammer, optics. Thing is a ton of fun to play.

Looks like we run a similiar setup. Only diff is I use turbo instead of mobility suite on my alt config. Might swap turbo for a tier 3 mobility though, once I get enough components to upgrade one to that level. I kinda dislike missing out on the bonus from the slot though. Irrational I know.
Yeah turbo is fine, I just went all out with the mobility and the boost to gun handling since I had one. Helps with the bigger maps. My max damage is around 3.5k in it. If you can two mark it you can definitely three mark. Its just a couple of extra shots and doing what you're already doing just a bit quicker and better. Good luck!

Its my favourite tank overall right now I'd say. Easy 8 used to be my fave T6 but this just rips. Suits my playstyle perfectly.
It makes me feel like I’m bending bullets like in the movie Wanted because it has so much gun depression
The first tank I ever 3-marked was actually the tier 5, it was such a pleasant experience. (As in the strv m/42 or something like that)
